Obvious rules are obvious

Who: Dory VS Darshe (who'd've thought?)
Post Count: Current
Restrictions: No dragons, npc's, fireworks, frying pans, muffins, mounts, or ravioli.

Setting: A grassy plain.

The sun was bright. Really bright. Too bright. Freya didn't like it. Then again, Freya had never much liked the sun, even before her "affliction" had taken hold of her body. Now, she just had a half decent reason. The rays stung her eyes, though not so badly as she once had remembered, and while she was lucky that it didn't fry her alive, it didn't leave her with the entirety of her abilities either. Tomorrow, she would probably bitch, and rant, and rave about it; but today it was a good thing. Today, Freya was sparring.

She had thought about the decision long and hard before she had made it, and began to push. Though it was a scene that often played in the back of her mind, fighting Darshe was not the first thing Freya wanted to do much of ever. She wasn't afraid of him, and at the moment, she wasn't even upset with him, but there were too many factors involved for her to ignore matters entirely. He had been bedridden for days. She had no doubt that he would be sore, even rusty-- and if he was going to be marching in to battle, that was not acceptable. She'd have far rathered he put his life in her hands if they were going to be in anyone's, while he was getting back on to his feet. Herself, she could stop. The world?

Besides, as she had insisted time after time again, this wasn't just for him. She hadn't had much in the way of practice since the fight with Xanthe either, and after all, she was a violent being. Stressed. She needed a violent outlet that didn't require the needless taking of innocent lives, and something that would be a challenge. The prospect of venting that on Darshe was horrible, but in circumstances where it was mutually beneficial...

She'd gotten her way, but she still wasn't sure of her argument as she stood, feet firmly planted in the grass of Yevela flats. She didn't show it. The day she had gotten her way was a bright one, but not particularly sunny. Clouds were rolling in from the west, leaves beginning to turn for the moisture that would eventually fall, but she'd chosen a nice flat patch of land. Fesseln had drawn the circle, well wider than was traditionally acceptable (A diameter of ten feet stretched to nearly fourty), but his cooperation was his resentful blessing. Now, he had gone back to Roft, leaving Aiden in his stead.

"On a count of three then!" The vampire called across the space as she shifted her weight to her other foot. Normal attire of jeans and beater, corset forsaken but sword thudding familiarly against the backs of her knees. Familiarity of weapon aside, she still missed the corset. It's pressure was reassuring, protective in it's own rite, but impeding. She had no doubt that this was going to get ugly. A full range of motion was bound to be her best friend.

Eventually.

Darshe stood barely inside the circle keeping his distance from freya. Her fighting style was up close and personal much as his own was, however he had a couple of new 'toys' and wanted to test them out.

freya had insisted on this spar as a way of easing back into things before returning to his usual reckless behavior which of course just happened to benefit her in that it would spare some poor fop somewhere the misfortune of running into a freya who needed to kill something. Win win situation....as long as he didn't screw up and get himself killed. Not that he wasn't sure freya could stop herself he knew she could. It was himself he was worried about, worried he'd be slower than he should've been. That's why he was going to start the pace off slow and force freya to work her way in towards him.

He reached back deciding the obvious choice for the start of this battle was the new buster sword. It was a somewhat risky move using an unfamiliar weapon in his first fight since recovery, however he found that it wasn't as unwieldly as he had imagined, standing in an open field he had little to worry about since there was nothing for the sword to collide with....well besides freya obviously. He gave the blade a last minute look checking for some imperfection or defect he might've missed earlier, and found none.

As freya counted he took a stance the sword out and slightly behind him clearly preparing for a wide arc swing. He inched in a bit as well unsure how much counter force he'd need to apply to balance the sword if he swung it full force he didn't want to inadvertantly push himself toward the edge by misjudging something so simple.

Defense was the name of the game today, as long as he could repel freya's attacks he could satisfy both her need to fight and her concerns about his abilities and the setting though seemingly neutral ground actually gave him a slight advantage.

"Whenever you're ready." He called out.

