"They pop like grapes if you do it right!!" Caithann exclaimed, much like a child would after making some grand scientific discovery. Nothing thrilled the general more than the sickening 'splurch' of a looter's body bursting under the extreme heat he brought to bear.
He often came to these ruins for memories. Memories of fickle things and silly things. He really didn't care for many of them. Caithann would often toy with memories of back in the day, when Asylum was still around. Back when Asylum, Faerie', and Caithann were the biggest group of loudmouthed hooligans ever. Those days were fun. Now it's just work, work and fire.
The memory that drew the Burning Twilight to these ruins was that of the massive air battle that took place. The death of a Leviathan and the ruination of the towers. It was somewhat of a hallowed place to Caithann. The charred wreckage, the bodies that he left. These bodies weren't fresh, oh no. Sometimes while making a circuit and passing this lovely place the General would come across looters. Peasants and pillagers trying to pick up whatever may be salvageable for their own gains.
This was a no-no. This was all Caithann's stuff, and if one thing could be said of the General Skyfire of the Aesir's winged battalions, it's that he doesn't play nice. That includes sharing. In an event of great rarity, the dragonkin's feet touched the scorched earth. The slender man taking slow but long strides over the wreckage to his newest prize. A looter, a lady looter none the less. He had only grazed her with a wanton spell, and he wanted to inspect his handy work.
She lay sprawled out among the rubble, and when the general reached for her arm, she pulled away and squirmed, fearing the worst. But Caithann wasn't a man of carnal pleasure; no, he was a man of art. The entire left half of her face was irreparably scorched, skin charred black and cracking.
He took her chin in one hand and turned her rebelling head to further inspect. And it was then that Caithann gave her the rarest of gifts; a look of adoration. She was beautiful in the eyes of General Skyfire. She may have been pretty before, but now she was gorgeous. She sobbed, but only with her one functioning eye. No doubt she was in excruciating pain from the severe burns covering half of her body.
With a cooing 'shh' the General drew a thumb along her throat, his bladed gauntlet trimming a thin line that began to seep with blood. The woman sputtered and died, such a shame. With her final breath Caithann quickly did away with his lingering moment of affection and regained his composure. A sinister scowl crossed his face and he darted to the sky once again.
There was more art to be done.

At last, Taishar had found the fabled village of peace. Tucked away, serene and the only connection to the outside world was the occasional merchant. He was accepted into the lives of the people that lived there and in turn he helped them with hard labor, fixing roofs, chopping wood. Things that the people were greatful for him doing. He was happy and everyday reminded him of the life he could have had. His happy ending was achieved.
Sadly, for people like Taishar, people who have fought all their lives, this happiness didn't last long. He was only able to rest after the Aesir was gone from the world and Fortinbrass had done that so his reason for fighting was over. The god was dead and could cause no more trouble to the world, however Taishar didn't know that this particular god wouldn't die so easily. He caught word of Caspian's return months after he left Lucian in the port town.
He had to say goodbye to his new home again, to stop it from becoming ruins like his last. He needed to fight again.
Taishar walked for weeks, searching for them. The Zaleran Empire, last he heard, was the main force fighting against the Aesir. They would soon have a new recruit, once he found them. He didn't know his way around this place though, so the best he could do was wander. The merchants pointed him in the right direction but they had other places to go so he went alone into the world half ruled by the evil god.
In the distance he saw the wreckage of something, something big. He wasn't sure what it was but as he came closer he smelled something aweful. The smell of burning flesh.
He ran ahead and stopped at the first body he found. Taishar knelt down and inspected the charred remains and shook his head. Who would do this? His answer came when he saw a being in the sky, it looked like he was making rounds of the ruins. Whatever it was it looked... human but it had wings.
An angel? It might be a minion of The Evil One... He took the two large swords from his sides and left his other sword and shield on his back. Taishar warily and followed the being with his eyes while taking steps out of the corpse of the airship.

