So, I'm bored and I need to practise have discussion of the violent type with people. Which means I need people to play with.

So here's how it will work.

Battle Type: Free For All

Post Counts for those entering: Current. If you are under 1500 then bump yourself up to that.

Who I will be using: Richard and Leopold, I need to practise juggling two characters in a fight at once. No changes will be made to their skills.

Who is welcome: Everyone.

Setting: Lets make this interesting and difficult at the same time.

A dense forest on the side of a mountain, with the trees so tightly packed it is impossible to move effectively. Boulders half buried in the ground with moss grant a limited space for you to move. A stream can be heard some where close by but is drowned out by an argument by two men about whether a tree falls in the woods, whether it's still a tree or is it a log, despite it still maintaining all the tree like features of a tree, including leaves, growth and roots still attached to the ground.

I'll let all of you make the first move.

Convenient timing. I just so happen to be JUST bored enough to commit pvp suicide. Rather.... It would be trying -not- to commit pvp suicide, wouldn't it... Ehh who cares. Point is: I'll be using Xanthe. Been a while since I've played with her particular brand of insanity.

It's hard to be pissed off when you're too focused on one single task to see much of anything else. It's even harder not to be pissed off when that task strikes just a little too close to home. The steady click clack of metal plates against armor was beginning to drive her mad; always rhythmic, always in time with her steps and her swings no matter how carefully she took them. She was making a good deal of noise. She suspected it was that fact, more than any other, that edged so finely against her nerves. She was an assassin, for christs sake-- assassins don't make noise! It didn't matter that all she -really- wanted to do was scream-- which, she had to admit, would have made a good deal -more- noise-- the fact remained that the clanking was shaving gradually away from her patience.

Xanthe was lost. She'd been lost before, of course; on various missions in various places that looked at once just like this one and nothing like anything she'd ever seen again, but that part barely affected her. On the broad spectrum getting lost didn't really matter, she reflected irritably as she looped both hands over a low hanging branch, and lifted her feet to pull herself unnecessarily across the scant three feet of narrow space the trees allowed her before the avenue was closed entirely by yet another tree that forced her to, yet again, divert her path. She was lucky to be of a small frame, or she never would have gotten through at all. The occasional moss covered rocks gave temporary relief, but aside from them, she was beginning to feel claustrophobic.

And insane. She could almost swear she was hearing voices, underneath the brittle tones of the platemail that pinched at the insides of her knees. She didn't know why she felt the need to keep her entire body covered. She certainly wasn't a knight, much less one that required shining armor, and yet--

No, no, those were actual voices. Male voices, to be precise-- not Adrianna or one of her illusions. Adrianna never used males in her illusions... it simply took too much work. No, this was something else, and likely something physical.

Xanthe drew to a stop, feeling the armor silence around her frame as she stilled even her breathing. Slowly, she pulled the metal from one arm, double wrapping it around her torso as she lifted the arm to take hold of another low hanging bough. The claws of her gauntlets dug in to the bark of the tree behind which half of her body remained hidden. The helmet melted away from her head, to wrap in a crescent around the back of her neck as she listened.

Men indeed, arguing over trees and logs or so it seemed. If two men died in a forest where no one could hear them scream, were they still dead?

What about a single woman?

She stiffened her grip on the bough, and released the bark, pulling the metal from her second arm as well as she let left hand join right, and pulled herself off the ground. Her armor continued to clink as she perched, lifting one hand again and pressing it to her lips in order to let out a sharp whistle.

OOC: Yay! Someone joined! Was hoping for more though. Dunno why everyone is scared though.

"It is clearly not a tree." "It is a tree, it portrays all the necessary aspects of a tree that make trees both tree like and tree-ey" "It is on it's side and is there for a log." "Log schmog, do you not agree that all of it's roots are in the ground?" "Yes" "And you would also agree that it has all of it's leaves?" "I would" "And would you further agree that it was branches." "I would be inclined to do so" "Ah, then there for this is clearly a -" "log" "Yes! No, wait a minute" "Too late, ypou just admited it was a log." "You are using my logic." "I am, it proves I am great and you are not. There for all rights to do a happy jig are mine!"

Ever seen a paladin do a happy jig in full armour? Whilst comical, it does make you wonder how someone wearing such bulky metal can move so well. It took all of my restraint not to resist pushing him over.

"You sore loser!" shouted Richard as he failed around on the ground, pity he had enough experience uin being knocked over in full plate armour to know how to get up. Best thing to do to someone in heavy armour is to knock them down and then jump on them, knocks the fight out of them. Pity Richard moved just as I jumped, rolling himself to his right, shouldn't hhave pushed him over the tree, he had enough leverage to get himself to his knees.

"Sore nothing, I'm just a-" We both stopped, I had been too focused on Richard not to notice the presence approaching. We had heard the whistle though. Rasing a finger, I slipped quietly into the shadows of a tree, removing any trace of my aura from the area. Richard dusted himself off and coughed loudly, one hand near his mouth, the other creating a small ball of energy.

"Would you be so kind as to come into the open? I don't want to destroy this forest, but if I feel I am being threatened then I shall do what I deem to be necessary." he said, got to admit, his vague threat did give you the impression that if he was going to do something, it was going to be painful.

((OOC: Hope you don't mind me jumping in, will see if I can't get some people to jump in. I will be using the beggar.))

