The war changed me mentally and physically, for the better I'm rather unsure. I look much like I did before in my days of innocence, the same frame and the same build. Though my face was drastically changed due to the countless number of disfiguring scars I've received. All of which are tokens from the battle on Yevela Flats as proof as my tenacity. The deepest of them crossed over my right eye, a horrendous gash that seemed to stretched out like greedy crows feet.

I've grown stubble, my once baby faced appearance is only a memory. Instead I fashion a well trimmed strap framing my chin. My eyes of course remain their dull brown color, though often with a hint of mischief in them. My hair color also remained the same, that's oddly not so surprising. Though I now have a Caesar haircut, suited for a business man like myself. I have a distinct metallic and sulfuric smell due to my trade as a weapons dealer. Even hard scrubbing doesn't seem to rid myself of it.  I have strengthened myself to the point were my muscles show. I'm not that wimpy country hick anymore.  Though I still keep my wits up.

Secondary:Alchemist

Primary:Warrior
QUOTE
* Combat post boost - In combat warriors count as being double their normal post count in terms of melee prowess and skill. A Warrior with 1000 posts would be as skillful and powerful in combat as a non-Warrior with 2000 posts. A more in depth description of this melee scaling idea can be found in the FAQ and Guide.

* Cheaper Weapons - For warriors and warriors only, weapons will be at half the cost, this allows warriors to gain stronger weapons in order to have an edge over their enemies.

* Advanced Dual Wield - Warriors and warriors only gain the ability to use any weapon at all with another one. For example, you may use a Rune Axe with a Valkyrie Spear. In essence, the ADW allows you to use the heaviest weapons with other weapons. This skill is available in the DF Equipment Center.

* Improved Customization - Warriors of any post count may obtain a Custom Weapon outside of the normal post count requirement. Warriors, unlike other classes, can also skin weapons of one type into another (normally a sword can only be customized into another sword, an axe into a fancier axe, and so on).
QUOTE

Guard Crusher:  The Warrior's weapon attacks can break through all but the strongest defensive barriers in a single swing.  This includes magic-dampening and physical-dampening barriers, but does not include barriers that are considered Super Spells/Skills.

Loner:  Your Warrior is an expert at fighting alone.  When your Warrior has no allies (NPC or player) in the topic, he/she gains a 3x post bonus in terms of melee prowess when fighting.

Haggler:  Your Warrior knows the perks and joys of bargaining, and receives a -1 Green Token cost from any traits or items he/she purchases from the Token Reward Center, down to a minimum of 1 Green Token.

Shadow:  Your weapon is now shadowy! It takes on a very transparent dark hue that makes it difficult to see, and nigh impossible to locate at night.

Glue Bomb:  The warrior carries pellets which contain a sticky glue that hardens quickly when exposed to air.  Glue pellets burst on impact.  The glue can be dissolved by water, however contact with fire has toxic and smokey results.

Nerve Strike:  The Warrior strikes a nerve in an enemy that disables a limb for two posts.  The Warrior must make physical contact with the limb to disable it.

Expel Aura: Warriors can expel evil auras around them to blow away all negative conditions that afflict them. Has a three post cooldown.

Watersilver Net: An unbreakable 10x10 ft. loose-mesh net. This item can't be manipulated by magic or alchemy, or taken apart or destroyed.

Acclimation- Undecided

Diffusion Wave:  The Warrior uses his/her weapon to throw a wave of energy along the ground.  This wave of energy can split into a maximum of five waves of energy at the will of the user.  It is considered non-elemental and non-magical, but can be stopped by an equally powerful counter-force.
QUOTE
Prestige - Rogue
QUOTE
  • Camouflage:  Through Extensive training the Ranger can virtually turn themselves invisible in broad daylight.  There is a small phasing effect when they turn invisible, and any offensive action will break the invisibility.

  • Untraceable:  By training your mind and body you've become harder to track.  This will negate the effects of skills like Detect or other magical and druidic detection, and prevents you from being tracked by scent or sound if you don't want to be.

  • Slip:  The Rogue can become temporarily Ethereal, per the token trait rules, and shift through solid objects.  This affect can happen once per post, but only lasts a brief moment.

