The surface of the portal to the shadow realm was as smooth as a mirror. Suddenly the smooth surface began to ripple as a lone figure stepped through the portal and was wrapped in a rather plain looking cloak. The tattered edges of said cloak seemed to blow in a almost nonexistent wind as the figure paused surveying the surroundings. As the cloak was blown back it revealed gunmetal grey plate boots with full greaves that went all the way to the knees.

"To think all of the pieces that had been laid in the shadow realm began to be pulled once I came into Redemption. All the hard work and effort of that man laid bare and destroying itself." The figure shook it's head before taking a few more steps away from the portal. "This part of me has slept for far to long and as such the damage that has been done is...to far gone to be salvageable by myself. At least he thought well enough to attempt to right things in the end. Now it is time that I clean up what few loose ends are left." With that the figure continued to walk away from the portal cloak trailing in the still nonexistent wind.

The figure finally set foot on solid ground as he reached the shore of the lake farthest from the castle. He needed to make his way towards the first beacon calling to him. This one was a tricky one for while he needed healing there was not much he could do. That was with out robbing him of ill gotten gifts bestowed upon him. He turned once more to look at the portal and wondered just how everything would end this time, last time he had been merged with his opposite after losing his fight with that man. He thought of it for a few moments and would stay by the lake for a time to get all his bearings straight. Once all was in order he would depart for his first stop...that is after he enjoyed the stillness of the water and the nice reflection of the moon off it's surface.

The boy was tired. He drug his feet a little as he walked to the side and little behind her. Rowan was just a little guy. He did not really know where they were going but he knew that she would always protect him. She had never left him after they met. This meant a lot to him. He did not have much else other than her and his stick. His trusty stick. His only defense if someone got to him.

He shuddered and inched even closer to her. The boy's thoughts wandered to scary places where people were attacking him and hurting her. He blinked back a tear. He did not want to cry. Rowan pinched a small piece of her clothes and closed his eyes. His head shook from side to side, as if he were trying to slowly ease the bad images from his head and out of his ears. He didn't want it.

The boy opened his eyes and looked to her. "Are we there yet? I'm getting scared..." His eyes fell to the ground after because he felt bad that he was scared. He knew she would protect him. She would always protect him because she was family now.

As she walked, she could feel Rowan’s presence closely behind her. He was never too far away, which was good. It comforted her to know he was so close. His soft footsteps tapped the ground behind her, and her own heels clicked along the path. She could feel his small hand tug on her scarf – it was enough to have Anameane notice he was there, but gentle enough to where it didn’t choke her or stop her in her tracks. She smiled gently to herself as she thought of him; an adopted brother in her eyes.

Her own behavior had shocked her at first. It wasn’t like Anameane to take people in. She often felt that having others around only slowed her down. But after meeting Rowan, she came to realize that those feelings were her own loneliness causing her to grow jaded. She had missed her family, but she would never admit it out loud. So when she met the small boy sitting by himself in the alleyway of an unknown street, it created a relationship she never expected would grow.

As they walked, she could feel Rowan tug on her scarf once more, this time requesting her attention. She stopped and turned, giving her attention to her small brother.

“Are we there yet? I’m getting scared...”

Anameane’s eyebrows rose for a moment, surprised by his statement. They hadn’t come across anything that could be considered threatening, at least not yet. She knelt down beside him then, her eyes searching his own for a moment while in silence. She then asked gently, “What’s scaring you?”

True, Ascantha was definitely not the place that Anameane wanted to spend a lot of time in. It was an intimidating place to be in, for sure. But what could be scaring him? If she had her way, they would be in the safety of the woods. There, you didn’t have to worry about people and closed in spaces. But the woods did have its own dangers, and she wasn’t confident in keeping track of Rowan while also being aware of their surroundings just yet. So, if he had to make a choice, it would be to spend more time in the cities.

Once more she asked gently, “What’s scaring you?”

The boy was a little ashamed at himself when Anameane stopped and knelt by him. All of the scary thoughts ran from his mind when she looked into his eyes. He was glad that they were together. Rowan's life with Anameane was a decent one. They never had much but they were alive and cared for one another.

