Valenar had flown for what seemed like ages before he stopped for a night. He had ordered a messenger from the Colony to take a letter to the crew asking for them to meet him at North Cliff. Now he raced against the clock to beat everyone to North Cliff. He was sure that the Colony would send a group after his parents returned and that the Wolves would likely send a group. No he needed to do this he needed to be the one to bleed if anyone was going to.

This was his inherent flaw, he had the need to take on the pain of those he cared for or those under him. After the desert city it seemed like more then ever he needed to be the one to bleed maybe it was some kind of urge to end it all he didn't know. Now he stood over looking the splashing waves as the crashed against the shoreline. He also saw several ships anchored along the shore at various places. This was going to be a long tough fight be he simply smiled.

"This is one thing I know how to do with out a second thought. I know how to fight, and I know how to kill. Two things every drow male learns at a young age...." He checked the gear he had stopped off and picked up for himself from one of his old weapons caches hidden around along the way. He had forgone the usual spikes and hidden blades. Instead he had picked up a weapon he had hidden away because it drew out the anger and bloodlust in him, he had that strapped across his back the massive katana that it was. Then he had the sword his sister had gifted him with that seemed immune to his metal bending abilities. Finally he had his other Katana the one enchanted to dispel magic on touch and a quiver full of special arrows that when fired turned to pure light with the bow across his back.

He was ready for the coming fight. He looked out across the water one last time hearing the rhythmic sound of the waves and knew that once this was cleared his Family and those of the colony would come to love it. Some would see why it was he had gotten lost in his duties on the ship and how calming and serene the ocean could be when it wanted to. It was time for the blood bath to begin so he silently stepped off the edge of the cliff and opened up his wings allowing the wind to catch them to hold him aloft. then he headed in silently as the sun was just rising towards the still sleeping camps of smugglers, pirates, thieves, and slavers.

((Before I start sorry for the double posting but this was the only feasible way for me to work this out.))

Valenar came in with the rising sun just a small shadow at first. He stopped at a small camp of drunken men who were still asleep and went to his grisly task. It was once said that drow could sneak up and kill even death before he knew it. Val had long ago perfected the art of the silent kill, some battles were better fought with no enemy commander to lead.

After a few moments those men all lay in an eternal peaceful sleep. He quickly cleaned his blades before he took to the air once more. He had chosen to do this in the early morning and part of him screamed it was stupid, yet he knew Pirates they liked to party all night and sleep in. While his skills were better at night but there would be a long day of fighting best to take the outer alarms away before taking the heart.

So he made his way to the next camp in line this one he found much as the first and quickly did the same though the last one of them woke up to take a piss and walked right into Val. He only had a moment but his scream of terror and surprise rang out loud and clear....the easy part was already over..."Curse the luck...I guess I never did care much for the assassins game anyway." He quickly made his way towards the next group he had seen from the air. This time he would be in for a fight as he broke the clearing were they had been camped.

The cries of alarm went out as the first group came across the bodies at the first camp. They quickly raced back to the man in charge of this little motley area. Loken rose up out of his bed and grabbed his ornate cutlass form the wall of his room. He was still dressed form the waste down and quickly stuck his feet in his old pirate boots. They were not orginaly his but they were now. They had belonged to the Captain of the pirate crew he took over after killing said man.

Loken grabbed a ragged looking man as he was running by his door. "What the hell is going on and why is it so early in the damn morning?" The man began to stutter apology after apology before answering the terrifying man. "Sorry.....master Loken but there has been an attack on two of our camps this morning already. We are not sure who or what it is but the first camp was found as if they had been killed in their sleep." The man finished and waited as Loken took it all in.

He then released the man and looked down at him with his piercing blue eyes. His blond hair seeming to wave for an instant. Then the man suddenly began to spasm in pain and gurgle before his chest exploded in a shower of blood. Though none of it ever touched Loken as it started to swirl around him. "That will teach the lot of you to run around screaming like a bunch of panicked wenches. Now it is going to be much worse for the one that caused this and killed my men."

