He compels himself to look after his younger brother since their mother died when he was just 4 years old. Together with his brother, they embark on a quest to find the demon that killed their mother.

John is the father of Sam and Dean Winchester and the husband of the deceased Mary Winchester. This ex-marine eventually devotes his life in hunting down the demon that killed his wife. In the course of his quest, he also becomes a con artist. Previously, he hunts on his own but crosses paths with his two sons.