  • Death Becomes You:  Rogues can cover their weapons in a poison that sickens anyone infected with it over time, slowly killing them.  This poison is especially toxic, and prevents the body from healing normally or by magic until it has been cleaned by Esuna.

Mechanical Arrows-  Heedless of their original use Hemus couldn't help but tinker with the arrows design as well as make a few of his own.  The majority of Hemus's arrows are set up to be more then they seem with three settings to deliver their surprises.  By Timer, on Impact and Delay.  A small difference with drastic results.  He uses his intelligence and past knowledge of Alchemy to create new inventions to give him an edge on other warriors that are stronger or faster then him.

Merchants Overcoat-  Its dusty and there pockets there that seem to make no sense at all.  So many damn pockets... I mean really why are some of them upside down? It holds a lot of things, gold, picks, keys, odds and ends.  But this coat is also for great escapes.  Also psychic attacks seem to do less damage to those that wear it.
(Teleport once per topic, 1/2 from Psychic attacks while wearing it.)

this is the set up... look familiar? I'll let you post first since your person is in rage mode

[City]
The cobblestone streets were empty and void of such life during the night time. Save only the rowdy bars and the occasional Inn, the brick and stone buildings were dim and only illuminated by the occasional lampfire posts. The moonlight reflected off the surface of the sea to the ports and docks, the lull of the ocean breaking what could be an eerie silence. Yet the night was still young and two souls were walking amongst the sleeping city.

Hehehe, that was fun. Who shall we kill next?

"Does it matter? They are all guilty. They are in need of death. They all must die. They are guilty." Her voice called in the darkness as she stared at the body in front of her.

It was a man, he was in his twenties. Short brown hair that curled slightly at the edges. He was thin, but tall. Wearing an all black trench coat with a black cowboy hat. His pants were also black and he had on black boots with shiny silver spurs. She looked at this face, his eyes wide open. They were brown, a beautiful brown though. His face was slender and cut and he had a goatee that was kept clean and neat. His body was mangled. Blood was everywhere. His midsection was torn apart and his entrials hanging out.

Caressing his face with one of her claw like hands that extended from her elongated arms, blood covering her, she almost felt bad. He was handsome indeed, but he had to die. Had to be punished for everything he had done. Everything that he will do. Everything he wanted to do. It was the only.

"Such a pity. He was quite attractive."

Do not be fooled by looks dear. You know that looks can deceive more than anything else. We must not be led into temptation by such. We must stay the course and cleanse this world. You know we must!

The voice in her head was right. She had a job to do. She had to clean this world of the scum, of everything. Everything that could do arm to anyone, especially her. She would not let them get away with anything. There was no such thing as innocent. Everyone commited a crime and everyone should be punished.

Death was the only way. It was the beginning that so many begged for but searched in all the wrong places. They chose to move, or marry, or do something that involved them making a change in their life. It never mattered. Overall they accomplished nothing. They did nothing different, only their minds told them they didi. They were led by illusions of change and therefore they were guilty.

"You are right. We must not stray away from what we are meant to do. We must stay here and clean this world. They must die."

She began to float away from the body. Her mind numb and cold. The darkness from the night fed her. It kept her warm and she felt comforted in it. It was relaxing. The darkness represented her, it was part of her.

As she made her way down the street, she heard of noise. Somebody was with them. Probably a drunk making his way from the tavern.

Oooh, here comes another one. Shall we play with him?

"We shall."

Her voice was cold as it pierced the air. She stop where she was, waiting for the person to emerge from the alleyway that was near her. Floating there just a foot or less above the ground. Her arms at her sides. She was ready. They would die, they all would die.

Hemus had just sealed a deal on a shipment of weapons over a drink or two at the Fishgutz bar so he was feeling rather good about everything. Especially the fact that Hemus was actually quite buzzed. So buzzed that he needed to do a double take of the floating woman with very long fingernails. Now what does one do when drunk and faced with a beautiful abomination? Run. Hemus turned tail and ran back into the alleyway. If she continued to hunt him he of course would need to fight back but until then running was the best option.

[lets start this off]

She sighed. Did he really just run from her? One should take their death with pride. They should admit their guilt and be willing to pay for it. Such a shame when one is in denial of their own fate. She felt sorry for him, poor thing would make this death a painful one, but if it was needed she would do so. She would give him his death, no matter the cost.