Loken stormed out onto the deck of his flag ship as it sat anchored to the dock of the small town. He whistled shrilly in the air and a small Falcon landed on his shoulder. Then his crew turned to face him their number currently 19 after he killed the one in the hallway and another ten had been killed at the camps. That left 20 of them on shore leave. "Prepare for an attack and see if you can round up some of the other crews from around here. They come and drink and party but it is time we teach whoever thinks they are going to attack us a lesson. Any that have questions send my way." With that the all cheered at the Captain before running to gather the rest of the crew and issue the orders they had been gathered.

The blood still circled the man as he stood their in his pants and with his chest exposed. He never did care much for a shirt so his skin was tanned and rough from the sea air and being exposed all the time with several scars running in mismatched patterns on his chest and arms. The Falcon on his shoulder tilted its own head before flying off in search of it's prey. I will find them Loken and let you know who or what they are. The Pirate simply nodded he knew that of all of them he could trust the bird most of all.

((Loken is a Summoner/Water Alchemist...He has a Water Dragon Sword for his cutlass, along with a blink ring and a ruby ring. The Falcon is his Familiar and the Sailors are his summoned minions which would have been 50 but have been brought down by 11 to 39....Since I am currently the only one fighting him there should not be an issue He will be an active cahracter of mine once Al is done in Ult any questions feel free to pm me.))

Mr. Captain Man Sir was pacing. Yes, he was pacing. Lucian was called over to help Val and, of course, being the good captain he was, he came to help his first mate. But man... This waiting. Not his thing. He had been cooped up, AVOIDED fights because of the refugees still with them and he was going stir crazy.

Of course, though. Lucian was a master of self control. There was no way he would-- "Alright! Let's go! Val's late. We're gonna waltz right on in there whether he likes it or not."

The sudden call for preparation caught everyone on the ship off guard. Lucian walked in a few small circles while the rest of the crew coming with him sped up the pace. They were taking there time because, well, when Val said he would do something then Val certainly would do it. It wasn't the first time Lucian got impatient though and it wouldn't be the last. Captain's orders...

"Everyone ready?" Lucian inspected the small group going with him. "Knowing our dearly missed first mate... he's gotten himself into more than he could handle. That's why he called us here. If I had to guess,"

He paused and looked to North Cliff and then returned his attention to his crew. "That place is FULL of foul pirates of all sorts. Just the kind of people he don't want around. Now! We will save any innocents, stop the cruelties. We do this in our name. The Golden Line!"

There was a momentary silence and a few mutters, "I thought it was the Golden Stole?..." "Golden Sash?" Confused looks made Lucian sigh and shake his head. "We need to pick a name..."

I thought it was the Golden Lion now? Ah well, whatever. That's not important anyhow. Some say it is bad luck for a ship to sail without a proper name. But for Lucky Jack that mattered little, because he didn't believe in bad luck. Always landing on the good side of a coin would do that to a person. At least we will finally see some action around here. It has been AGES since I have been in a real fight.

Getting restless, Jack wondered aimlessly on the deck of the ship. Being the boarding sergeant did not leave much for him to do aboard, so he was constantly roaming around trying to ease his boredom one way or another. Jack could always do worse in this place, he could have been looking for Lucian and pestering the captain just for fun. Wait! That is a grand idea! Time to look for the cap'n~ With a sly grin on his face, Jack went on his merry way in search of the Lucian. Finally finding the young man, Jack spared no moment to call out to him.

"Hey cap'n! How long until we get there??" Jack was never good with time and distance equations, he always had to resort to bugging his poor captain for the minor details.

The pirates that Valenar had come running into their camp were a bit shocked at what they saw. Val was standing there with his bat wings unfurled and his eyes glowing a nice bright red in the early rays of morning sun. Throw in the fact his blades were covered in blood and he had a bit of a vicious smile one his face. This caused the pirates to hesitate a mistake that half of the group would not have time to register.

Ina blur of blades and shapes Val cut through the first five before the sixth had a chance to put up some semi-balance of defense. He then carved through numbers seven and eight with out much trouble before number nine was able to score a small cut in his trailing cloak. Number ten turned to run and get some help when suddenly a beam of light punched through his chest and he fell over dead after gaping at the hole in his chest.