Whenever she was ready. Of course it was "Whenever she was ready". He wasn't going to let her take the defensive ground. Noo that would have delayed the need to smash, and force him to make the first move. Of course he wouldn't do that. Too many morals.

That was fine, though. Freya didn't have that many morals.

"One!" She shouted, and immediately started moving. If he wasn't going to let her have the defensive ground, it meant that he was keeping it for himself-- and that meant that he wanted her up close and personal. Any other circumstance, and she would have been happy to give him what he wanted-- anything he wanted-- but a fight is not a case where that's a good idea.

So, instead, she moved to the side. A step, and then a cartwheel-- mostly because she could, partially because she knew Darshe was capable of a ranged attack and she'd prefer to not fry before she even did anything.

Her heart wasn't in it. The flames that burned at her fingertips were nothing special, and certainly not expedient, but as she rose from the cartwheel she launched them anyway, twisting her body and using the momentum to duck forward behind them, hands lifting to the clasp of Purebanes sheath.

Darshe couldn't help but smile freya had played into his hand, almost so perfectly he wondered if she was doing it on purpose. He knew full well her only real options of ranged attack were magic and this gave him his first opportunity to use his new shield. But in actuality that wasn't even necessary yet, instead he swung the buster channeling magic into the blade. If freya was going to throw a half assed attack at him he was going to make her regret it.

The buster sword produced a gale force and sonic attack squelching her meager flames before they even reached him. "Surely you can do better than that freya." He goaded, he wasn't going to put the mirror shield to use until she actually put out a attack worth reflecting. He followed up his counter with a second swing, this time releasing the magic he had begun pooling into the blade energy lashed out in a crescent arc following the path of his swing.

Very soon now freya would be regretting not closing in when she had the chance. Now she might not get the chance at all before the spar was over.

And that was why she'd kept moving. Getting the strap loose, she dug her heel in to the ground, stopping her advance abruptly and pivoting as the sheath began to slip from her back, clasp caught only on fabric. She lifted the hand she'd focused on the clasp to the purebane's hilt, and pulled it sharply, twisting again as she slammed it down in front of her, flat of the blade facing Darshe and took shelter from the first blast behind it. The back draft of the sonic force pulled the sheath free from it's snag, and she almost grinned.

Too perfect. This strategy thing. This was something worth looking in to.

"But Darshe!" she called from behind the sword, almost sweetly as Aiden ran frantically away from the ring to catch the sheath. "You shouldn't go too fast all at once!" The energy slammed in to the sword, nearly knocking it out of it's standing toward her, and then washing over the top and hilt. She duck lower beneath it, just out of the energy's flow. Too perfect.

Again she twisted, this time to face forwards though still she kneeled, letting her own energy pour through her veins. A mix of hot and cold this time, bringing goosebumps to her skin and forcing tiny hairs to rise as she began to flush a quiet pink with warmth.

"You might hurt yourself!"

She thrust her hands out on either side of the sword not even a moment later, letting the flames erupt with all the fury her previous attack had failed to deliver. Two bubbling clouds of fire that festered for an instant before they rocketted forward and joined in a rope patterned tendril.

She clenched one fist as it moved, and then the other. Nulflame and Energyshell before she ducked again behind the sword.

She was going to need it.

Something was wrong. Darshe couldn't quite put his finger on it as well as he knew freya he knew this was abnormal for her. Then he remembered the pattern, she had used this style before, or at least something like it.

His defense was two fold, first shifting to stance with a more solid base, and bringing his shield arm forward ducking his head behind the shield as he chanted. "flamma absum quod tribuo mihi vires"(According to an online translator that means "flames be gone and grant me strength") Crimson orbs appeared around Darshe like fireflies swirling as the flames engulfed him only they didn't engulf him, not truly. The shield's magic worked and repelled some of the attack turning it back while his spell nullified the flames that made it past or around his shield his body consuming the nullified magical power as his own. Though the flames had not directly touched him sheer heat was still an issue, especially in armor, if he endured too many of those freya just might bake him alive. Still he was fairly certain this one would be a surprise, freya hadn't seen him absorb magic before at least not fire magic anyway. Now she would realize just how limited her options were.