If we must him, we shall. No one escapes. You know what we must do. We must give them their fate. We must cleanse this world.

A silent nod and she began making her way into the edge of the alleyway. It was dark, but there would be litter around from the filth of the world. Too lazy to discard their remains other than to just throw them out in the streets. To dirty the world not only with blood and guilt, but to dirty it with their material bullshit. She would not have it. This world would be clean once again.

She hovered there in front of the entrance way. Looking into the darkness. She would force him out. It would be the only way. While his death was her job, she would not be a fool.

"Dear friend, you must not run from your fate. Come to me and embrace it. Come to me and embrace your death. A swift death is a noble one isn't it. Among your kind?"

Crunching broke the silence after she spoke, the trash around the alleyway began to move. Closing around the man who was in the alleyway. He would not be able to escape that easily. Sure he would avoid the trash, but he would have to come back to her. Face her. Take his death.

"Come now, let us not make a mess." With that a shrill laugh of two persons ripped through the air. The madness had come to life.

The woman gave chase to Hemus, a rather slow floating chase but a chase none the less. She seemed to wait at the entrance to the alleyway and began to talk. Perhaps the blood covered dame was friendly and just wanted to have a little chat.

"Dear friend, you must not run from your fate. Come to me and embrace it. Come to me and embrace your death. A swift death is a noble one isn't it. Among your kind?"

Or not... Hemus least slowed down to listen to her speech. Even though it was quite well, ridiculous. She spoke of a cowardly death sentence, in his past life he might have very well taken it. Ah but it seemed to be just a distraction. Trash began to enclose the parallel exit to his escape and threatened to crush him if he didn't move soon.

"Heh? my fate? sorry but I've been fighting that for years." Hemus said as he notched an arrow and fired at the woman. It closed in on her accurately but stopped short as it exploded into a fiery and smoke ridden explosion. Hemus watched the after math from the top of a building. He had been nimble quick, and well turned into the wind for quick and speedy travel. Perching himself on the roof he tried to make out where the creature was. After all half the part of fleeing is knowing what you are running from right?

The explosion went off in front her. She merely laughed at it. How pathetic. Was she supposed to be scared. Was she supposed to retract herself? Not likely. Oh well, his death would be slow and painful if need be, but she was willing to accommodate him either way.

The trash in the alleyway ceased moving and she had heard a whoosh sound before the explosion. He was still there, but where? She floated away from the alleyway and back down the street. She would find him, he would die.

I grow tired of these kind of games. People are weak! They must die!! They believe they are too good for death? HA! Death takes all, without question or prejudice. Cowards. Ah well, let us find him. His death will taste good.

"I agree with you, but let us not be too hasty. We do not want to be off our guard while he is unseen. We must protect ourselves."

From the rooftop Hemus watched Jenova, she seemed to be searching for him. He sighed at this. He didn't know who this woman/creature/abomination was but she seemed intent on killing him. Hemus plucked an arrow this time being more selective. It was an odd looking one, it had a rounded top that seemed less then leathal. Notching it he took a step to the edge of the building and took aim then released.

The Arrow sailed through the air arching just above her as it once again exploded this time releasing a net. Hemus watched as he prepared another arrow, it was time for him to simply watch her reaction to the situation. She would soon know his location, so how would she deal with it?

She heard the arrow explode overhead and immediately turned around to see him perched on a rooftop. She began to float toward him, as she did so a something dropped on her. She closed her eyes as it pinned her to the ground. Opening her eyes she realized that she was trapped under a net. Her body was stuck in it. She had to do something to get out, something to free herself. She was still protected, but for how long. Did this net drain power, she began to get frantic.

Stay calm, we can get out of here. I have a plan...

Darkness shrouded the area around her, stopping at the ends of the street where the light posts where. Everything was pitch black, she knew that the man would not be able to see anything now that it was completely dark as such.

A faint popping noise sound and then darkness began to fade. It would take some time for it be completely gone, but if one got close enough to whatever they wanted to see, they could.

A woman could be heard screaming. She was frantic, she needed help. "Help me please! Where is the light! I can't see anything, what is going on!" She screamed again. Sobbing could be heard from her direction. She was scared, she didn't know what was going on. "Help me please!"