The shouts of other pirates could then be heard and they were some heading towards were he was standing with the bow drawn. A the rest were running back towards the main town. He figured they might be trying to put together some kind of defense. IT wouldn't be to hard for those to find him as the beam of light he had fired was like a beacon in the current light levels. Instead of standing around and waiting for the next group to be upon him he put the box back over his shoulder.

The dark elf then went dashing off towards the closest group of voices. he didn't notice the Falcon that had come flying towards the light and was now circling overhead watching him.

The pirates went off running as Loken had instructed and gathered together the other crews Captains. There were five in total each of them hardened see dogs and willing to help Loken...for they had seen what he did to the last crew that had stood up to him.

So the all waited in the first floor of the local tavern as Loken came walking in. All of them swallowed hard when they saw the look on his face for he was not happy. He was linked to his Falcon familiar and had seen the carnage. This lone demon had slaughtered five of his men in the blink of an eye and then cut down for more in a few more heartbeats. His men were not your usual push overs yet here this guy was treating them like children.

"I am not sure what it is exactly that this insane fuck is doing but it looks to be like a single being attacking us. I am not sure if he has a death wish or what. The bottom line is I want him dead no one carves through my men like they are practice dummies Understand me." With that last part he slammed his fist into the solid oak table and turned it to splinters.

It was at this point one of his men came running in and shouted. "Sir we have another vessel out in the bay and it doesn't appear to be any Pirate ship....It is the Golden Stole....The pirate hunters." Loken's eyes lit up with recognition as did several of the other Captains. Then the man he had seen had to be the Demon...Bladestorm...it was comon knowledge among most of the pirate crews that there was a crew of pirates that hunted others....they called themselves anti-pirate pirates. It was also common knowledge that the first mate on that crew was a demonic drow that could wipe out an entire crew of sailors in a heart beat.

"Bladestorm......I want his head on a pike. The rest of you go deal with the new comers I want this 'demon' for myself." It all made sense now why he was cutting through even his veteran crew like paper. It was time to see just how good this demon was. None of the other Captains spoke up in objection if Loken wanted the demon elf he was free to have him. They would meet up with the new arrivals and give them a nice welcome.

The small talk continued while Lucian's own thoughts wandered about the name and where it came from. Particularly about the time he spent with the first Golden Sash. Taishar, Fortinbrass, everyone. What they fought for is now what he fought for. That was years ago. He'd been fighting for years... He wasn't quite the youngster that he once was. So strange. Now he was a man. He stayed pure and was not corrupted by the evils in the world.

Then he snapped back to reality as the docks came closer and closer. A question from Jack. Even better! A question he could answer. "Yes! We'll be there soon... It's... right there."

Lucian turned to look again, just to make sure he wasn't crazy. Yep. It hadn't moved. "Yeah... Like... a couple minutes. Then we'll see what kind of crazy trouble Val's gotten himself into."

The captain was ready for the fight he knew was coming. He didn't KNOW it... but he knew it. He didn't have a good feeling either. Something was off about the whole thing. He held his sigh in and turned away from the crew as their ship pushed through the waves.

Jack followed where his captain was looking and saw that the ship was indeed only moments away from making contact with the docks. The boarding sergeant did not feel foolish at not noticing how close they were before asking Lucian, he was like a child restrained in the back seat, excitedly waiting to arrive at their destination. He could already feel his blood pumping in anticipation of the oncoming conflict.

With a smirk on his face, and a hand on the hilt of his saber, Lucky Jack headed towards the bow of the ship.

"Bore up mates! We're in for a real fight here, so go 'head an' find a buddy~ This time around I call ol' capitton as muh partener in crime. Don't forget to count your kills~"((The misspelling was deliberate))

Already ready, with a foot on the figurehead and his blade pointed to the sky, Jack didn't care what anybody thought of him at that moment. He had waited long enough for some excitement, and it had finally came.

They had already made it into their positions and were hiding waiting for there chance to strike. They had climbed aboard the docked ships and made the cannons ready and they had hidden themselves among boxes and in the water.

These guys didn't open with cannon fire they simply sailed up to the dock ignoring everything like they owned the place. This would be there down fall. As soon as they saw the man standing on the figurehead of the ship. It was already to close and to late for any kind of course change. The cannons opened fire and several volleys of arrows raked the sides of the ship along with the upper decks.

