Addison takes temporary leave from Seattle Grace and makes a road trip to Los Angeles in order to visit some old friends from medical school. While in LA, she helps resolve a surrogacy problem, where it seems the surrogate had unprotected sex with many other guys on the week she was implanted with the fertilized egg.

I liked the backdoor pilot a lot, although the elevator scene reminded me of Meredith, and that's not who Addison is. But Kate Walsh is such a versatile actress, she can do comedy and drama, and that's what made the backdoor pilot so great.


I really loved Paul Adelstein as Cooper too. He was excellent, I thought.

I think they've got a great cast, and if people keep an open mind the show should do really well.

At first I was disappointed when I heard about Addison/Kate leaving the Seattle Grace. But then watched these 2 episodes which were pretty funny and it's really great to see Merrin Dungey back on TV. I really like this actress and I can't wait to see more Kate/Merrin scenes.

The elevator thing was pretty funny but you are right it would have been better if it had not reminded me of Meredith...lol