The net was a success it pinned down is target in the exact manner it was supposed to. Which was actually a refreshing experience for Hemus, most things tended to dodge with an unholy amount of nimble footed quickness. He began to target the downed foe only to find a pitch blackness envelop it. He smirked, he already knew its location and had an arrow notched and aimed. It was going to die soon.

Or would it be that easy? Hemus fumbled his shot at the sudden screaming of a woman. The arrow traveled not even near where the creatures last known location was exploding harmlessly somewhere upon impact. He cussed with a sharp "Fuck! goddamn-stupid ass-whore-bitch!" as he danced around shaking out his hand. Apparently he accidently caught the tips of his fingers to close to the string upon release. There was no visible wound and luckily they weren't skinned but they were numb. In the background there was more frantic screams for help from a woman. Injured fingers suckled in his mouth Hemus tried to look at the source of the voice. It was a different voice from the creature that stalked him, but there were things that could change and throw their voice on whims. Putting it lightly he was very skeptical.

Gazing back down at the black mass he left, to least see what the disturbance was about. In a shimmer of white wind Hemus dissapeared only to reappear down the street still ontop of roofs, there wasn't a reason to refuse a good vantage point after all. And he beheld what he saw...

The woman screamed once again. "Please is anyone out there! PLEASE!" She was crying harder than ever. She was terrified, terrified of the night. A shroud of darkness was known to not be natural and she wasn't ready to die, not this way at least. Whimpering she called out again in the blackness of the night.

"Please, someone help me...Please!" She wrapped her arms around herself to keep warm. The darkness brought about an unsavory coldness with it. "Keep me safe." She cried, there was nothing else to do at this point but cry.

Meanwhile, under the net a voice called out in the darkness that still covered the area. "You think you have me defeated so easily with your trap? Ha, not likely." The voice laughed and the shrill sound pierced the night sky like fingers on a chalkboard. "Come get me fool, or are you too weak to face me close up?"

The girl screamed at the voice. "Who is that! AAAHHH! What is going on? HELP ME!" Twin voices rang out in rage. "SHUT UP WOMAN, you are next to die!" The laugh came again. Until he got close enough, she wouldn't be able to move from the net.

He will come, you know he will come. He like all the others will want to see you, see what you look like. See what we are. Then we strike, as we have always done. Strike them quickly and quietly. Though this one must savor his death. We will let him have a prolonged death. Watch the life leave his eyes. Ah, it will be refreshing.

Another blob of darkness and the screams of a terrified woman was all Hemus could divulge from the scene. He sighed, this smelled to be a trap... Or at least a very convenient disturbance. Gliding down into the blob Hemus drew a blade and entered it calling out to to woman "Hello? can you hear me?" he asked squinting. It was so black in here, he pulled out a small cylindrical device and cracked the top giving off a bright red glow as it burned.

[Hemus is in the blob, and is suspicious]

A friendly voice! The woman looked up from her lap and sniffled. "Yes! I CAN HEAR YOU!" She was getting frantic, she wanted out of this place. Out of here. Away from all this horrible darkness and evil that was brought about. What had she been doing? Strolling along, making her way home for the night was all! Sure she probably shouldn't have been out this late, but did that mean that everything that could gone SHOULD go wrong!

She continued to sit against the building. It would easier for the man to find her there than if she moved around out in the darkness. She thought about where she came from, what direction did she enter the street. She thought but her mind was racing. She had to calm down if she wanted to get out of here.

"I'm a against a building. I'm not sure what direction. If I call to you can you follow my voice?" Her voice was crackled though and it might be hard for him to hear here. She hoped that he could get to her soon, she was scared. Death felt like it was right around the corner.

A laugh came from the direction of the net. Laughter that was a chilling as wind on a mountain. It pierced the ears like a knife and was surely the sign of someone gone mad. The voice never said anything, just laughed and laughed.

The woman was afraid of what was to come next.

Holding out the flare Hemus tried his best to follow the voice, resting a hand against a building with his other hand. The pitch blackness swallowed the flares light, leaving it only slightly better then searching in the dark. Still he could hear her, only the peals of laughter slightly disturbed him... Why was the creature laughing despite being trapped under a net... was it mad? or did it have a plan. Hemus finally made it to her. The girl had a bronze skin and only seemd to match her flowing brown hair. Her low cut a black dress realed much, it made Hemus blush slightly. On her back were a pair of white wings, so she was an angel as well?