But while she contemplated those he would give her something else to worry about. Her energy shell may have been a solid defense against a magical counter attack however it was no protection from the sheer force generated by the buster sword. As the last of her attack was either absorbed or repelled he rose out of his defensive stance ignoring the fact that the mirror shield was still searingly hot, trusting his clothing and armor to endure and residual heat, as he swung the buster once more this time stepping in with the swing and giving it as much oomph as he could manage. Hopefully he'd be able to topple her and capitalize on the opening.

Freya took her, albeit very small, moment to breathe. As Darshe spoke his incantation, Freya made one of her own, though she couldn't have said she knew what the fuck she was saying. It was more the intention that mattered as she pressed the flats of her hands against the flat of her sword, and completed her nullifications. The fire bounced back, but not in near so much force as she had expected. Something was wrong.

Readjusting her stance, she pressed her hands more firmly against the blade, preparing herself as she reconsidered her strategy. If there was an X factor...

Not much time there either. The blast pressed against the sword again, harder, and this time ripped it from the ground to soar over her head.

Bad. Could've been worse. It could've gone IN to her head, but she had been prepared. So much for strategy.

As the blade sailed through the air, Freya pushed sharply to stand, already in a run before she had even completely hit her feet. Her fists gripped tightly at her side as she charged him-- too much distance to cross before another offense, but she didn't need to. She just needed progress.

Rather suddenly, Purebane halted in midair, hovering for barely an instant before it flipped back, blade pointing directly toward Darshe's right eye. It was making better time than she was.

There finally he'd forced her charge, separating her from purebane was just a bonus. The fact that the sword was now moving independantly of freya however was a slight problem. Emphasis on slight.

He waited letting her and the blade close in a few paces then took action. His eyes closed as he focused on the spells he wanted. 'Hastaga'. In another moment he was gone, a blur moving at her with ridiculous speed while holding the buster sword in front of him hoping to catch freya off guard as she ran at him. He poured magic into his sword and it swirled around the blade he stopped suddenly thrusting the sword toward her and unleashing the magic, white wind lashed out in multiple directions he purposefully dialed back the power to make sure the spell wouldn't cut her to pieces instead the worst he expected was perhaps some deep lacerations.

As Freya and the sword reached even, the blade began to slow, and then stop, waiting patiently as, again, Freya's heel dug in to the ground and she focused her momentum in to a leaping cartwheel. As her body moved over it, she grasped the hilt and broke it from it's hover. She swung it downwards as her body lowered toward the ground again, slamming it once more in to the ground and ducking behind it as the buster sword swung toward her. But, as the swing fell short, Freya realized that she'd just made a vital mistake.

Shit.

Abandoning the sword again as the white wind began it's assault, lining her arms, first with gashes that would start shallow and grow deeper as the attack pushed around the blade obstruction, she slammed her fist in to the ground and activated the teleport ring.

Unless he could feel the progression of his spell, or feel the tiny snap of the teleport, it would have been hard to tell that she had even moved until she'd appeared behind him and punched at the back of his head, aiming directly for where spine met skull.

She didn't hold back this time. Worst case scenario was that she'd have to carry him back to Roft and back to a healer, but if he wanted to play rough, hell, she could play rough. All of her body went in to the strike.

For someone so attached to her sword, Freya seemed perfectly willing to sacrifice it to whatever onslaught he threw at her. He wondered briefly what she would do if he broke it.

He was considering going airborne, yet as she vanished he realized the time for that was perhaps past. Freya appeared behind him leaving very little chance for defense, in fact his only real option because he noticed it so late was to move forward and hope whatever attack she threw fell short or at least landed shallow. Luck however wasn't on his side, freya's fist connected albeit shallowly, and her gauntlets did their job, the extra kick from the power gauntlets tossed him forward the only saving grace being that since he'd advanced she missed her mark instead hitting him in the back rather than a vital point. He stumbled a bit struggling to keep upright, knowing that falling now with her behind him would bring this fight to a quick end. In hand to hand range those gauntlets gave freya the advantage.

