The Botanical Gardens Located around the inner wall of the sprawling metropolis is the Botanical Gardens. Home to all manner of plants and animals, this place is protected by Elven Rangers who ensure that no plant, animal or person within the Botanical Gardens is harm. Hunting and Poaching within the Gardens is forbidden. Located at the only lake within the Gardens stand three statues, not seen anywhere else within the city. One of pure white marble, one of copper and one of blackest obsidian stand, a monument to the three greats of the city and also one of the only surviving pieces of the original structures. By the lake stands a single willow tree, the area secluded enough that the sounds of the city are unheard and is often used for meditation.

The Path of Statues Unlike Ascantha which is littered with blue crystal statues, Sanctuary's main street is lined with statues of heroes past and present, good and evil. There are also statues of minor personalities and figures of the world, each statue is carved with unique precision and care, the details exact. An old man tends to the statues daily, cleaning them an muttering to himself. Known to the Residence of Sanctuary as The Caretaker, he cleans the street that links the three most important places in the city. The Botanical gardens, the White Pillar Hall and the Fountain of Creed.

White Pillar Hall Home to the Government of Sanctuary, White Pillar Hall was built around the only pillar to survive Lien Greveck's attack on the old Guardian Fortress. It is rumored that the White Pillar cannot be destroyed by mortal means and that should the pillar crack, then so shall the world. The government of Sanctuary sits weekly to discuss the city's needs and world events, the public are free to participate and vote in the city's affairs as often as they like.

The Fountain of Creed This structure located at the heart of the city was originally the Elemental Geyser that shot natural energy into the air, with Elven techniques, the geyser was tamed and the flow of natural energy channeled into this fountain which depicts a man in robes holding aloft Redemption above his head as the waters of the fountain wash down over his head. Unlike the city which is made of white stone, the fountain is made of marble, copper and obsidian in equal parts, shops form a ring around the fountain making it the market and meeting place of the city's inhabitants.

The Mantle The wall located within the Botanical Gardens as part of the garden itself is so overgrown with plant life that the actual structure is hard to see. Beneath the creeping plants that hide it from view is the same rock that makes up the rest of Sanctuary, though within the wall are both ley lines of natural energy and the a multitude of natural metal and alloys. The entire structure itself is so sturdy it's been speculated that were Lien to step upon the wall it would not break. Located throughout the wall are gathering points of energy that fuel the natural defensive abilities of the inner wall, replications of the elemental towers of the old Guardian's Fortress, these sub-elemental towers serve to create a defensive shield that is rumored to rival that of Charlmagne's Sky.

Jericho's Wall Created and Designed by Dwarven smith Jericho, the walls of Sanctuary are fashioned from the same white rock as all the city, yet unlike the buildings, the walls are seventy metres high and fifty metres thick with Mithril rods criss-crossing throughout the walls, making it nigh impossible for siege weapons to damage the walls. Engraved on to the walls is the story of the City's founder, Farian Greveck, the story goes all around the walls, most of it however is covered in Ivy, making parts of the story hard to read. The gates of Sanctuary are Mithril and Steel and were forged by Leopold Crowley with Dragon fire and no Alchemy, they are as thick as the walls and the mechanism to open them can take an hour to open, making them a formidable sight for any foe to assault. Tunnels also dot the walls, allowing access to the city for all angles for travellers, but like the main gates, can be sealed with ease. As an extra defensive open of the wall itself, the elemental towers were reborn and built into the wall as well, providing the entire structure with a natural ward to help with repelling any attack made.

The White Pillar Once part of the Guardian's Hall, this White Pillar is the only piece of the ancient and mighty hall which fed and trained the people of the surrounds. Now the Pillar stands as a testament to the power of the Fortress, it's surface unblemished and perfect despite the ruin around it. Rumour has it that upon this pillar a new city shall be born.

Chamber of Secrets A hidden room whose door resembles the walls of the rest of Sanctuary. Covered in vines and hidden from view, only a single flower marks the door. What's inside is anyone's guess.

Faire Grounds Open for spring, summer, and autumn festivals! Stages for the various tournament events are surrounded by three square miles of tents, booths, and stalls. The smells of fresh food and animal dung are thick in the air. Look inside for competition topics, or otherwise enjoy the festivities.
