Lao Tzu really didn't know the area. So he just walked into the first bar he could find in town. As he walked in, the smell almost made him turn right around and walk out. But he decided to stick with it, for atleast a bit while he took a seat at the bar and order a shot of rum.

He looked causally around the bar, not really looking for anything in particular, just looking at the patrons of the bar. He really wasn't focused on that. He was focused upon, drinking.

The bar was dirty, grimy and smelled, but it sold spirits of some sort.