He looked back at the ground and furrowed his eyebrows a bit. "I dunno... I just had bad thoughts again." His attention turned back to her face and the thoughts flooded back into his head again. The doubts and worries and fears. He quickly held his stick out to her, as if offering it to be inspected.

"Cause... I can't do anything and what if someone were to attack us or... or... hurt you or..." Rowan's eyes began to water and his face contorted in preparation of the coming tears. He took a deep breath and let out a slow moan as he wiped his eyes on a sleeve of the brown shirt he was wearing. It seemed to help him maintain his composure long enough to get out the last bit of his current fears and the source of his pained mind.

"I don't want to lose you!" And the tears started again. There was no way that he could make it in the world himself and Anameane was all he had. She was his family and only friend. All of the others were dead. Sometimes it was just too hard for him to bear and he broke down.

The figure slowly shook his head and caused the pleasant thoughts in his head to fade away. That time seemed so far gone now, and he needed to gather the other lost soul before moving on to a new chapter. So he turned from the beautifully still lake and began to walk away then he heard something that caused his foot steps to freeze. It was the sound of the meek and scared, this tugged oddly at him and as such he turned form his current path.

Silently the figure seemed to glide along the ground though in truth he did walk. He came across to others out near the still lake in the middle of the night. He listened for a few moments wondering why he was so drawn to them. After a moment of thinking he concluded he did not know why, but he could not bring himself to leave just yet. Maybe this was a remnant of what he had once been calling out to have traveling companions.

So he walked up behind the kneeling girl silently careful to keep his features revealed except his mouth. "Good evening young ones is everything alright?" He made sure to keep his stance balanced but neutral in appearance. He did not wish to startle them though he figured he might. Few people would not be startled by someone wrapped in a tattered cloak appearing out of seemingly no where.

Anameane smiled softly as she looked at the small boy. She took no pleasure in his fears, but she at times found his worries endearing. She gently rubbed her thumb across his cheeks, wiping away the tears that began to fall from his eyes. She smiled softly and said, “There is no reason to get upset, Rowan. We are going to be fine. It’s my job to protect you, okay? Nothing will happen to us.”

She wrapped her arms around his small body for a hug, but the embrace was quickly brought to an end once she heard a voice from behind them. It was something she was not expecting considering the abandoned terrain just moments before. She stood up quickly and whipped around, looking for the presence that belonged to the voice. Her hand shot to her dagger in its hilt instinctively, and she stepped in front of Rowan quickly.

However, realizing that there was no immediate danger, she relaxed somewhat as she looked to the stranger. Her hand never left her dagger, however.

If I need to reach for my bow, I need to make sure that Rowan is out of the way…

“We're fine," she said calmly but stern. She scooted back slightly to feel Rowan behind her, but to also to serve as a reassurance for the boy.

"Who are you?"

A few sniffles escaped him while his tears were brushed away by her caring hands. Though his eyes still teared up he looked at her and smiled with a small nod. "I know. 'Cause you're my big sister."

His mind's visions of bad things again dissipated and he was left with normal thoughts of a young brother being in the loving care of an older sister. Rowan liked it. Anameane always made him feel better and took care of him. His mind quickly ran to the future where he was somehow older than her, as if she was never going to get older, and was taking care of her.

As soon as his tears stopped and he reached for the hug he heard a strange voice. He squeaked and took a few steps back from the source that he could then see from around Anameane. A tall man in a cloak. The boy stayed silent and brought his hands, along with his stick up to his face. Rowan's body was visibly shaking, even as his protector moved closer to him. She would protect him. She said she would no matter what. This man wouldn't hurt them. His big sister wouldn't let them.

Rowan was mostly oblivious to the signs a possible fight, like Anameane's hand being on her weapon, because to him, everyone was out to get him. Everyone had their mind set on drawing their weapons. He saw nothing else when he looked at people. He trusted no one but Anameane.

