Evening all, how goes?

I have my dates for IOT which am I eagerly looking forward to commencing. However; unfortunately I start two weeks before my brother's wedding day in which I am part of the ceremony.

I have said that I wouldn't be able to attend as cadets are not allowed to leave IOT during - at least - the first four weeks. Is this entirely true or is it a myth that I have read somewhere?

Would Cranwell be likely to grant me leave on compassionate grounds or should I varify my status as absent?