He threw the flare to her feet. "How about we get you out of here?" he asked offering her a hand while he tucked a blade back into a hidden sheath. Trying his best not to alarm her. "I'm sorry to get you involved but there is a creature trying to kill me, why I am unsure..." he said.

The woman wiped her eyes upon seeing the man. She was relieved to see him. He mentioned the creature that she had heard. It was trying to kill him? Why?

He extended his hand to her and she grasped it, pulling herself upright. As she did so the darkness faded away completely. She smiled at him. As she held on for longer than he probably would have liked. Once the darkness was completely gone, moonlight light up the street and the lamppost light was shared among the few that surrounded the area.

"I thank you..." Her voice was calm, but had an odd tone to it. She looked at him and smiled. The smile was not the one of an innocent woman trying to be saved. No, it was one of clever and evil mind. "....for making this easier for me than I expected."

She pointed over to the cage where the laughed came from. The creature was still there laughing and withering beneath it. The woman snapped her fingers and it disappeared. Nothing was under the cage anymore and the woman standing in front of him gave him a blank stare.

"Are you that easily duped? Such a shame. I would have thought you to be more careful. Men are too easily predicted though I suppose. Oh well, I guess that's what happens when you have beauty you can exploit. A fact that I could really careless for, but it's useful nonetheless."

She stepped back from him and in a cloud of dust the beautiful with bronze skin, brown hair and white wings turned into the creature that had been chasing him. The legged melded together and the arms extending longer than they should. Her nail like daggers and just as sharp. Her hair pointing outward, no longer flowing.

"Now, I will show you pain and let your death be a slow one. I hope you are ready. Just sit back and relax while I prepare." Her voice echoed like that of two persons, but again she was alone with the man. She brought her arms down in a circle-like pattern, crossing her hands over one another. Her head bowed.

She knew that the man would feel his weakness kick it at any moment. Poor thing, he should have been more careful.

(Drain Essence on contact. The thing under the cage was a mimic hence no attacks from it. I shifted into my original form (the woman). Preparing Pain)

She stepped back from Hemus and transformed as the man snickered. It was odd, but it seemed she hadn't noticed yet the film that was on her arm and hand. It would react rather quickly once it began to seep in. A numbing agent Hemus had developed in his spare time.

"Now, I will show you pain and let your death be a slow one. I hope you are ready. Just sit back and relax while I prepare."

Her voice echoed like that of two persons, it sure was creepy how she managed that. Hemus decided that playing the weak man was no longer amusing. Still he did not expect that the woman was her, perhaps a woman under her thrall but not this. Sighing he stood up and shrugged off the effects of her spell with a cleansing Aura. Smile as she soon would begin to realize that her farce had suddenly backfired, the hand she had touched him with was no longer under her control and a arrow was pointed in her general dirrection. And with that Hemus fired.

[Paralyzing touch, Expel Aura, normal arrow attack.]

The arrow for her, aimed to hit her without reason or cause. She could feel the smile coming from his face. He thought he had her all figured out. He thought he could beat her, maybe he could but she wouldn't go down without taking him with her.

She looked up at him, extending her arms skyward, she wouldn't wait anymore, no. The time was now or never and she was going to give him his fate. He would meet death and embrace.

"Fool, your race tries too hard and in the end you will all be consumed by the darkness. This world will be cleansed."

With a shrill laugh she released a whirlwind of power around herself. The arrow was sucked in just as it made it's way to her, unfortunately striking her hand as it moved around. It took everything in it's path. The more it took in, the more powerful it got. She would destroy this world and everything in it one way or another. She was almost saddened that it had to be this way, but he left her no choice.

The laughing continued at the raging wind grew in power. She was excited for his death, she hoped he would be as well.

"Fool, your race tries too hard and in the end you will all be consumed by the darkness. This world will be cleansed."

Bold words, the woman seemed to be preparing somthing, her hands to the sky suddenly began whipping black energy around herself. Hemus fired, the arrow was caught up in the storm but still managed to find its target. It struck her, at least that was a good sign. But the massive storm was quite foreboding. The wind picked up and threatened to pull Hemus inside of the storm. Parts the the buildings began to break off and were sucked into the destructive storm. It grew large and large, Hemus notched another arrow and fired only to find it disintegrated the instant it enter the storm.