The Cloaked figure simply smiled at the girls reaction, and the comfort that gripping her dagger must bring her. Her question though did bring a perplexed look and a moment of thought before a response was readied. "Who am I? Well I am just a wanderer in a strange land, you can call me Alexander." Then his eyes could be seen under the shadowed cowl of his cloak as they began to glow a soft gold color.

With this glow came a feeling of warmth and comfort, that seemed to ease away the aches and pains of those near by. Even if there was no actual wounds to be healed it would help provide a calm comforting air. "There will be no need to keep your hand there young lady as if I had intended you harm it would have already befallen you. Also seeing as I have introduced myself will you do me the same honor?"

His stance remained calm and neutral but always at the ready. For while he had not lied about being in a strange land he had enough of the previous memories to know there was the greatest danger in this city. he should probably have just left the two children be and headed towards his first goal but something called to him about these two. Kiaus would be fine in the long run so he would find out exactly what it was that was drawing him to these two.

Anameane hesitated for a moment, studying the figure before her. She didn’t like not being able to see his full image. He hid himself away from the world, and that always made Anameane think that people who did that had something to hide. If he had secrets, who was to say that he wasn’t a killer looking for helpless victims, or a criminal who wanted to strong arm an accomplice? She would never allow for Rowan to be placed in that position. Just thinking of it made her angry, so she closed her eyes for a moment to take in a deep breath to calm herself.

“Anameane,” she said as she opened her eyes again, looking to the cloaked man, “My name is Anameane.”

Her eyes darted downwards, looking towards Rowan’s direction. She stepped to the side, but still remained in front of him and said, “This is my brother, Rowan.”

She stated Rowan’s name, figuring that the man called Alexander would end up asking for it anyways. Sensing that there was no danger at hand, she lowered her hand that sat on her dagger and waived for Rowan to come forward. She held it out for him, trying to send the message that he would be all right.

Rowan's hands were up to his face as Anameane stood to the side and introduced him. Being exposed like that, he couldn't help but take a step back. His eyes avoided the scary man and the boy slowly inched back behind his big sister. He was completely behind her again but just enough for him to feel more secure. He did not want to be close to the stranger.

The boy did feel less antsy than he normally would have but it was almost too much for him. Especially because he was just imagining a similar scenario to this one just before the man showed up. Similar things happened in his mind before the man would draw his sword and come to kill them. Rowan shook his head slowly in an attempt to remove the ideas and images. Death. Bad men. Blood... Fire.

He closed his eyes so he did not see Anameane motion for him to come forward. He didn't want to see these things. He wanted them to go away. The boy began to clench his teeth. If his eyes were open it would be seen that the irises were turning red as the massive powers inside of him began to stir.

The man bowed to both of them slightly bring one of his leather and metal clad hands out from under his cloak and to his chest. "It is a pleasure to meet the both of you Anameane, and Rowan. Now that introductions are out of the may I ask you another question?" The man paused for a moment before he continued with his question.

"What is it that brings two young ones such as yourselves out at this time of night in a city such as this? Should you not be at home somewhere warm or maybe camped for the night? Or is it that you have neither a home to go to or the means by which to camp in such an area?" As he asked his questions he waved his one hand out in an arc in front of him indicating to several inns that could be seen from where they were standing.

Then his cloak began to blow again as if in a wind that really wasn't there. This caused his head to turn away from the children and back at the moon and towards the direction he had come. After a moment he turned towards another direction as if looking at something way off in the distance. "It seems that he has made it to someplace where he can heal. Good this will give me more time." His words were low and to himself but they could most likely still hear them.

Anameane let her hand dangle as she waited for a response from Rowan. She didn’t notice him hiding his eyes due to her distraction with the man in front of them. Her eyes never left him, still feeling somewhat suspicious of the meeting. However, he seemed gentle and kind, at least at face value.

Or is it that you have neither a home to go to or the means by which to camp in such an area?" His hand rose in the air and guided to the side gently, pointing out the cityscape around them. Anameane looked to the buildings for a moment before turning her attention back to Alexander.

