Raf Leuchars are hosting thier annual airshow on september 11th with the usual displays with the Reds, tornado. jaguar, Nimrod, F16, typhoon and others.

With the Tornado they are going to be doing a simulated bombing run.

Thought i'd give it a mention

Yeah i'll be going, Got the day booked off of work already for it.

Forgot to mention but this year they are letting people on the large aircraft. Something they have not done for a while.
Ive not been since I was about 12, so exact flying displays I cant remember, except the Vulcan, I got to see the Vulcan biggrin.gif
I do somewhat remember a hunter and buckaneer doing a simulated dogfight one year as well.

Odd enough I saw a formation flypast today over my house with aircraft with full landing lights on. What was odd though, they appeared to be prop based trainer aircraft. 4 in a dimond formation.

B51 has now been confirmed for the show and 4 Typhoon's 3 on static and 1 on display.

German F4's are coming, which maybe thier last time and there might be a flypast by a B1B

tempted for next year to book the hospitality ticket for myself and my dad, then you get 2 days access and hopitality tent treatment, talks by raf personal, up close and personal looks at the aircraft, ones probably not open to the public.

What airshow's near you smile.gif

Thats great if you like your helecoptors smile.gif but ive never been a fan of those. Got good participation from different countries, but leuchers had at one point as well but alot of them started to drop out, like the italians with the f104's