It seemed it wasn't going to be that easy hurt her at the moment. "Well then..." Hemus said not losing his confidence. He turned invisible to the naked eye and slipped into the perpendicular home for shelter. His body snapped out of its ethereal consistency after clearing the wall. He ran through it and smash through a window. It seemed time to run again, rethink a plan.

[a bit of the past and present, posted. Camo to dissapear and Slip to travel through the buildings solid wall. Currently running away for this post, next post I'll use the counter.]

The whirlwind continued to surge. The debris making it hard to see her. She was growing tired of his games at this point. He acted so tough, but she presented him with a challenge, he ran.

Pathetic! Typical humans. They are all the same. They run from a real battle. They are afraid to get their hands dirty. No matter dear, we will have him. He will be ours.

A grin spread across her face. Yes, she was right they would have him. He would not escape her. He would die like he was supposed to. He had no reason to live. No one did. This world did not deserve mercy or even the attempt of mercy. They would all be sentenced to death without any remorse. Death was the only way...

"You run. But why? Why delay the inevitable. Why delay was has been chosen for you? You coward now behind buildings. Come and face me. Accept my challenge if you find that death is too good for you."

Her echoing voice reached over the sound of whirlwind that was around her. She would force him out. This game was getting old and she would not allow it to continue.

Shards of glass scattered in the air around Hemus as he broke out of the unnamed residency. He was back onto the streets, a whole building seperated the two from each other. The Malestorm still building its destructive furry gathering more and more by the second. Hemus turned into wind and traveled away from the destructive storm landing on a building that had a clear line of sight. Hemus's boddy raveled back into existance starting with his feet and up to his arms. Inside of his hand was his bow with four arrows notched onto it at once. He began to pull back but kept them from letting loose.

"You run. But why? Why delay the inevitable. Why delay was has been chosen for you? You coward now behind buildings. Come and face me. Accept my challenge if you find that death is too good for you."

Typical woman, always wanting a man to acknowledge something. Hemus focused on his shot, each of the arrow began to glow with thin line of energy. Releasing them the arrows sailed through the air, each of them embedding themselves into the ground. More importantly was the manner they landed, each in a parallel corner around the storm. From the points of impact wave of energy began to enclose the storm, ment to distrub the flow only to find that they did nothing more then fuel the spell.

Hemus profusly cussed as he notched another arrow. Apparently the spell disintegrated all matter or energy, even trying to flesh out a counter would prove to be in vain. Instead he attempted to just lob in as many arrows as he could to attract the womans attention while he formulated a better plan of action.

[Hemus tried to us a four point Diffusion wave to destroy Malestorm, after talking with Eric it proves to be futile. As Malestorm is basically a magic matter disintegrating whirlwind. anyway lobbing arrows into it in vain attempts to strike her. idk about 7 or so, will probably defiantly keep running and trying to forma counter]

She watched the arrows come towards her and disintegrate as soon as they made contact with the whirlwind. She was growing tired of his futile attempts and decided that she would have to try another approach.

The whirlwind stopped. Everything was back to normal, but everything around her was gone. Buildings, objects, everything. The inhabitants of the area know not what hit them and those within the surrounding area were naught but ash now. Nothing but ash. It fell from the air as the whirlwind stopped. The ash settled at her tail base on the ground. She was angry.

Her body was mangled at this point. The arrow that struck her had been destroyed and all that was left was a hole in her hand that blood dripped from. She didn't seem to notice or care that it was doing so. Bits of flesh were gone from around various places on her body. The use of the whirlwind had drawn on her own life force and she was slowly killing herself.

Did it matter to her though? Not really. She would be sure to take this man with her, one way or the other.

We must be careful, otherwise this one will take our lives with his own. We are on a mission. We must not fail.

"I care not to hear what you have to say! This one will die one way or the other!" Her echoing voice roared through the area. She was angry, yes very angry. She wanted him dead and she would have it.

People from farther reaches of the town were coming outside to see the destruction of their home. People were screaming and she looked around at them. "More lives to be taken. I will enjoy killing you all!"