“Inns are unnecessary. We can manage without them,” she spoke. “We prefer the seclusion of the woods. Not many people seem to live in the wild these days. I prefer it.”

She turned then, looking down her small brother. He stood, trembling with his hands covering his eyes. She smiled softly and knelt down beside him, placing her hands gently on his shoulders.

“Rowan,” she said as she tilted her head to the side. Her braids fell over her shoulders, her decorative metal diamonds jingling as they did so.

“Rowan?” She said once more.

But then she heard Alexander say something more. Something cryptic. His words were obviously not for them, but his statement certainly wasn’t a secret either considering he said it out loud. She looked to the man over her shoulder as she still held onto Rowan lightly.

“Hm? Who?” She asked.

The boy was lost in the visions. He felt so helpless. There was so much fire. Everywhere, burning. Fire. Death. Blood. Just when he felt he could not hold it anymore he felt a familiar touch. A small jingle. Anameane.

A calm washed over him. She was there. Nothing bad would happen. He didn't hear her say his name the first time and so didn't react. He was recovering. The feeling that had come so close to bursting free began to recede from his body. Everything tingled as the energy slowly drained from him and his eyes returned to their normal color.

Finally, after what seemed to Rowan like an eternity, he opened his eyes and looked at his big sister. He was doing his best to be strong. He held back his tears as best as he could. His tears of fear. Of disappointment in himself. The disappointment he feared would come from Anameane if he told her how close it was. He was scared to tell her. The power almost came out. It was so close.

His voice was quiet and hardly audible. "I'm okay." Simple words made the tears too much to hold back and a few ran down his face, which he quickly tried to hide by looking at the ground.

Rowan realized his head hurt. It always did when his power came out. It had been a long five minutes for the boy... He wished the scary man would go and it could just be him and his big sister. He wished she could make camp and he could lay down.

He heard her response to his question as he was staring off towards the Well of Syn. Even though he could not actually see it being so far away. His attention returned to them with the girls question of "Who?". "A person that is lost and will need help soon enough. Also I can understand the desire to avoid such places normally myself. Though in this area it may be safer if you were to stay in such a place at least for tonight."

As he spoke his eyes being the only part of his facial features not obscured could be seen scanning the nearby alleyways and streets. Some movement caught his eye near one of the street corners, but he quickly dismissed it as it appeared to be a simple lady of the evening looking for companionship. His eyes then lowered back to the two in front of him again. "Why don't the two of you come with me to one of these fine establishments for tonight and I will make sure you have a room all to yourselves for the night? I will also make sure the both of you have a chance for a fine meal and restful nights privacy."

He had the perfect place in mind and for some strange reason he could not get over the feeling that there were still more pieces in play, and players to collect before he left this town to the next location. He felt the pull of two more down towards the dock distract. He hoped these two would join him there but he could not force nor blame them if they turned him down.

“Why don't the two of you come with me to one of these fine establishments for tonight and I will make sure you have a room all to yourselves for the night? I will also make sure the both of you have a chance for a fine meal and a restful night’s privacy."

Anameane turned her attention back to Rowan and looked to him for a moment. She began to study him to see how he was handling the situation they were in. She knew that he was always hesitant around strangers, and this hesitation called for a lot of stress.

She was torn when making their decision. One side of her wanted to turn Alexander down on his offer. She wanted to keep Rowan and herself away from large gatherings of people. She was also weary of the man, and being in his care for the night had the potential to go badly.

However, on the other hand, Anameane wanted to make sure that Rowan would get a restful sleep. She was always worried for his well being in the woods. She knew she would be able to take care of herself, but when it came to Rowan’s comfort and safety, she was always unsure of herself. She was sure that a filling meal from the city would be appreciated as well.

“Rowan,” she said gently as she gave him her full attention, “I’ll leave this decision up to you. If you want us to camp out here for the night by ourselves, I would be more than happy to do that. But, if you want a nice bed to sleep in tonight, as well as a filling meal, we can go to one of the inns. I will be by your side the entire time, and never let you out of my sight. You and I will share a room together with no one else. Then, in the morning, we can continue on. What would you prefer?”