He felt the stinging pain in his back as he spun around to face her. "That's more like it."
He smirked as his wings appeared. "Looks like you're getting serious now." Rather than push an attack he took to the air knowing freya needed her sword to fly but he had no such limitation. Hovering above with buster sword in hand he waited. Having just used her teleport freya only had one way to reliably attack him in the air and to do that she required her sword.

As soon as she went for it he'd make his move.

Freya grinned as her attack landed. She'd missed her mark, but she'd also forced him to change his strategy. Not so quick an ending to the battle as she'd been hoping for, but that was probably for the best as well. They'd only just started playing. Why stop it now?

"Serious?" She called as he took to the air, considering her options quietly. Going for her sword was a no blow-- he knew her too well for that. He'd expect that, and it'd leave her open. She also didn't have a whole lot of other options. Fire was easily deflected, and she couldn't reach him without wings. Yet, unless she could keep him busy, she was just a sitting duck.

"Never!"

Clenching her fists again, she added shell to her defenses, and stepped a couple paces back from her position. Thrusting her right hand toward Purebane, it wrenched again from the ground, and she pushed her left hand toward Darshe, loosing another rope of fire toward him, though this one was only a single strand.

There it was, the opening he was waiting for. It was better than he had hoped, she had made the mistake of occupying both her hands in an effort to recall her sword while trying to prevent him from attacking instead though she was leaving herself wide open. He shifted his grip so he was holding the buster in one hand with a reverse grip.

He teleported to her right side where she had left herself no defense whatsoever. Reached to grab her extended hand before she could grasp purebane and swung around stepping in behind her to throw her out of the circle.....painfully.

Something was wrong.

As the flame blasted through the space Darshe had previously occupied, Freya cursed quietly and lowered her hand, in the middle of trying to turn around when he manifested between her and her blade, and grasped her hand.

"Shit!" Only an instant to think before she found herself spinning and then flying through the air. She brought the offending hand closer to her body, picking up on Purebane's speed as it rocketed past Darshe, over her head, and slammed again in to the ground too close to the rings edge for comfort. Her back crashed against it, knocking the breath out of her as she slid to the ground, and shook her head, pushing the disorientation away.

She rose quickly, but she was still wobbly on her feet. Nonetheless, she thrust one hand forward as she stumbled back and beside her sword, letting loose another blast of Firaga, more in flame thrower form than any other, this time. She didn't have the concentration to pattern it just yet, and it wasn't an offensive gesture anyway. She just needed to regain her baring before she risked letting him too close again, and the fucker moved fast.

"You should've just said something if you wanted to hold my hand!" She yelled past the flames as she gripped Purebane's hilt.

The throw was both successful and a failure, in that despite that he managed to throw her she didn't actually leave the ring which meant the fight went on.At this rate it was only a matter of time before someone really got hurt in this 'friendly spar'.

"flamma absum quod tribuo mihi vires" He repeated the spell from earlier as he charged into the flames the null spell drinking in freya's magic as he absorbed the spell. What he didn't absorb was repelled by his shield as he went. The heat build up was intense and he was almost certain his hair must've caught fire a couple times. The null spell quickly squelched any blazes on his person, but he only needed to endure it awhile longer, perhaps too long he worried. Then cast the thought aside besides freya wouldn't keep feeding him magic energy forever. Once she realized she was only feeding him extra power he had no doubt she would stop the spell. The moment she did would be the moment he'd swing the buster and attempt to force her out of the circle with the sheer force of it's sonic boom.

Once she'd gotten a firm enough grip on her blade, Freya's wings unfolded, flickering with the magical drain as they manifested behind her and flapped once, twice in preparation.

And then she was off. Like a shot, directly upwards. She didn't stop the flow of flames until she was already over his head, and immediately arched her flight to the left, tracing the edge of the circle and releasing a few more pulsing fireballs. They were nothing extreme-- she hadn't even paused to see if he was still moving or wounded-- but she hoped they would be enough to distract him. Keep him busy for however long it took her to calm herself down, and get back in to a rhythm she could manipulate.