"So this is what remains," said Atrox quietly to himself as he sat atop a pile of debris in the mid of the scrap yard that once was known as the psychic tower. He had only recently returned from his journeys to gain power, the result of his efforts resting on the ground beside him. A large battle axe crafted from a metal that had Ben erased from history over the decades since its creation, the weapon was coated in frost and icicle hung from its blade, though when Atrox grasped the weapon he did not feel the bitter cold others would, no the weapon accept him and he accepted the weapon much like the twin swords that were sheathed on his hips.
Though it was odd that this would be the first place he would return to after his journey, the place he was slain and disgraced infront of his men, the place where the Demon General of the Zaleran empire fell. But though what was odder was the fact he would be looking at his own grave in his current form, human. It was odd it seemed after his sacrifice his dues had been paid and he was granted his body again along with his memories though neither brought a smile to his face, he had lost his honor and failed to protect those aboard the Leviathan even though he had succeed at protecting his men to his knowledge. He did not hate the Aesir as a whole because of this, The Female General spared his men and the winged bastard killed the innocents of ascantha as they tried to flee to safety, the earlier was one he would forever remember though the later was one he would avenge at one time.
He sat there quietly for a time, thinking of his past as the General of the Zaleran alchemists and could only grin. He owned those who fell that day one thing and that was a proper memorial, something he would give them the day that Ascnatha was returned to its former glory and wrestled from the grasps of the Aesir. With a wave of his hand hand he shot a ball of fire at a nearby debris pile catching it on fire before slowly the flames spread into the form of a large cross, as this happened Atrox could only smile.
"This will do for now."
((Not my best post but will probably do, you didn't have to wait fen wasn't gonna barge in and try to attack caith right away >.>))

Caithann swooped low and banked to the side. A dangerous maneuver for the speeds he's accustomed to travelling at. Caithann's wings shot out, causing him to jerk upwards right before he collided into the pile of rubble. When the dust cloud settled, the general was hovering in place, and his goggled visage was locked dead on the large man that had set foot on his grounds.
With a mighty beat of his wings, Caithann raised up another few feet and pulled Excruciator from his waist and let the bladed chain sit obediently in his hand, it's excess length coiled around the Twilight's wrist like a steel cobra. The general wasn't going to verbally warn this intruder, nor was he going to do some fancy little fire display at this insult. He was going to sit, and wait, and watch. The reflective lenses of Caithann's goggles flashed angrily in the daylight as he turned his head, a newcomer.
The smell of cinders wafted into the general's nose, drawing his attention to the burning cross like a moth. They would dare defile this land... or could it be that he was helping. An homage to general Skyfire and a pledge of servitude, that was the most logical thing Caithann could process in his wrecked mind. Fire was an absolute, maybe the two had something in common. Perhaps he was here to sacrifice himself... maybe not...
Caithann would find out, through words or lash. But first he would deal with this pointless, lost oaf. His weapons were even drawn... Without a word the dragonkin landed on his perch, a small pillar of debris. He raised his wings over his shoulders to shade himself from the sun, and in doing so perhaps add to his silhouette and size in the eyes of this mortal.

As Caithann suddenly stopped at a pile of debris, Taishar took a few steps back, he didn't want to fight this winged humanoid. He needed to be on his way to find the Zalerans. That came first, even before fighting evil spawn of the so called God Caspian. Fighting out here would get him nothing except for wounded or dead, neither of which would help end the tyrannic reign the Evil One had across half the world.
This man, this thing, was hovering after the dust cleared, looking right at Taishar who then took another step or two back. He too smelt the burning fire but didn't know the source and didn't dare take his eyes off this very real and very possible threat. He began to take a few steps towards the direction he was originally heading through this field of wreckage and scanned Caithann's image. If fighting did occur he wanted to be as ready as he could, that meant knowing as much as he could about the enemy.
He saw the chain. It had blades on it. That was the weapon, one Taishar really didn't have experience fighting. He had been pit up against whips and ropes and normal chains. Those didn't cut, he never experienced a weapon that could kill and restrain so he needed to be careful about that and plan for ways to avoid an attack from such a weapon.
The wings, now spread out, an attempted illusion at making him seem bigger than he was. Good trick but just a simple illusion that a good warrior could see through. The worry there was the options Tai's enemy had to move. Dimensions the warrior could hardly imagine were accessible to this man. Not only that but Taishar saw how fast he could go. There was no chance of running. The choice of whether a fight would happen here was Caithann's alone.