He did not like it. Mostly because it was the stranger's idea. Rowan wasn't a trusting kid. He knew what strangers did to innocent people. His mind, though, all of the fears he had bottled up inside, fell to the promise of tasty warm food and a warm bed. His big sister would be there with him too... She promised.

He nodded, his fatigue and pains forgotten. He was excited for a bed. So excited that he did not realize that they would be going into a city. Full of strangers. Full of danger. "Uh huh! I want to sleep in a bed! Can we?"

His voice was louder than before, his eyes gleamed and a smile was even on his face. "We can have a nice room and warm with a fire place and a bed with a red blanket and soft! Lots of yummy food and warm soup and meat with nice fresh water from the well from the yard!"

Rowan had forgotten completely about Alexander standing behind Anameane. A moment of a child's happiness.

Alexander waited a moment for the child to decide their course of action. He then smiled a bit once he saw the child's eyes light up and his voice sound stronger and louder. He even chuckled to himself as he went on about what type of bed and the color of the blanket he wanted. After a moment he nodded his approval and spoke. "I will see if we can find an inn with all of those things."

The next moment his eyes began to glow with silver energies and arcs of what seemed like lightning began to dance from the corners of his eyes. "Allow me to take us there quickly so we don't have to worry about anything and can get there in a flash." The next moment there was a flash of blinding light that would transport them instantly to the door of a particular tavern.

This tavern was located down by the docks of Ascantha and was currently the location that a crew of pirates calling themselves the Brotherhood of the Golden Sash were staying. It was here that Alexander was being drawn by two people in particular. One would be the boyish Captain while the other was a seemingly overly lucky crew member.

(I won't actually teleport you guys there in this post. But you can each have your characters use the teleport in your next posts. Any questions please feel free to ask.)

((Sorry this took so long. I've been really busy for the past week. Also, I apologize for the crappy post. :] ))

She smiled at how excited Rowan became at the thought of a nice hotel room. Watching him caused her to get excited as well. While she preferred to be away from the city life, it was a nice change of pace every once in a while. And if this man would get them a nice room to stay in, she couldn’t be too upset about that.

"I will see if we can find an inn with all of those things. Allow me to take us there quickly so we don't have to worry about anything and can get there in a flash."

A blinding flash took over Anameane’s sense. It was so bright her head began to ache and her eyes began to water. She quickly grabbed Rowan’s hand and held on tightly before covering her eyes with her other hand.

After the teleport, Anameane slowly lowered her hand and took a look around the area. It appeared to be close to a dock, the night sky reflecting in the waters. She kept a hold of Rowan’s hand as she surveyed the area further. She needed to make sure they would be safe in this new area of Ascantha.

Rowan was excited and prepared for the walk. He didn't realize that he would have to walk through big crowds with strange people all around him just yet so no bad thoughts were on his mind. His outlook on the situation was a good one, despite the strange cloaked man still being around. Rowan had honestly forgotten all about him and was focused on being in a nice cozy room with Anameane for the night. That excitement quickly ended when the world went white.

His first thought was fear that he had done something. The boy was shaken up good in that second of travel. When he opened his eyes he found himself in a new area. There was water and boats. He was still scared that he did something so he eagerly took Anameane's hand and stayed close. His excitement was gone and again replaced by fear. Where had this man taken them?!

-----------------------------------------------------
Lucian shook his head as he walked off of his ship and onto the docks. They had been here too long! Too long. They were needed elsewhere. He didn't know where, but there had to be someone in peril. Definitely not these Aesirian pukes. Lucian wouldn't save them if his life depended on it.

He was in a state of cabin fever. He didn't want to stay cooped up on the boat right now. He needed to be outside in the fresh, cool air. It was nice. In the distance he saw a quick flash and then a few figures appear on the dock ahead of him. Interesting. He started to head that way, makeshift cloth cape blowing slightly in the breeze. Yes. Yes he was being silly with a cape.