The heat was quickly becoming overwhelming as Freya never let up with her flamethrower like stream and took off into the air. "Damnit." He muttered and his own wings pushed him up after her. "Don't make me chase you!" He called out as he finally drew thor, lightning and sonic booms while fighting in the air? What could be more fitting?

The stream of fire didn't end until she felt she had a safe lead on him. But the idea of having a 'safe' lead on someone who could throw lightning was questionable at best. Her first fire ball was promptly rejected, sent back at her by his Mirror shield as he rose into the air after her a second was simply avoided with a push from his wings sending him out of it's path and conveniently out of the way of what followed, she didn't seem to be bothering to aim. "Now that's just wasteful, I'm almost insulted." He finally pulled Thor from it's place at his side. Like the rest of him it was hot to the touch thanks to Freya, but now that he was in the air flitting about his temperature was quickly returning to normal levels. "If you're just going to run I'm going to end this now!" He called out swinging the buster sword with his right hand alone, aiming the swing in such a way to lead freya slightly so the gale force and the thunderous sonic boom that followed would catch her wings and momentarilly stall her while he swung Thor and unleashed thundaga. A simple one two combination, stop the opponents movement and hit em hard.

As she moved, Freya breathed deeply, counting quickly inside her head.

1, 2. "Damnit." Darshe muttered behind her, and she had to keep herself from smiling as she continued counting. She was fairly certain that nothing could amuse her quite the way frustrating Darshe was, in that moment. 3, 4, 5. "Don't make me chase you!" he followed.

She grinned. "But Darshe!" 6, 7. Fireball one. "It's no fun when it's easy!" She spun as the first fireball rocketed back toward her, whizzing over her head as she fell in to a corkscrew, diverting her path closer to the center of the circle, and loosing fireball two in the movement. 8, 9. The second fireball whizzed over her back, and she lifted her wings from her stomach, killing her momentum and bringing herself back upright.

"Now that's just wasteful, I'm almost insulted." Darshe taunted.

10.

She gripped both hands around Purebane's hilt, and lifted them quickly to eyelevel until purebane pointed at the sky. Suddenly, and just as quickly, her wings vanished entirely again and she was falling, swinging her sword downwards.

The sonic boom went over her, though the edges caught her upper body, pushing her a couple feet back toward the ring's edge before she hit the ground, and slammed Purebane's edge in to the dirt. It was as she lifted the sword sharply, leaving a rivet in the ground before her, and releasing a single dark lance for Darshe's stomach, that the lower branches of the thundaga scraped over her shoulders and face.

Now... fire burns. Large quantities of fire burn a lot more. Such was similar, but not exactly the same with thunder. Electricity makes you tingle. A bolt of fucking lightning? Well, that was an experience. Her first, actually. At least she'd started with a low voltage.

She wobbled, skin more alive and tender than a vampire had any right to have, fangs buzzing with what was left of the charge. Suddenly, she didn't have any particular desire to fight. Or stand, for that matter; but it wasn't as though she was in any immense measure of pain anymore... just extremely uncomfortable, and discomfort was no excuse to simply let an opponent win.

"Well, that was new." She commented awkwardly, and shook her head, driving the feeling from her mind as she slammed Purebane in to the earth again, calling the ice of magical energy back to her blood. Nul electric, and flame with the motion, and her palm slapped against the hilt, adding water and ice for good measure.

Darshe hovered watching Freya's aerial acrobatics, her sudden use of the dark lance surprised him and he only had time to begin to move not totally dodge the attack, it tore into his armored jacket shearing fabric and gouging the plates beneath. How many times was he glad he'd had it reinforced to serve as light armor now?

He was about to shift to defense, then sighed as he realized Freya had dropped into a defensive stance again. "Always defending either when it's too late or no longer necessary." He shook his head "You should be better at this by now Freya or has it simply been too long since you've fought?" he taunted raising his sword this time he'd hit her with something she wouldn't expect, the power would have to be dialed down considerably for her sake, but it would be more than enough to remind her standing around waiting for him to attack her was a bad idea when he had the range advantage in the first place.