Atrox slowly stood up and stepped down from the debris pile he had been sitting on, grabbing a hold of his axe on his way down then quickly swung the large weapon up and onto his shoulder where it rested as he slowly began to walk towards where he had heard the massive wing beats stop. Those sounds reminded him of something, something he heard during that battle, something that caused the greatest amount of destruction to the civilian ships and because of that he had to see who was out here in this junkyard with him.
As he thought of that man the swords that were sheathed on his hips reacted, one of them released flames that fell to the ground as he walked leaving a small trail of fire to the right of where he walked while the other let off sparks that jumped down his armor to the earth below, Atrox not feeling these elemental reactions though the smile he wore beneath his dark helm said everything, if this was indeed that man he would give the fallen people of Ascantha a taste of revenge today by carving up the bastard's body and feeding his scorched remains to the crows. Yes, Atrox's smile said everything though it was hidden from sight, today the Aesir going to learn that they should have double checked the corpse of the fallen Zaleran general before leaving him to rot on the battlefield.

Caithann's hidden eyes swept from target to target, sizing them up. The large human, male, seemed to falter in his resolve. This is exploitable. He didn't try and run, so that meant the illusion failed. Tucking his wings against his back safely, the general jaunted off the rocks, a confident stride in his step as he uncoiled Excrutiator.
The bladed chain came to life, willed by the motion of Caithann's wrist it began to spin slowly, it's tip becoming an orangish-white hot from an unseen source. He turned his head to see the other figure, lazily raising his ax over his shoulder, "Don't worry, mortal, I'll deal with you in a moment. The passing will come to us all."
Cresting over a small pile of rubble, Caithann locked onto the large human, "Close your eyes, it'll be more pleasant." A small smirk greased across the general's lips.
-
In an orange shockwave, Kaidian appeared over the wreckage. He wasn't nearly as swift as the general himself, but the angelic captain had news. The aesir was feeling for him, so he figured it would be best to give the Twilight some warning that the master's leash was about to be tugged.
'Combat imminent' is what Kaidian could think of, the Aesir moving between targets. Landing a safe distance from his superier, the fiery haired angel held out a leather clad hand, "Lord Twilight! The Aesir is sending! locking ourselves in an engagement would not seem the most prudent option!" The captain called, his blood froze when Caithann turned to respond.
His shoulders raised like an angered feline, Caithann grimmaced, "Then you may go back to Charlemagne's, and tell that nancy Luthe that nobody summons the Burning Twilight."

Taishar took a second to look at the man now walking towards himself and the general when another angel appeared. The conversation didn't mean much to Tai but now he knew for sure that this winged being was with the Aesir. He was in enemy territory, and he guessed, the Zalerans were no where around here.
He held his swords out to his sides and bent his knees a little, letting his body sway from side to side a little. He wanted to be ready for a lash from that chain or a fireball or, well, anything that might come. He didn't want to die, not until he had killed the Dark Lord for good. After that he would have peace. His people, everyone he had come to know in this world and everyone he had left behind in his last, could be at peace. He truly believed this otherwise he would have stayed in his village and lived a life of self satisfaction. Until that time he would never give up on these people and would fight until his last breath to end the tyrannical rule of the Aesir.
Taishar watched, mainly, Caithann though he made sure to position himself to that he could see the other angel as well as the other armed being walking up in his peripheral. He wouldn't die this day, he needed to be sure and needed to be wary.

Atrox had walked slowly across the fields of debris towards what appeared to be a pair of beings, he made no hostile movements of any kind until a third person arrived, an angel. This peaked Atrox's curiosity and made him move slightly faster towards his destination, though when he got close enough to get a good look at the three of them his smile vanished, his stride stopped and his jaw tightened along with his grip on the axe's handle.
"You!" roared Atrox as with his free hand he grasped the hilt of the sword on his right hip before quickly drawing releasing electric sparks into the air as the blade moved until its tip was pointing directly at the fiery headed lizard responsible for the deaths of hundreds if not thousands of innocents. The sword sent sparks into the air around it, those sparks slowly began a ball of electricity that floated at the tip of the weapon's blade feeding of the magic within the weapon. Though filled with rage Atrox didn't immediately attack, taking note that the large man in front of winged bastard had his weapons drawn as if preparing to defend himself, though Atrox's only warning to him was a quick jerk of his head telling the man that he would probably wish to move.