Ugh... It was a another boring day in harbor. I don't want to go into town.... Again. I am tired of this place. When are we finally setting sail again?
Lucky Jack thought to himself while sitting on deck.

What should I do... What should I do? OH! I know, I will go bother The Captain again. I wonder where he is?

Jack decided to search around The Golden Line. He searched below deck, on deck, in the armory, in the cabin, and in the Captain's quarters, with no luck, which doesn't happen very often to Lucky Jack.

Exasperated, Jack leaned over the side of the ship and hung his head downward. A bright flash reflected against the water below. Jack looked up to see where the source of light was coming from. In the distance he spotted a band of people, a small boy, an attractive dark skinned young lady, and a cloaked man. In route to this group was The Captain.

"Oh Cap'n my Cap'n! Where fore arte thou going?!"

Alexander looked around at the surrounding area he was close to the ones that were strangely tugging at him yet he had promised his newest two traveling companions lodging. He saw the inn near by and motioned with an out stretched gauntleted hand. "Would the two of you like to lead the way inside or would you prefer to follow me?" His voice was still calming and friendly as he spoke.

Even though he asked the question he made steps towards the inns door first. Just as he was about to reach out and open it the wood splintered and a limp body hit into the cloaked man's chest with a slightly sickening thud and then slid down to the ground at his feet. The man had not even wavered when the body his him and was almost like stone. The sound of rowdy thugs and a bar fight could then be heard pouring from the light filled splintered doorway.

"I am sorry you two it looks like we will need to find another inn this one appears to be booked." As he said this he turned around so he was facing the two of them. As he motioned for them to move down the street towards another inn a rather large figure stepped through the shattered door and looked at the heap on the ground before looking at Alex's back.

A hand shoot out and grabbed the cloaked man's shoulder before a gruff gravely voice spoke. "You what did you do to my friend here? Why is it he is lying here in a heap at your feet?" Not really waiting for a response the man raised his mammoth arm and went to bring his free hand down on top of the cloaked figures head.....

((OOC: thought I would spices things up a little bit though nothing to serious. smile.gif ))

It took a moment for Anameane to adjust to her new surroundings. The sudden transport between locations sent her mind through a loop. They were before an inn, and Alexander stood before them silently for a moment before speaking to herself and Rowan. He offered for them to enter into the Inn in order to obtain the room they were promised, but before Anameane could take a step forward a limp body came flying through the door and straight into her host’s chest. Alexander watched as it fell to the floor; he never seemed to flinch when contact was made. Anameane’s eyes grew wide as she quickly stepped in front of her brother, shielding him from anything that might come next.

"I am sorry you two. It looks like we will need to find another inn; this one appears to be booked." Alexander said. As he turned to leave, another man came through the wreckage of the door and grabbed his shoulder. He asked what happened to his friend, his tone accusing Alexander of the attack. Anameane watched as the man raised his hand in the air to come down upon Alexander. This was a crucial moment to make a quick decision. She could reach for her bow, Aegis, and aim an arrow straight at the assailant’s head, or, she could quickly turn and run the other way with Rowan. The old Anameane would have done just that. She would have abandoned Alexander within an instant if it meant the safety and well being of herself. However, since meeting Rowan, she didn’t quite act in that manner anymore.

With quick reflexes she whipped the bow that sat on in its holster on her back, and a second later an arrow was in place and ready to fire. With strict, strong arms, she aimed the arrow right at the stranger’s head, her eyes narrowed and focused. Now was not the time for idle threats or playing around. One false move, the man would die by Anameane’s hand. There was too much to risk otherwise.

“Move and you’ll have my arrow in your head before you can even blink.” She growled.

Wide eyed with terror, Rowan watched as the events unfolded and ended with a dead man on the ground and his sister with an arrow at another person's head. This was it. This was why he was scared of strangers. They were all like this, all of them. He could not escape all of the people. They were all out to get him and hurt the people he loved.

Anameane was in front of him with her bow drawn and ready. She would protect him. She would protect him... Nobody else could. He took slow steps back away from the scene. Time seemed to move slowly and his body felt numb. He didn't know what to do. What could he do. His eyes began to turn a deep, cold blue.