Screams were heard and blood was running as the crew was struck the first blow of the fight. Next came several groups of man swinging down from hiding in the masts of the near by ships. It was looking like it was going to be a blood bath and over quick.

Loken on the other hand was at the other end of the town with what remained of his own crew. The call had gone out to return to him and wait for this demon to come to them. His Familiar was watching the Drow as he waited he was starting to close in covered in blood of so many unlucky pirates smugglers and various other fools that had not listened to Loken.

Loken simply Smiled as a few of the stragglers that had tried to put up a fight broke the treeline. They were covered in arterial spray from their friends. They didn't make it ten paces before they were cut down by thin lines of metal that shot from the woods.

The hunting had thinned out it seemed like they were gathering for some kind of defense but he wanted to ferret out any that might try for a pincer attack. Sadly for them Valenar was enraged by this point his hand wrapped firmly around the large two handed katana that had been on his back. His eyes were glowing bright red and there was a smile on his blood plastered face.

The monster was free to hunt these vermin and no one would care. He was always free to slaughter the scum of the world with out fear of being judged...no instead he was praised as a savior for defeating these 'monsters'. The first group he had come across died with a single slash as the blade on the large sword seemed to extend unnaturally and caught them all off guard.

Now he had chased the last remnants back towards what would pass for a port and just as they broke the tree line he split the sword into several long lings of metal each one piercing the heart of his target. Then he saw the gathered defense with the large blond pirate standing there smiling. Val simply smiled and charged out of the woods in a blur and was met by Loken with a blade of water blocking his overhanded chop....

The final showdown had begun......

Then there was mayhem. Blood was spilled and noise was everywhere. The captain didn't expect this. He didn't expect this at all. The good part, though. His crew was already fighting back. Their alchemists doing what they could, gusts of wind there, waves rocking the boat here.

Now Lucian knew his crew could deal with this. One man came at him, screaming and yelling. His big barrel chest promptly had a knife in it, and Lucian's belt was a little lighter. This fight was not expected. Val hadn't come yet. Something was wrong. He needed to go. He looked to Lucia fighting her way through trying to reach him.

"I need to go to Val, something's wrong!" He wasn't sure that she could hear him over the sounds of battle, but he was already gone. Lucian ran full tilt toward's the side of the ship and jumped off, a knife leaving his hand at the same time that found its mark.

When he landed on the dock he rolled to escape most of the damage from the fall and ran towards North Cliff.

The crew would be fine. They could handle this rabble. Then they would come as backup once things were under control in the dock.

"Haha!" Now this is what I was waiting for.

With a glint in his eyes, Lucky Jack spotted his captain already getting his first kill.

Damn! He already got one. I guess I better step it up a notch.

Fighting his way to Lucian, Jack blocked a slash from the left, dogded to the right, jumped over a body and leaped from the rigging to where he last saw the young captain. But when he got there, the captain was already gone. Feeling his rugged hair blowing in the summoned wind, he spotted the youth already on the docks trying to clear a pathway for the rest of the crew to follow.

Not liking the idea of being left behind, the sergeant followed suit and soared into the air towards a pair of ruffians. He landed square on the shoulders of one of them and heard a loud scream as he felt a sickening crack under his feet.

"Whoopsies. Didn' meanta do that."

Deciding to end the poor man's misery, Jack slid his blade across the ruffian's throat and roll out of the way of the blood and the oncoming strike of his victim's partner. Lady Fortune must be on his side today, because the spray of human debris had gotten into the eye (all that was left of the other eye was a patch of skin) of Lucky Jacks next opponent.

Not letting this opportunity pass him by, his saber came down roughly between the neck and left shoulder of the one eyed man. Jack moved quickly out of the way of the blood once more. He did this because he hated cleaning the stuff off of his clothing. Just cleaning it off his saber was already a bother to him, but his clothes as well? He barely showered as it was, he didn't need to make it worse by adding decomposing bodily fluids to the mix.

Seeing fallen bodies surrounding him, Jack sped up to the side of his captain.

"'Oy! What's the hurry? I said I was goin' wit' yuh 'member?" Lucky Jack was only slightly irritated at his superior, but that was to be expected. "Anyways, how many yuh got so far? I got two~"

Jack couldn't help but make a toothy grin while he waited for Lucian's answer.