With that she released a massive spell. The ground began to shake, as if there were giant beasts inside the ground attempting to break the surface. As it did so, ooze emerged onto the ground and hissed loudly. It spread out and the people of the town ran. She would kill them all, especially this man.

As she did so, more bits of flesh withered away on her. Her body began to bleed and red ran down her, forming a pool under her. She knew she was hurt, but she would continue on. She would kill him. She would make sure he died!

((Devastation just used. It's got a 50 foot radius, the tremors should crumble the building you are on allowing you to hit the ground if you are in range. Unholy armor gone.))

[short im tired zzz]

Having the majority of his arrows Hemus had lobbed off turn into less then dust was very disheartening to say the least. Still as the Malestrom raged the creatures life force was beginning to wane. That was at least the good news in this very bleak outlook. Ah but then it stopped, but that was as much of the goodnews to it.

The thing argued with itself which only made the engineer arch a brow to the thing. He couldn't really care less about its inner strife but its attacks on him made rather no sense. He could see that there was damage to its body, how much from him was questionable.

The streets began to rumble and shake, people began to flee from their houses, the whole world was panicking. Well perhaps not the whole world, just this town. The building Hemus was perched on began to crack and crumble at the sides crashing into the poison filled streets. Only Hemus hadn't fallen with the building but rather perched himself on a platform of solid air. Drawing an arrow from his pouch he aimed it at Jenova flicking the dial a few strokes and then fired. I sailed at the creatures feet, set to burst on impact.

[gluebomb, Hemus is flying/levitating/standing/ with air alchemy.]

((Sorry this too so long, been busy with my job and family.))

The blast caught her off guard. He was able to avoid her attack in such a way that she did not understand. Her mind was confused, this was not how it was supposed to end. No, she was supposed to kill him. Cleanse this world. She had to. She must. It was her purpose in life, it was the only way.

Blood dripped from her body and now her flesh singed. The little clothing that existed on her body was gone. She floated there, covered in blood and burned. Her body completely red and yet an evil grin could be seen on her face. She would not let this happen.

No we can not! We must not! We must do something! Do not be stupid and think that you can still win this one! We must...

"SHUT UP! You think I know not what the stakes are? You think I do not know what we can lose in this? You think me a fool? Maybe I should show you a fool!"

Her voiced echoed and raged in the night. There was no one around her and yet it would be obvious that her conflict rested only within her. Was she mad? Maybe, and more so then not. She could not recall her sanity, not anymore. Everything that she was before this was lost. The evil within her sought to keep those memories hidden from her. Leaving her only with pain and hatred. This was all she knew and all she would be.

Do not threaten me! I am not afraid of you. Without me you would be nothing! You WERE nothing! Let me show you!

Her eyes went dark and pain flooded her mind. She raised her clawed hands to head and began to scream. The scream was shrill and mind piercing. It brought a chill to the air around and could even drive someone mad. She screamed out into the night shaking her head.

Yes, you see don't you! Here some more! Remember her?

"Jahiera!!!!!" Her eyes only saw her friend beginning torn apart by the vicious creatures that had captured her. Tears began to flood down her face as she screamed and wailed. Her mind was breaking and everything that she knew was coming down to her. Coming to destroy her.

Do not think you are above me! I control you, I am what made you. Do not think I will let you go so easily. Now, do you wish to have the pain cease?

A small nod escaped her and the pain ceased. The area around her flooded into view and she felt more weak than ever. She knew what she had to do. At least for now. She would have to come to terms with the evil that was her. She would need to learn to control it and realize how to use it.

Yes. That would be the way. Learning to use her power to keep her safe and to kill. She would not make this mistake again.

"Consider this your lucky day my friend. This world needs me and therefore my time here is done...for now. We shall meet again though, I assure you. And then, you won't be so lucky."

And shrill laugh escaped her and a dark portal opened. Cold air rushed from it and the stench of evil and decay seemed endless. Laughing in her own madness she backed into the portal and was gone.

Destruction lay in her wake as she left. The town before her would never be the same. And she would be sure it never was. She would be back for it. She would finish her job, but next time, there would be no mistakes.

((Kind of ending it since we are both busy. I'm game for another round when you and i are more free. PM with questions))