First, there was the petite dark haired lady that randomly appeared amongst them, Atrox pausing his attack yet again to turn and take note of her, something about the woman seemed off, though more became clear when she started spouting of instructions to his target. Atrox growled quietly though the grip he held on his weapons didn't loosen no it tightened and with that the orb of lightning that formed on the tip of his blade grew even larger, then slowly he turned his attention back to Caithann just to see yet another problem.
The large man he had motioned to get out of the way had not got out of the way, no he instead stepped into the path of Atrox's attack, He spoke of dieing, what did the man before him know of dieing? He probably knew nothing he knew not the hatred Atrox felt for the fiery headed lizard that he was now defending, "I gave you your warning, the citizens of Ascantha that fell here will be avenged even if I have to go through you," growled Atrox As he swung his sword downwards, launching the ball of electricity towards the man who stood between him and Caithann, to follow up the swing Atrox quickly sheathed the blade and charged forward, He was gonna make his point he was not gonna be stopped now.
"Scatter," roared Atrox as the orb of electricity neared Taishar the sound of his voice echoing across the debris filled, then reacting to his command the orb suddenly split into four bolts of lightning that weaved around Taishar, two going over his head the others passing him by on his left and right, even if the man blocked one or two the remaining ones were readjusting thier course towards Atrox's orignal target, Caithann.

"Follow?" she inquired, tilting her head though her expression remained the same. "I think you're clearly mistaken Twilight. The Aesir is your god, your patron, and where we differ. For now, The Lady and his plans coincide. You, Twilight, are the odd one out. Your purpose lies with the Aesir yet you do not listen, do not follow. Perhaps it is that you simply see the face and not the being behind it. A pity." Throughout her speech she'd kept her expression blank, though if one had the experience to notice, she had shifted slightly towards a more combat ready stance. Be it the Twilight or from one of the other men, conflict had come and would not be held back.
"Scatter!"
Yume shifted as she felt the release of a spell, taking the necessary steps to clear herself out of the path of the oncoming lightning spell. Foolish, pitiful creatures, fighting in vain for a goal they themselves felt they believed in. The Twilight desired conflict, thrived off it, for he was one that brought fire and ash to color the skies. End of all things. It was amusing, dangerous, and completely unrestrained, but that was what made the Twilight so suited to his tasks. Much like a brute was used for force and not for wit, the Twilight had his place in the Aesir's ranks. Go on Twilight, have your fun, for in the end you are still leashed by the one who controls your fate.
Dog of war indeed.

As he heard the man yell for the orb to scatter, Caithann shot forward towards Yume. Before he actually collided with her, however, his form distorted and flickered away. He reappeared several hundred feet behind the area, the ring grafted to the knuckle of his gauntlet teleporting the General backwards rather than forwards.
Now he was behind them and the electricity that threatened him, in the air he liked to think was his home turf. General Skyfire, the Burning Twilight was the aeronautical expert of the five. The thought of scuffling on the ground in hand to hand disgusted the Half-dragon; it was beneath him.
Caithann cracked the chain forward, the bladed implement rolling and snapping in the middle of the air like a whip. From that distance nothing was in direct threat of being hit with the chain itself, but from where the volatile tip hit open air, the orange-hot energies stored inside it erupted.
A cascade of flame, rather than a direct explosion burst from the weapon, sending down waves of shrapnel like flames down into the battlefield where the three stood. The two humans, Yume, he didn't care. If the Aesir's little woman was worth her shit she'd find a way out of danger.
He'd burn his own men if he had to. The Aesir didn't choose Caithann for this because he was a good leader, he chose Caithann because the half-dragon was an effective killing machine; regardless of who was being killed.