Two of the crew shoot out away form the boat as the rest were busy fighting for their lives. It was true that this is what they did for a living but usually they were the ones setting the ambush this time it was they who were the prey. As Lucian and Jack shoot out away from the boat several waves of pirates closed in behind and to the front of them. One of them in the lead of the others was running at them shouting in gibberish...That was right before he put the lit stick up to the barrel on his back.

The next moment the world flashed white and there was a loud explosion followed by a concussive force. He hadn't blown himself up as close to the two crew as he would have liked but it was close enough to make a nice big crater and block that path. It might also knock the tow of them on their feet. Either way the other pirates closed in anyway blocking the path forward and backwards for these two. "Alright you two we have waited a long time to take out your bloody crew and you walk right into our own doorsteps. It is time you pay." The pirate that made that comment stepped out directly in front of Lucian and brandished two swords it was clear by the coat and hat that he must be one of the Captains. A second fellow with a big hammer stepped out of the crowd behind them towards Jack pointing a finger at him before running it along his throat. He to seemed to be a Captain of one of the crews.

All the while a single falcon circled the the large battle feeding information to his master. Who at this very moment was in a battle of his own...one that was to close to call.

Loken had launched himself at the Drow the moment he stopped the massive over head chop with a mixture of blood and water. His own attack was to launch his cutlass in a wide midsection arc followed with about a half dozen jets of high pressured water. These jets were aimed all over Val towards arms legs head and midsection. Loken had figured he would go for a quick kill, he was wrong.

Valenar wasn't called Demon or Bladestorm for nothing he was a living storm of metal and anger. The tempest of steel earned his name during the next few moments as a fast paced fight roared between Loken's water and Val's metal. Where ever the water was aimed metal blocked it or deflected it away. Those were then followed by blades of metal and a serious of blows from the drow's large blade. With a matter of seconds Val had scored more then a dozen small wounds on Loken and only taken a couple of his own. Yet the Blond Pirate didn't seem to care and even used the blood pouring form the wounds, several of which should have at least slowed the man down, as more weapons to attack the fast drow with.

Those few pirates that had stood behind Loken were in awe and shock as they watched the blur of motion that continued between the two men....

Boom and then silence. He saw the guy running at them, heard the noise of all the pirates around them. That's when he realized his eyes were closed and he was on his butt. That wasn't the plan... Neither was what he saw when his eyes opened. Surrounded... Him and Jack, a big crater, and a TON of pirates.

He slowly got to his feet. "Hey now, fellas... No need for any violence here, you know. I just... really need to go to the bathroom?"

It wasn't a convincing lie... but it got a few snickers in the crowd. That was something, at least. The snickers ended when a Lucian took a few steps toward the edge of the circle of pirates. "Anyway, guys, I need to go. Gotta save my first mate and all, you know? So, I'd appreciate it if you just..."

about ten feet from the edge of the circle, one of the pirates through a throwing knife at the young captain. Catching it, he twirled around on a heel. "Kay... That wasn't nice."

As he planted both feet back onto the ground he threw the knife back with precision and speed the attacker lacked. It planted itself into his throat. "That's three, Jack, let's go."

A knife appeared in one hand and small pellets in the other as he rushed at the big captain looking man. He was in the way. They were all in the way.

Getting back up after the blast, the boarding sergeant brushed the dust off of himself and shook the deadening silence out of his ears.

That was unnecessary.

"Crazy fuckers ain' they." Jack scoffed, looking at the depression that was made by one idiotic kamikaze.

Using his foot to toss up his saber, Lucky Jack snatched it up out of the air and then saluted, fencing style, in an act of provocation. He wasn't expecting much out of these punks, but he might as well have some fun while he can, right?

It was at this moment that a flicker of steel went passed, and he saw Lucian do a little ballerina spin and catch the knife that was aimed at him. Jack wasn't impressed at all, he had seen his captain perform much more amazing feats then this. With the flick of the wrist, the said knife was out of the young captain's hands and sticking into its owner's jugular.

"That's three, Jack, let's go."

Damn, one more than me. Oh well, there are still plenty to go around.

