I like the symbol, it looks awesome. I like the effect of putting it into the text entry box too. However, since I tend to go on and on and post rather lengthy topics when I speak my mind, it could be quite a problem...
To give an example, if I were to type a 500 word post, typing in the bottom-right region of the box would become very problematic, because I wouldn't be able to see the text I'm entering. A problem? Yep.
Again, I do like the symbol and the effect, but in my humble opinion, it would be a bit more functional if you took one of the following actions:
a. Remove it entirely, or place it outside of the box somewhere (just make sure it looks nicely positioned).
b. Make the image about 70-80% transparent so you can see black text over it with ease. That would make it look quite nice actually.
Well, I just figured I would point that out, as it's the first thing that I noticed that didn't appeal to me. I believe that constructive criticism and helpful advice is a good thing, but ultimately it's up to you.
