I enjoy most of the album. It's not a favorite of mine, but I particularly enjoy the title track, Take A Breath, and This Heaven. The sound effects on Castellorizon are pretty cool and Dave really shines with the sax on Red Sky At Night. Overall I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars. There are a couple of songs I skip on there and it's a little too relaxing for me. I know that kind of sounds weird but I understand Dave is 60 now and he wants to "settle down" with his music. Just my opinions.

I think it is a great album - On An Island and Take a Breath are amazing songs, especially Take a Breath live (wow!!). The rest of the album is very relaxed, and I would have liked to see more rock tunes on it. However, it is very solid, and probably a favourite of mine.

I absolutely love this disc...David's playing is like fine wine and I love the influence of Polly's lyrics on him..

I agree with you cevor. Lots of people moan about how Polly is writing all the lyrics now but I find them fine and quite like the gentleness of them compared to the cynicalism of Roger Waters ones.

I like how calm it is. I've only listened to all of it once, but my favorites were On an Island and Smile...I dont think there were any I disliked, but I'll see how much I like it after some more listens

From a production standpoint, and the overall depth of the music throughout, it's Gilmour's best effort. A lot of time and care went into the album, and it shows!

This album is really becoming one of my favorite relaxing albums, in addition to Smile and OAI, I'm really starting to like Where We Start a lot.