He was too distracted to realize he was getting awfully close to the end of the dock. Then, his mind went blank. His body knew it had been grabbed from behind and his mind, his power reacted. The big man in front of the tavern suddenly became encased in a block of ice and an explosion of pure energy erupted from the boy's body, sending his would-be attacker into the water. The dock was cracked and beginning to crumble but as his power left him, all Rowan could do was cry.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lucian glanced over his shoulder to Lucky Jack who apparently was looking for some fun, too. He waved over his shoulder as he turned his attention back to the group. The situation had changed drastically in the few seconds he looked away. One man lay dead on the ground and another was at arrow point of a girl who seemed to be with a man who was about to get clobbered over the head. This wasn't good... Lucian's attention turned to the young boy. He was backing towards the edge of the dock!

He didn't really know what was going on with the other people but the boy needed to be stopped. The captain went into a full sprint towards the child and was there in seconds, grabbing the boy from behind to stop him from going any farther. A short wave of relief washed over him. Just before a strong, painful wave of energy washed him away off the dock and into the water.

Sailing through the air Lucian wondered. Why who I always end up in the water? Then a splash. It was painful. He was certainly going to feel that in the morning. Now really wasn't the time to sit around though. He kinda couldn't breath and kinda had the air knocked out of his lungs. So, he blinked a couple times, decided not to wonder what the big ominous shadows moving around in the water around him were and swam to the surface and toward a ladder to get back onto the dock.

He mumbled under his breath, "The people I'm trying to help hurt me more often than the enemies..."

Staring dumbfoundedly as the scene before Lucian and him unfolded, Jack saw a body fly out of the building right into the cloaked figure. Another figure then came out of the inn and confronted the cloaked man. All of a sudden, in a flurry of movement, the pretty young lady grasped her bow in one hand, and an arrow in another, and then proceeded to draw and point the arrow at the man that had just came out of the inn.

"That gal is feisty~ I'll havta remember not to mess with that one." Jack whispered to himself.

Just then, Jack saw the little boy back away towards the dock, and The Captain racing to him, in order to prevent the boy from falling into the ocean. When Lucian reached the boy, a wave of energy exploded out of the boys body. The man in front of the cloaked figure and the young lady was suddenly inside a giant ice cube.

Jack then returned his gaze back to the little boy, and was surprised to see his Captain flipping through the air, right above the water.

SPLASH! Lucian was in the water.

Quickly, Jack grabbed a rope, dashed down to the dock, tying the rope so that it had a loop around the end and threw the rope down to his young companion. As soon as the rope splashed around Lucian, the water began to churn dangerously and the shadows below began to take a more distinct form.

Jack pulled the rope as hard as he could, allowing it to wrap around Lucian by his midsection and tighten below the armpits.

"Hurry! Them sea beasties be raving for a human sized meal, if you know what I mean."

Alexander drew a heavy breath when the large man placed his hand on his shoulder and he looked up at the girl as she drew her bow and notched an arrow. his hands made a motion to calm her down when he saw the boy backing towards the water and two others coming up from behind him. When the younger one reached out to stop the boy from backing off the dock he saw and felt the explosion of energies.

The next thing he knew he felt the Ice slowly creeping down the now encased mans arm and slowly beginning to encase the fabric beneath the mans grasp. So he simply jerked his shoulder forward and broke off several of the frozen mans fingers in the process. He then spun around and looked him in the eyes which seemed to still be moving and in pain. "You are lucky that the young boy over there did this to you because what I had planned was much worse." He then walked over past the girl with the bow and stood by the young lad Rowan while looking into the water at the two other gentlemen.

He then gently placed a gloved hand on top of the boys head and ruffled his hair a bit. "Good job son, good job." He looked over the other two again and realized that these were the two that were calling to something inside of him the whole reason that he had brought them down here. "Evening gentlemen I am sorry for the little mishap the boy does not know his own strength it would seem. To make up for the dip in the cold waters I buy you two a nice drink?"
