BehsI awakened from my rest, unsure how long I was asleep; I don't even remember going to bed. Opening my eyes, I saw a greenish blue sky above me. A flock of birds were passing overhead. I heard the crashing of water, and realized that my bed was rocking to and fro...Sitting up, I found myself not in my bed, or even my palace. I was on a reed boat in the middle of an ocean. I felt as if I was not even on Earth anymore, but instead another planet. Did the scientists' plan work? Did the human race colonize the moon?I couldn't remember much, except that my name was Behs, a woman that lived in Seattle; one of the human outposts was located there. Only 5 of the world's major cities had survived the war. I did not remember my childhood, my teen years, nor any part of my past. I only remembered the hyperspheres I was forced to climb into. The scientists said when the moon was inhabitable enough, the hyperspheres would be ejected. Apparently it did work, because I was alive and...somewhere. But why was I not still in the hypersphere? How did I get into this boat? Also...why am I naked? I found a single oar in the boat, and noticed land to the south, so I headed towards it. Maybe someone on land can give me more information. Whoever is there will enjoy the view they get. As I drifted across the ocean, for some reason I felt relaxed, calm. The oar seemed to glide across the water with ease; slow, it had a soothing hypnotic effect as I stared at it. Various fish hopped out of the water, as if they were following my boat. The sky had turned a golden color, as if it was glowing, yet still had a green tone as well. It felt as if I had travelled for two days, but the sun never descended. My stomached roared in protest of its malnourishment, and my eyes were heavy. But I had to make it to shore as soon as I could, or else I would become even more weak...I had finally reached the shore; by chance there happened to be a dock there. I found a rope in the reed boat, which I used to hold it in place. But as I wrapped it around the yew wood dock..... Why would it be made out of yew, a type of wood with magic-infused energy that aids in a caster's energy costs?...Sorry, my mind went off track, like always...the rope, as I tied it to the dock, glowed with a magical energy, and the rope bound with the wood; I tried undoing the knot I had made, to no avail however. Well, I guess the land will be my only option from now on. Trees had covered the whole beachside, but as I ventured through the giants, they disappeared behind me and I was in a cave; but it wasn't a cave, it was more like an inside wooden palace. The ceiling, I guessed was two hundred feet tall, and it was suspended by varoius roots that...well, rooted it in place. The structure was furbished with windows and doors, that most like were rooms to this giant house....I knew it was a house, not a town, because one--there was a crystal-blue chandelier hanging above the center-- and two because there were no people. No beggars nor tradesmen, civilians nor even beasts. I toured around the area, glancing at every structure, memorizing, and mesmerizing, the detail of the work. Carved into the wood was art of vines, stars, and the four elements. They glowed with a dark blue neon. it seemed as if this entire land was filled with an abundance of p Mure magical energy. As I turned my head back to the 'road', an old man had appeared in center of the plaza. His attire gave me a hint that he was a sage, an old grand master of priceless wisdom. I bowed my head in respect, "Greetings, Master." Wait, what the f...who the hell?! What's going on? Someone's controlling my body, I've never even met this man.Oh hush up childWho are you...what have you done? But before my questions could be answered, the sage had walked up to me. "Welcome, Bast", he said. I forced words out "My..name is..not..Bast." The Sage looked into my eyes and laughed, "So, I see you have a fighter on your hands, eh Bast?" Am I possessed? Is this a dream?A womanly voice echoed in my head. Relax my child, I do not wish to bring you harm. My name is Bast, Lady of the East. I bear the light for your journeys, guiding you through this new land. I am a spirit that is joined with your own life force. Do not consider me a leech, I have given you the ability to harness godly powers, once you learn them. What is this This is a HPSP Simulation--A hypersphere 3D virtual world that will train you in the skills which you need to survive. You are still in the hypersphere pod launched from Earth to populate Redemption. However, your pod burrowed deep within the ocean, only to resurface thousands of years after much of Redemption's life. This land has been scourged by evil and chaos, and you must help to restore order to Dark Forest. Whether it is a simple mercenery job, war general, or high priest, help in the constant seige that befalls the earth.