Completely surrounded by pirates, two stepped out in front of the rest, one of them making an 'I'm going to kill you' gesture towards Jack. He had an obnoxiously large mallet, holding it as if he was compensating for something. Other than that, the pirate looked like he could handle himself, which was no problem for the boarding sergeant of the Golden Line.

"Got a turd stuck in yer throat er somethin'?" Jack couldn't help himself.

The crew were still putting up one hell of a fight on the ship and the two that had gone ahead and been surrounded got up after getting knocked off their feet. The Captain proved to be just as annoying as ever by catching a knife and killing the thrower. Most of the pirates here knew that the man that was the "Captain" wasn't the one to fear the most it had been his first mate. Yet they also knew he seemed to be incredibly lucky or just skilled and played it off as dumb luck....not sure which.

The other one was usually the third one on to a ship and he was a decent fighter but also lucky a bad combo. More then a few blows that should have been fatal seemed to miss their mark. Now these pirates hoped to end their streak one and for all.

The one with the hammer just made a gurgling chuckle as the man commented about shit being caught in his throat. It had been a close encounter with some grape shot that had robbed him of his voice and now he was going to show this loud mouth why he didn't need to talk to be feared. He advanced on the man with the hammer up on his shoulder. As he was about 5 feet from Jack he suddenly whipped the hammer from his shoulder and brought it down in a diagonal smash aimed at Jack's shoulder.

On the other side of the ring where Lucian was the Captain that he was charging slashed his saber in a forward gesture and rolled out of the charging man's way. It was with that motion a wave of bolts knives axes and arrows flew from the surrounding pirates at Lucian. One final icing on the cake was another one of those guys with a barrel was behind the pirate captain and ran towards Lucian before he lit his small powder keg exploding again.

Valenar's anger was rising quickly as he scored more and more wounds on this man and yet he seemed not to care. As more blood poured form the wounds it only gave the man more material to work with. Even the blood pouring from several of the minor wounds he had suffered was being drawn to the man. So Val jumped back away from the man for a moment to sum up the situation through his blood hazed eyes.

Loken just laughed at him "Your not the only Demon on the seas you know. Using metal like it was a fluid is your gift mine is to use blood and water as if they were extensions of my own body. So why don't you just do us both a favor and die already." With that he threw several Dozen more tendrils of high pressured water at Val. He lunged at the man at the same time with his saber dragging along the ground. He was planning to do an upward slash while the drow was distracted and split him from groin to skull.

So much for looking at the situation for a moment. Val's eyes glowed bright red and he launched himself at the charging pirate. He was fast and even though the water was twisting and turning he managed to get inside some of the attacks before he struck. "Jresh" Suddenly the large sword in his hands exploded into hundreds of tiny fragments and swirled around him cutting off and blocking the incoming water attacks. In the same instant his hand outstretched and he shot out several arcs of lighting hitting the water using it as a path way towards the other man.

The water that the Lighting struck and coursed along also suddenly disappeared as it was broken down on a molecular level turning into oxygen and hydrogen atoms. Loken suddenly stopped in his own tracks as the lighting hit him and paralyzed him for a moment stopping his charge and robbing him of more then half his element.

The signal. Nice queue. You know, basically pointing for everyone to be super mature and throw things. Throw ALL the things. The only real thing Lucian could do was, you know, follow suit. The boy captain rolled to the side with the captain and just as he got back onto his feet he pushed off, running full tilt, practically leaving an afterimage behind him.

The explosion blew it away. The real captain, though was out of range of both the blast and the barrage of weapons. Don't show a way out of a problem if you want it to be a problem. Dumb enemies. His knife left his hand and flew at the one giving orders.

"Stop throwing things and be mature!" Lucian yelled at him as he went on, no more attention offered to the saber guy.

His goal was not to kill them all. He wanted to get past. But he saw that Jack may need his help. He wouldn't leave anyone behind. His crew he knew would be fine, but not Jack surrounded like they were. Val would need to hold on a while longer.

Pellets flew out of his hand at the large man and another knife into the large crowd. It was a guaranteed hit in there really. No chance everyone could dodge it and it didn't matter so much who it hit or where.

The man moved quickly, almost faster than Jack could comprehend. He was definitely compensating for something with that huge baton. Jack did not feel like getting whacked with the gurgling pirate's metaphorical dick.