Now The Beggar was slightly confused, well not slightly very confused, he had been walking through a familiar part of the forest just a few moments ago. That part of the forest was a bit more open but of course due to lack of judgment he found himself wandering off course because he had never been to this portion of the woods. Minutes later he found himself in this hellhole where the trees were so close together their limbs blotted out the sky and the terrain was unstable due to the fact the moss and tree roots have grown uncontrolled for decades if not centuries. In his opinion a wildfire was much needed or this place would simply continue to grow and sap the soil of all remaining nutrients before becoming a large mass of dead wood. Though of course this wasn't his jurisdiction and with his luck starting a random fire here would cause the lady of Sanctuary to get on his ass for burning down a fair portion of her woods.

Now this idea kept reoccurring in The Beggar's mind as he continued his trek through the woods, squeezing between the tree trunks and tripping over exposed roots, occasionally stubbing his big toe on a large rock hidden under the moss for good measure. Also the fact that the staffs he wore on his back would occasionally get tangled up with low hanging branches to top everything off. Over this was a trip he would have avoided if he knew this would have been the outcome and the idea of burning the place to the ground was still floating around in his head.

Now he held one hand out in front of him and the other raised slightly but still fairly close to his side. Over his out stretched hand floated a magical flame which produced enough light to keep him from tripping over his own feet. His other hand was busy snapping every few steps, summoning a purplish flame tainted by dark magics, the purple flame only lasted a few moments before vanishing the beggar not feeding it enough energy to keep it going. It was obvious the Beggar was very annoyed by the situation, not only was the forest beginning to bug him he was now completely lost and forced to listen to someone bicker elsewhere about a log, or was it a tree. Either way it didn't matter anyone willing to bicker over such a topic couldn't be any better off than he.

Then a whistle, a loud one which drew The Beggar's attention to the canopy, either it was an obnoxious bird or someone was trying to get his or their attention. The whistle apparently brought the bickering to a stop though it also made the men alert. Now of course when one of them asked the person that whistled to come into the open the beggar could not help but sigh. He was the only person obviously around at this point and he really didn't want to be mistaken for the whistler and by not responding get assaulted just for not responding.

"If you can find a place to be considered open in this rat's nest I would be glad to get in it!" yelled the beggar in response, taking a moment to dim his own flame and look in the direction which the yelling had come from. He saw a dim glow through the low hanging tree branches and figured that was where one of the men were and that he was a mage. Now there was a obvious issue, if the man was indeed as ill tempered as he sounded he might just try and attack him without proper reason, thus as The Beggar made his way towards the light he extinguished his own flame completely before starting to gather energy for a back up spell in case this man was indeed hostile.

((No more? aw.))

Xanthe smiled, ever so slightly as the gentlemen stopped arguing, and shifted in position, but the smile fell entirely as another person stepped from the shadows to gather their attention.

Her eyebrows scrunched together with surprise and irritation as she watched him silently, wondering where the hell he had come from, and why she hadn't heard him before that moment. Ultimately, it didn't make much of a difference. After all, a woman in her position had to treat anyone and everyone as a hostile, regardless of what rock they had climbed out of.

Hawklike, she flicked her gaze back toward the men, eyes narrowing as she watched closely. A light shiver raced down her spine. She didn't like the fact that the second man wasn't at all visible, though even the first was mostly obscured by more boughs and branches than she cared to count. It meant he could have been doing anything. Hell, for all she knew, he could have been behind her and ready to slit her throat in that very instant.

Thought fresh on her mind, she glanced behind her, only to find more boughs and branches. Whatever the location, she needed to draw him out. She could handle herself well enough, she suspected, so long as she could tell the location of all of her adversaries. It wasn't as though hers was all that well hidden.

Letting herself lean forward, she ducked her head under another near bough, and dropped again to the forest floor on hands and knees. Rising slowly, she strode forward slowly, not bothering to mask her footfalls as again the metal around her shifted, bulking against her back, and looping slightly over her waist to hook the small crossbow at her thigh.

"I'm on my way, as well." She stated, not bothering to raise her voice. It wasn't -her- fault if the hostiles couldn't hear well enough to make out what she said over only a few yards of admittedly impeded space.

OCC:I will join using Zaki. Since I happen to be just shy of 1500 I will tell you what I am adding. I kinda wanna see if I like Metallic Alchemy as my second before I get there so this is going to kinda be a test fight for me.

He caries a very large shield and Katana made from Wurtzite boron nitride, basically it is a metal harder than diamond, and it sharpens itself as it is used. Yes it is real. Info if you want it. He carries a pouch Carbon balls on his belt.

As for Abilities he now has level four Earth Alchemy. He also has level four Metallic Alchemy.

I think that is it so I shall post now. If you wonder anything else just ask.

BIC: His deep blue eyes surveyed the surrounding area. How he enjoyed the beauty of the woods and the river. Zaki was walking along side the river, by far the easiest way to travel through the think entanglement this forest made. As he continued he ran into a fallen down tree. He didn't really feel like searching for a way around so he thought about the ground under him and it rising into the air. Just like his thoughts the soil laying beneath his feet picked him up into the air, over the fallen tree, and back onto the bank of the river.

As he continued on his fine hearing picked up the sound of voices. Weird he thought. Not many people in this area of the woods. He slowly crept along the bank, staying close to the trees. Soon he was close enough to hear what they were actually saying. They sounded threatened. Maybe they sensed me. were the first thoughts that came to his mind. As he thought about it though he realized not many people could hear him walking.

Well he was mulling it over he looked up and noticed one of the men disappeared. Right was he was about to look around he heard voices just to the north of where he was at. He stayed put, figuring he would let them leave before he continued. He wasn't sure if they were hostile, but from the mans stance in the clearing, he figured they wouldn't be to friendly to guests.