I started to calm down as I realized the situation. So none of this is real?
The Sage had answered my question this time, as if he had read my mind. "Actually, all that you currently see is real. This is Roft, inside of the Mile Tree. However, this is only a virtual representation of Redemption, a dream. While you do not have to fear death in this simulation, you will still feel pain, hunger, fatigue, and any other physical sensations."
"What am I supposed to do?" I asked.
"You will venture through this city, and certain...obstacles, will be in your way. You must remove the obstacle(s), with your natural survival instincts." He drifted off, studying a nearby tree. With an old, bony hand, he scratched the bark; the tree did not tear, however, but only released a blue vapor. The old man had a forced cough; it sounded painful. After he recovered, he walked back towards me, and took a meditative pose; a blue aura started to surround us, and a row of six weapons appeared in front of me. "You may choose any one you want," the old man sounded different, his voice was deeper.
Hmm.....
"I choose the whip."
All of the weapons, except for the whip, disappeared out of sight. The whip remained suspended in the air by an invisible force. When I reached out for the whip, it attracted to my hand like a magnet. It was black, with brown stripes and a bronze colored handle. The whole whip was made of a tough, yet smooth leather. felt...almost weightless. Yet a power emminated from it, almost like an ancient force. I felt stronger, fully rested, and like I could take on anything. Taking my eyes off my new weapon, I looked up and found that the old man disappeared. "Wait! What am I supposed to do?" I remembered the voice in my head......Bast?
You must learn to rely upon yourself to know what to do. When you are released into the outside world, you will be on your own, with no guidance from anybody. I will help you in this simulation, but I will not give you step by step directions.
I took a deep breath, and began walking further into the 'tree'. I could hardly believe this was even a tree, I've never heard of one that was a mile high. As I walked, the earth felt weird against my bare feet. Though it was all dirt and roots, it felt like nothing more than condensed air. With each step I took, I looked back to see any footprints that I made, but found none. Various sounds echoed around me, sounds of wildlife and creatures scurrying around in the distance, talking and communicating amongst eachother. I heard sounds similar to a monkey, then a bear, then a giant insect perhaps? The clicking of feet made me think so. I grasped the whip's handle tighter.
A small creature darted out in front of me, and I quickly responded by letting go of my whip (not the handle) so that I was ready to attack. But as seconds past, I realized that it was only a rabbit; it was nibbling on some lettuce a few feet away from me. It's head was turned to face away from me, though it could still see me from the corner of its eye.
I slowly walked towards it. "Hi, little guy," I said in a childish tone. I extended a hand out to pet it, but it quickly turned to look at me and growled. It had extremely long teeth that stuck out of its mouth, and red eyes that would normally belong to a demon. I started to back away and the rabbit's body began to grow. It's back legs were getting longer, it's chest became thicker and shaped much like a human's, and it's head expanded to resemble a massive dog....the creature was now over 8 feet tall, and stood only on two legs. It let out a deep, rumbling growl that shook the earth.

I instantly started to run away, sprinting as fast as I could go. But the beast was too big, it caught up to me with ease. With it's boulder-sized claws, it picked me up and held me in a suffocating grip. I stared into it's eyes as I slowly lost consciousness. The world around me went black, and everything disappeared into nothingness. I no longer felt the pain of the creature's crushing force, I could not remember who or where I was, nor how I came to be. It felt as if I did not even exist, like the entire universe was merely a dream, a creation of my consciousness.
But then I felt great warmth. Strong, like a fire, but soothing and free like water. My vision slowly began to revert back to normal, and the world around me took form once again. I lay curled up on the ground, the beast screaming in the distance. What happened?
Well done, Behs. You have succeeded in casting your first spell, Fira. You had to pass out in order for your unconscious mind to release the power, but you did it. Would you like to see?
The world around me blured and became distorted. I was now watching the scene from a few seconds ago, when the beast almost killed me. My body was struggling, trying to be free of its crushing cage, but my eyes eventually closed and my struggle had ceased. My limp body began to glow with an orange aura, and I exploded into flames. The inferno consumed all of the beast's paw, and it released me and ran away into the distance.
The scene disappeared, and I was back in the present, staring at a tree (or root, since this whole structure was a tree). "So how do I harness the fire?"
That is something you will have to find out by yourself, nobody can teach you how. It requires not only deeply undisrupted concentration, but also relaxation to allow the energy to flow through your body. Basically, you have to will the fire to form. Within time, you may discover other spells.
"Spells? So it's magic then.....how the hell could scientists CREATE magic?"
The scientists, or Ancients as they are known in Redemption, did not necessarily create magic--Magic has always been in around. It was magic that created life, matter, and all existence. However, humans have never been able to harness magic themselves until Redemption. I do not know exactly how it came to be; perhaps while slumbering in the hypersphere pods, the human mind continued to evolve subconsciously, allowing them to tap into that power...But enough delay, continue with your training.

OOC: I do not RP anymore (for the time being), but I wish to finish this before the site goes down in a week or two....unless Kaleb decides to skip on that as well. So, I am being very lazy and skipping through most of what I planned for her. Long story short, she goes through the undertree city, discovering hidden talents and acquiring new skills. Here is the end that I've written out, I thought it was rather cool. It is a monologue of Behs. Enjoy....
IC:
I enter this world with ignorance, but that is the role of the human race. Unknowing what may happen or where my path may take me, searching for some meaning to this life, this second chance at a fresh start. Redemption may be the best part of my life, or its magical existence might become the death of me. Only time will tell. I take the first step to independence, I feel reborn, and with my newfound powers, I can conquer anything this dastardly planet can throw at me.
A roar echoed in the background; the trees around me began to shake. In an instant, they were brushed aside like mere twigs, and a giant beast stared at me with serpent eyes... an orange dragon, barring its teeth and puffing out flames.
"Oh, shit," I thought to myself.
OOC: Feel free to post comments, or ur epilogue of what happens to Behs (Narratives, no stories)
