NEWS:
4-22-2013: Hello! Big news guys! We are going to be getting rid of our word count..now this does not mean we will allow poor quality posts made on the site. We are still an intermediate to advanced roleplay site, we are simply just taking the pressure away. We want to focus on quality over quantity. Our freestyle and traditional applications still require a roleplay sample from new members but as of now, there will be no more word count on PFD. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact a staff member.
3-17-2013:All threads that are over 1 month old, have been archived. If you'd like your thread out and about back on the board - please contact any staff member and they will move it. We are also looking into adding vampires back onto the board once we figure out how to write them in. Also, if you are a new member check out the wanted character section or the canon list - lots of awesome plots are waiting for you! We still accept original characters too. :)
2-27-2013: We are having an activity check. If you are a pending or approved member, you are required to post in it. It can be found in the OOC section. We are also still in search of a fourth admin to join our team. If you are interested, please contact Chelsea or Sarahroo. Our activity is also picking up, yay for new members! Please check our wanted canon section!

SHERIFF'S OFFICE
Where Sheriff Bryan and the rest of his deputies can be found. It's an old two story building, the bottom half would be the jailhouse, four steel cells and a desk for the guard to sit at. The upstairs is the office where the Sheriff and his deputies meet. There's also two hitching posts outside for your horses. This is also where bounties will be posts and paid.

OLD PATHWAY BAPTIST
Aspen's long standing place of worship. There are enough pews inside to comfortably seat fifty and what few windows there are have been recently replaced with stained panels. A fenced, public cemetery is located behind the building.

SAWMILL
This place puts a lot of Aspen's younger men to work, aging ranges from sixteen to sixty, but you got to have a strong back and thick boots to stand up here. This is where all of the timber is brought in from Pine's Vail and other suppliers to be stripped, treated and cut for housing, floors and in some cases custom orders are placed, but for a price of course. Owned by none other than Judge Sawyer, the crooked lawmen runs more than just an honest mill behind the scenes.

COAL COUNTY STOCKYARDS
The only Livery for miles, folks from all over flock to these yards. Aspen takes pride in its livestock and whether you are looking for a calf to raise and butcher, a horse to break and ride or a whole herd for your new homestead, you'll find top quality here. No sickly or poorly cared for animals are accepted on the grounds and if you have an aim of mind to rustle you up a few better think again. It is heavily guarded with prying eyes and you'll be shot dead where you stand if you give any inclination you're up to no good. Auctions begin every Saturday at noon unless noted otherwise. Marigold Jackson puts her veterinarian skills to use here and has been given a small work space for such duties. Managed by Claire Gentry

CREEKSMITH HOUSING
Located on the east side of the town, the Creeksmith neighborhood is not the greatest. The homes are falling apart and run down, constantly needing to be repaired. It's a poverty neighborhood, for those that are less fortunate. Their wagons barely get them where they need to go and most of their horses are under nourished.

EVERGREEN NEIGHBORHOOD
For the middle to upper class, these homes range from simple to immaculate, depending on how much money the owners have and are willing to spend. Some are fancier then others and the wagons are nicer, as well as the horses you see around here are healthy. A lot of the residents here have maids, servants and groundsmen.

THE RUSTY SPUR SALOON & HOTEL
If the people of Aspen can agree on two things it's that the name of this establishment is horrible and that it should never be changed. Frank Spur was the founder of this place and will forever be a Legend of Aspen. It is the hot spot of the town and offers fine whiskey, saucy women, hot food, warm beds and is a gamblers dream. A friendly show is offered every Friday night and Saturday's skit is more risque for the male specimen.

COURTHOUSE
This spacious building has seen much action and many criminals pass through its doors in its long years of service. Three stories tall, wood paneled and harboring some of the meanest bailiffs in the country. End of the line for most outlaws and bandits once they go through its halls are a short length of rope. Judge Sawyer is not known as a forgiving man and you can bet your bottom dollar if you're not contributing to his pockets your sentencing will not be shown much mercy no matter how small or severe the crime.

CITY CENTER
Over the last few years Aspen has really began to grow in size, which in turn has brought about new businesses and it continues to be a town where opportunity is possible. The City Center is nearly always busy, especially on weekends when shop owners run their specials. It is well taken care of with bushels of flowers in the spring that bloom in sections of the side walk and benches are placed throughout the town for you to stop and rest. A wishing well with a fountain is in the middle of the cross roads, try your luck and toss a penny.

LARAMIE FALLS
Four miles North of Pines Vail is untouched land thick with cedar and oak trees, narrow paths make for the road and the only direction left to go is up the mountain side. It is here that the Ridge boys run their logging business and with Aspen continuing to grow, they provide the majority of timber that is used to build homes and renovate businesses. The falls on the river run rapid over the rocky bends and it's ill advised to swim or bathe.

THE RED EYE
Situated on the Western edge of the town is a Saloon that come honestly by its name. Owned, operated and occupied by the Red Ridge gang, this place is known for grade A stiff whiskey and smooth thighs. Whether you're in for a drink, a woman or to place your days earnings at a bet in poker, The Red Eye accommodates whatever fix you need. It is well known that outsiders are expected to mind their manners in this establishment and causing a ruckus tends to end fatally. The available beds are only rented long enough for you to get done with whatever business you paid for, Red Eye does not double as a hotel for anyone not a member of the pack.

TOWN SQUARE
The Heart of Pine's Vail is for the most part an eye sore, a ghostly looking place but since the gang moved in and has taken over, it is slowly coming back to life if only a little. Most of the buildings are run down, dust filled boxes and while it will never thrive with a hustle and bustle, there is enough to keep it going and to keep the townsfolk from doing completely without. In the center is the gallows, an eerie reminder that if you cross a certain line within Pine's Vail, your boots will drag boards for whatever reason the gang see's fit. Then occupants of the town don't seem to mind. After all, they have supper on their table now that the men have a place of work at the Falls.

DEVILS BLUFF
Deep in the Kiowa Mountains between Aspen and Pines Vail is Devils Bluff, a steep cliff located halfway to the peak. Few men have been able to venture this area and make it out a live or unharmed as it is highly populated with grizzlies, cougars and of course, wolves. It is in these Bluffs where the Red Ridge gang have their fallout camp. There is a maze of twists and turns protected on each side by steep embankments that lead to a small clearing at the back of the bluffs. Shacks, tents and supplies stay fully stocked for when trouble gets too hot on their tail and they need to flock from civilization for an extended stay. |

THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS
The beautiful wild and rustic Rocky Mountains. The mountains are prime for hunting and capturing game such as deer, rabbits, squirrel and other small edible animals. Be weary of bears and wolves though, they are the predators and have no problem taking down a human if they find it to be an easy kill. There are trails all around the mountains though, some man made while others are animal made.

THE MINES
On the edge of the Rocky Mountains and between Aspen and Pine Vails, are where the mines can be found. A lot of Aspen and Pine Vail's civilians work there since job opportunities are quite limited in their small towns. They mine not only coal for trains and ships, but sometimes happen to come across gold.

THE PLAINS
The plains consist of rolling hills and grassy pastures. It sits just on the edge of the Rocky Mountains and goes on for many, many miles. Its a known place for cattle men to take their cattle for grazing but often are competing against the wild horses for the grass. A river separates the plains from the mountains and is a well known place for all sorts of animals to come for a drink.