He flooded the buster blade with a basic cure spell. "I hope you're ready, this is gonna hurt. A lot." He rose into the air spinning once and flaring his wings out at the apex followed by curling his wings in as he swung the sword downward unleashing it's gale force sonic attack and with it the cure spell, spreading out into the winds generated by the buster sword creating a litteral healing wind she could run but there would be no dodging it the attack without perhaps some form of teleport. It was just too massive as his elevation and descent created one massive gale, originating from his original swing yet continuing as he rapidly descended forcing air away from him as he went ending with the sword smashing into the ground with earth shattering force.

It was bigger than it needed to be, but he'd never admit that it was only because the lance spell had been too close for comfort. His confidence had caused him to grow lax in his defense and she had surprised him. It would not happen again and the best way to cripple a vampire and ensure they were too slow to surprise you again? Infuse them with life that shouldn't exist in a undead body.

"I'm just playing nice, Darshe!" Freya retorted, taking a deep breath and slamming her hand against the flat of the blade before her. As her hand collided with the blade, a shadow of her handprint manifested on the other side, coalescing in to another dark lance which shot again, toward Darshe's stomach.

"I hope you're ready, this is gonna hurt. A lot." He taunted, and she grimaced. Such a warning was never good, especially out of Darshe. Something she had done must have pushed him, and pushed him hard. Either way... she was in trouble.

She braced herself against the shield of her blade, and resisted the urge to peer around it. It was a damn good thing she did, too, because that was when the healing wind gusted forth. Most of it whipped against the blade, but just as she'd felt the breeze when she hid from the simple sonic force, she felt the haze of cure against her back, and she couldn't seem to get herself small enough to evade it. Like a smoke of acid, the spell burned her skin, blackening the outter layers of her back, and the backs of her arms. She bit down on her tongue, hard, choking the threat of a scream with the metallic taste of blood, and shook her head, feeling the effects of the battle between deterioration and vampirism. By the time the wind had passed, her head had fallen forward, forehead slamming against violet, glasslike metal. There the pain was.

"Well that wasn't fair." She gasped as she lifted her head, letting it fall back ever so slightly before she shook it hard, and jumped to her feet, eyes blazing. He thought pain was going to make her surrender? Apparently he didn't know her as well as she thought he did. Or rather, he didn't know the person she'd become; but then, she was already aware of that.

"No more games." She growled, embracing the pain and letting it send yet more heat in to her blood as she stepped in to a charge, a semi-circular wall of flames and vind erupting like lava behind Darshe, and arching up over his head. "Come-- HERE!"

Freya's first action, her second shadow lance missed entirely, somewhere between his rising and subsequent rapid plummet toward the ground her aim simply couldn't have accounted for his next attack.

He couldn't see the result of his spell yet, Freya had hidden herself behind her blade, trying desperately to avoid what was coming, likely in vain. As his sword smashed into the ground it shook the area and the buster vibrated intensely, threatening to break in his hands from such blatant abuse. He finally got to see how she'd held up under his assault, quite well, all things considered. It could have been much much worse.

However he had succeeded in forcing her to take this seriously. Her reaction was all the proof she was serious now. But she was forgetting in her pain induced anger that her attempt to push him towards her really was more like a idle threat. She couldn't really force him towards her with fire alone, and the barrier he could fly over, but he had pushed her to this, why not go and see what she could really do?

"But Freya dear, I've been the one chasing you this whole time." He replied as he flew toward her, "I've been the one waiting for you to hold still!"

As he flew the buster lagged behind him his other hand however still holding thor pointed it toward her and fired off a combination attack mixing the blades electrical power with a energy beam attack. The beam serving as the heart of the attack and the electrical power of thundaga spiraling around the beam lashing seemingly at random with tendrils of blue white power making an audible crackling sound as it went.

"Oh, don't you 'Freya dear' me," Freya steamed, eyes narrowing as she watched the energy form, and throwing her weight slightly to the left. Weaving out of the way of the energy core of the attack, and loosing a bit more ice in to her blood as one of the reaching arms of lightning came toward her. Instants before it touched, she released the nul shock, not completely canceling the spell, but trimming it back enough to give her the path she was looking for. "I'm gonna rip you apart!"

