Air Cadets - 'The Next Generation'. Cadets in your local Air Training Corps (ATC) and Combined Cadet Force (CCF(RAF)) are enjoying flying, gliding, going on camps, taking part in all kinds of action, adventure and sports. It’s great fun too, with the opportunity to enjoy an enviable social life and make many new friends.

Foreword by Air Commodore Jon Chitty, Commandant Air Cadets

(Any cadets ever met him before? I have smile.gif)

I never was an air cadet but after telling my wee brother that he gets to learn how to fly a plane, he signed up! So my brother will hopefully be an air cadet soon and my mother is quite upset that her children are all joining the airforce. (My sister announced yesterday that she is joining the RAF as a lawyer) I just realized how much my family rocks. lol

i was in the ATC for 2 yrs. i had to give up because i moved from york to portsmouth. i loved it! one thing about joining tho, the more you put in, the more you'll get out. i wasn't able to put in as much effort as i wanted, as i had a lot of other stuff on on weekends and my family books holidays really early, so it was all booked and paid for by the time the camp dates came out. one time i was really lucky though, i got to go to the himalayas in india for 3 weeks! it was absalutely amazing, and got to find out about a totally different culture, plus climb up to nearly 18,00ft!!
