~Finally, after long last, the war has ended. The Empire's campaign lasted through the spring and summer months. With good weather and the god of fortune on their side, their forces pushed at an increadible pace across the continent of Ardania. Roft was taken for all it resources, and trodden underfoot. General Ariel's long walls, set up over many months to help protect the country from the Empire's impending invasion, were trampled over like so much loose gravel. War machines made of Colossus Steel pushed deep into the heart of the city-state, raining magically concocted shells down upon Aesirian troops, forcing the Holy Army to fall back repeatedly to the sanctity of their own home gates. But this all ended abruptly when a first assault was made against the Empire's forward base positioned outside of the silver city, Ascantha. Faerie' of the Aesir's Five led with a flurry of flames, with the dragon-kin Burning Twilight Caithann Nova'dn clearing all that remained of the enemy soldiers from Ardania. Whispers of a third impressive figure new and serving under the Aesir surfaced, but so far the individual's presence has been left mostly unnoted except for the grotesque aftermath of bodies he leaves behind. A third fire bender? Certainly, there are powers at work under the god-triumvirate that rival sun. The Empire surrendered on the open fields in Yevela when their forces were overwhelmed by the members of the Five. Despite the valiant efforts of the officers in their ranks, the Empire's army stood no chance without their greatest leaders and magicians, all of whom mysteriously vanished. The process is slow now, but work is being done to rebuild the farmlands that were lost under the treads of terrible war machines. Many soldiers were killed on either side, and the recovery will be a long and well ventured road by the time it comes full circle, and Ardania is whole again. No news has come of late from the three gods who stand as rulers over the richest continent on Redemption, but a new regent lord has been put in place from their inner circle and given direct jurisdiction over the still crumpled city of Ultimatum. Plans are that the city will be rebuilt and fortified, making it the new seat of Aesirian power on Kerlock. This will connect trade routes between the two continents and Nazca, giving the Aesirian city-state a larger part in world trade. Surely, and without opposition, the would-be "gods" are coming to power over all Redemption. What fate do they have in store for the neutral states of Sanctuary, Nazca, Alegrarse, and Tristan? Already, telepathic notes are being prepared, and scribes are scrambling to carefully hide the secrets that are about to see revelation and unfold. The Aesir's goal at one point was world domination, and ultimately the purging of all life from the planet in order that it may be born again anew. As once was uttered with some confidence by the silver noble, Luthe: Never leave the door to the past even slightly ajar. It may just be blown off it's hinges.

Kazuko will do what she can for Tristan and Alegrarse - but she is caught up in a mini-plot event right now...
I'm sure Farmourner wouldn't mind creeping out of lurking and into RPing to defend Tristan.

Don't forget that you can net the Lance of Methos (and possibly one other mythic) if you get involved with the quest to save Ascantha from the inky black orb ( topic here). Siege came around, and took his gems back, but there's one more floating around that we want to give out. Be on the lookout. Until then, keep your wits about you and get in good with the leaders of those neutral cities (or the Aesir, if you like).

Unbelievable, I go away for a weekend, and my little city-state is getting threatened and I'm being supplanted! Lady Dragonslayer is still around in full force, and I believe the time frame is such that the Army of Tristan is fully trained and ready by now, and our infrastructure should be just finishing. So one of the most defensible cities in the world, is now fully armed. Tristan will not cower to any threats, though I see no reason for Tristan to be hostile towards the Aesir. We were sympathetic to their cause during the war, though we were sympathetic to both causes. Now that the Aesir has won, Tristan's own principles state they have earned their status as a world power. There is no reason for Tristan to seek war with the mighty Aesir, but do not doubt that Tristan will be more than ready should defense become necessary.

Good too hear Myuna is back and active, she and the Marquis should probably sit down sometime and finalize any agreements between each other. Also Roush, the only characters who make people nervous on this forum is The Beggar, Ezekiel and the majority of Gs's characters due to their past actions of random events that stirred up alot of trouble. That said the Marquis looks forward to speaking with the Aesir if they come to him, though any messengers might be delayed due to a large amount of landing fees, passports and other tad bits that the Marquis might come up with. Well that is a lie there is one woman with the Aesir the Marquis might let through without any trouble.