Her first hand reached for his wrist-- the one attached to the nuisance known as the buster sword with the almost startling speed of a pissed off vampire. Once she had hold of him, she would use it for leverage, capitalizing on her small frame and Darshe's large one to draw herself on top of the lagging blade, pushing against the side of the edge with her booted heel to twist it, and give herself a better platform-- not that the move must have felt much better for his poor hand. She didn't much care. She just wanted the damned thing somewhere where he couldn't use it.

The next order of business should have been his second blade, but strategy obviously wasn't working anyway, so instead, her second hand lashed out to grab for his neck. Not exactly a painful maneuver, and her hand sure as hell wasn't big enough to attempt to choke him, but if the maneuver worked out the way she was hoping, it would force him to drop the buster sword, and leave her in the perfect position to climb him much the way an angry monkey might climb an offending, fleshy jungle gym. Besides, without the platform of the sword, she'd need as much of a grip as she could get if she wanted to keep her back off the ground.

So she dodged the beam, that was expected though. Linear attacks usually were dodged without the element of surprise. What was surprising though was that she went for the buster sword instead of Thor, despite that Thor was the blade he had just made use of.

Then he realized why she had targeted the large blade first, it would be difficult for him to do anything about her attempts to latch on to him with the extra weight of the large blade tying up his hand. "No you don't" He arched his back bringing his right knee up attempting to hit either her face or upper chest as she attempted to climb up on him while he flew, for good measure though he decided to turn it into a backwards half flip kicking again just after the moment where briefly she would be on top and he beneath her which would be followed by the sudden drop as he would be facing down and she with her back towards the ground had no where to go but the short drop to the ground.

"Shit-" Freya hissed as Darshe arched back, releasing her grip on his wrist and moving it instead-- loosely-- to his neck, kicking hard off of the sword and curling her knees against her stomach as the momentum of the struggle threw her upwards. Keeping her grip just tight enough to hold her, she adjusted her weight, swinging smoothly over the top of his wing to thud against his back. Uncurling her legs, she planted one foot on the square of his back for balance, and kicked at the buster sword with the other.

Only then did she realize that they were still spinning, and the kick had cost her a good deal more leverage than she had hoped.

"Oh you motherfu--" Her foot slipped, and she tightened her grip sharply on his neck as she fell flat against his back, managing to stay there mainly thanks to the wing in the way of further rotation.

Still, it didn't work out all that badly for her.

As they hit the ground, she gathered herself to one knee, kicking out again at the buster sword. She moved her grip from his neck, to place one hand on the back of his (far less breakable) head, and the other on his right shoulder, pushing against both with all the strength she could muster.

As Freya continued to persist in behaving like a savage Darshe decided enough was enough, her constant attempts to remove the buster sword from his hand were irritating and painful on his wrist fortunately he was able to let his whole arm swing out rather than the force of the impact being absorbed entirely by his wrist since she was kicking directly at the blade. "Oh screw it." He passed some energy into the buster and let it go followed by pulsing a surge of electrical current through his own body "I know how badly you want me but there's a child present." He was still making jokes, even now. His gaze shifted toward the edge of the ring, if she kept this up he could toss her out with little effort. If he didn't accidentally kill her first.

He'd rush for the sword in the brief moment she was stunned by the electricity and re-establish some semblance of a proper fight.

Freya grimaced, startled as the electricity hit her. Granted, it wasn't a whole lot, but it was enough to take her off guard, and she rocked back, momentarily. Shaking her head, she lifted her hands, and instead drove her heels in to the armored part of his back, pushing in to a back-flip.

"Hey, -I- was trying to stay vertical." She bit back, flicking her hand toward the Buster sword, and watching the flames of magic swallow it. She wasn't going to be able to damage the weapon... but she could sure as hell make it hard to pick up. "You're the one that thought hitting the ground with your face would be a good idea."

She cracked her neck as Purebane ripped itself from the ground, racing again through the air, this time toward Thor.

"Ditch the tricks and fight me like a man, god damnit!"