((OOC: I think Lucian forgot about this topic, sorry for the delay))
Atrox slowly came to and began to look around for his target the annoying lizard having up and vanished before Atrox's bolts hit home. Though it was odd, Atrox could not locate the man on the ground with him, had he fled? No, Atrox shook his head knowing that even though the lizard was a coward he doubted that the man would let him get away with attacking him. Then it hit him, During the battle Atrox had seen lizard in previously the man was never on the ground always fighting in the sky tearing apart the airships thus why did Atrox think that the cowardly lizard would fight him on the ground. His eyes turning the the sky he saw nothing before him, no signs of The Lizard, though by the time Atrox to note of this it was too late.
The first wave of flames hit him square in the back causing the warrior to stumble forwards out of surprise though before the flames caused any damage they died down and vanished, the sword on his right hip glowing a bright red as it granted its master immunity to the touch of the lames though the heat of the flames could not be stopped. Reacting as quickly as he could Atrox slapped his left hand on his chest and began to channel his own magical energies.
"Freeze," said Atrox and upon command ice quickly began to cover his armor, the ice barrier was not complete before the next wave of flames hit him, though it was complete enough to do what he wished it to do, upon contact with the flames the ice shattered and melted just the be replaced by another layer of ice as Atrox continued to channel his spell. The coldness of the ice and water layering his armor defeated the heat of the attacks while his sword continued to grant its power to Atrox. As the final bit of flames struck Atrox stood up straight once again and turned around, the ice that had layered his body slowly began to melt and chip away as his moved from the position had frozen himself in. He then looked up into the sky at his foe and grinned, yes grinned widely at the lizard from beneath the shadows of his helm for he knew that this was going to be a very amusing fight.
"Is that all you are capable of?"

((OOC: So yeah, kinda forgot this thread was going on >.>;; apologies.))
A shift in her stance was the only indicator that Yume was aware of the oncoming flames. She'd learned awhile back that the Twilight was hardly picky about who he burned, throwing fire around like a child and torching everything to ash. As such, her close proximity to the Twilight's prey meant she'd be caught in the crossfire. A small click indicated she'd freed her blade and with an accuracy and speed born of long hours of training she simply began redirecting the flaming projectiles. Any other form of assault, beyond the seeming cluster bomb of fire and she'd have had to move.
One hand in motion, the other steadying her umbrella, she simple waited out the assault, slashing each projectile as it came near and letting the enchantments on her blade do their work. Each impact resulted in a small flare of light, the runes on her blade glittering a bright rainbow of colors on the polished steel.
Yume frowned, the first real expression she displayed since arriving at the location. She certainly knew of the Twilight's combat tactics, his own preference in direct contrast to hers, but the fact his prey was able to survive the initial exchange as much as they had meant he'd probably play around more. As much as it hardly was of any concern to her, the simple matter was she didn't wish to spend more time than necessary waiting for the twilight to accept his recall.
Having weathered out the assault, she returned her blade to its place in her umbrella, a small click indicating the blade was secure in its place. Yume let out a long breath and simply waited, idly wondering where the Fire Bringer had gone.

Caithann flicked his wrist, calling the cobra-like chain to his wrist again. With his free hand he tightened the coil around his gauntlet, the bladed links scraping against the plated glove. Quickly sweeping his eyes over the area, he counted his foes. One, two, three; odds against. His initial burst made no impact on the battle, which probably pissed him off more than anything.
Yume was alive, that was saddening, but it gave him an option. With the enemies on foot in close proximity to eachother, the Twilight twisted and turned around to face the general direction of Charlmagne's. The Aesir's whore would have her wish; he would return to the Aesir for his own sake, not hers.
Should the fools continue to remain aggressive, Caithann was positive Yume would clean his mess.
With a sonic boom, Caithann shot off towards Charlmagne's Sky to return to Luthe and the Aesir. whichever form it desired to take.

"Bastard," growled Atrox as he lifted his axe up and rested it just below his shoulder before raising his left hand and then channeling his energies summoned a small orb of fire that hovered in front of his open palm. Though before he even had a chance to launch his attack the target was long gone, leaving him with the pale beauty and the giant. Atrox growled quietly and clenched his left hand into a fist dismissing the orb before turning his head to look at Yume for but a moment, he didn't know her though it was obvious she was aligned with the Aesir due to how easily she talked with the lizard, though ordered might of been a better word.
With a deep breath Atrox placed his axe back into its position on his back, the head of the weapon holding onto a thick leather strap that was interwoven with his armor, the leather obviously worn by the weight of the axe combined with the axe's blade which rested on the leather along with the fact that upon contact with the axe the leather became coated in a thin layer of ice.
"I'll be leaving if you have no qualms madam," said Atrox as he turned his back on Yume and started to walk towards the city once known as Ascantha, taking up an acquaintances offer about visiting the city once under her protection. Though the pale woman was with the Aesir he had no qualms with her for she was not at the battle that took place here nor had he seen her committed the atrocities that the lizard had committed.