Trying the best that he could to block/dodge the enormous blunt object, Lucky Jack brought his saber up into a guard and leaped to the left. Time slowed to a crawl. The blade couldn't stop it, the hammer just kept on going, straight for Jack's face. It was only a painful hangnail's width from his cheek, when a bright flash overwhelmed his sight.

This is going to hurt.

There was a faint sound of dripping water in his ears.

BOOM!

The immediate area was covered in smoke and the smell of gunpowder. In the spot that Jack had been standing not seconds before, a stray cannonball had hit the ground, flinging Jack out of the way of his impending doom and leaving his opponent to a yet unknown fate.

Getting up, Lucky Jack took a brief moment to check himself. Other than an annoying ring in his right ear and a few scrapes and bruises, he was doing pretty good, given that he was about to eat a face full of mallet not too long ago. He could still hear the battle going on around him through his left ear, so he knew that there was still some fighting to do.

The smoke started to clear gradually and with it Jack saw that, as if by magic, he was only a few strides away from a group of pirates that had been surrounding him and his captain. Somehow they had gotten turned around and given Jack an opportunity to strike.

Sneaking up to the closest pirate, Jack tapped him on the shoulder, and as soon as he turned around, punched him in the face with the bell of his saber.

"Oogah boogah!"

Using the falling pirate as a distraction, Jack then slashed at the other two pirates, one at the neck and the other in the gut.

After his surprise attack, Jack dashed away from the scene, avoiding the blood that was shed and headed in the direction that he felt was towards Lucian.

The Falcon over head shot down like a lightning bolt aimed straight at Valenar's head from above. It skillfully weaved through the swirling mass of metal and water to slash it's talon's across his face. This in turn caused the drow to stop his own charge at the pirate and jump back and to the side. a line of fresh blood pouring down his face from the wound above his eye.

At this point Loken began to recover from the jolt to his system and both men seemed to have the look of bloodlust in their eyes. Loken gathered more water to him even summoning a large wave from the ocean that would wash through the town. He didn't give two shits about the pirates even those in his own crew were replaceable.

As the wave reached him he began to absorb the water into himself turning into a giant water elemental....He intended to just drown the little drow like a rat....

Valenar on the other hand had other ideas. First was he drew his bow from over his shoulder and fired a barrage of arrows at both the bird and closing wall of water. As the arrows left the bow in a blinding hail they turned into beams of light burning away chunks of water and to fast for even the quick little bird to avoid. It was then the the wall of water made a horrible gruttal screaming noise as the charred corpse of the bird fell from the sky. "Anyone for a little fried chicken oh wait I am sorry was that your friend."

Val then tossed the bow aside and charged head long into the wall of water. The lightning blade that his sister had gifted him was clutched in both hands as the shards of metal from his other blades. Then as he was about to hit the water all the metal merged with him and created a single orb.

The wave washed over the orb and then turned around as a large torso. The arms reaching down and grabbing the orb. As each one touched the orb though a wave of electricity coursed over it causing the hand to evaporate. "You know this is futile so why don't you just die little insect. I am the demon of the waves and shall be the one to finally put you to rest." The wall then began to condense itself until it was just a watery outline of the man Loken once was.

IT was at this point the orb pulled back revealing Valenar again. He had used it as a shell to protect himself from the crushing forces of the water. Now was the time to go back on the offensive and as such the metal became six glowing blades of metal that orbited around him. He then charged Loken as the other man did the same thing his arm becoming a large blade of water and blood.

Just as the two were about to collide Valenar spoke to no one that was present "Sorry sister it looks like I won't be able to be around after all...this is for the best." As the man of water and the drow collided the 6 blades that were orbiting wrapped around the two of them locking them inside the orb together.

The orb sat on the ground not moving for several moments as electricity coursed over the surface of it. Then there was a loud explosion that could be heard for miles around followed by a bright flash of light and a rush of wind. Once the smoke, dust and light faded all that was remaining of the area where Val and Loken had been fighting was a large crater with a single sword at the bottom of it.

((ooc:The town was not turned into a crater....just the out skirts plus a few buildings the crew and your guys characters should be safe from the blast....though the wave that came through earlier might have caused some injury or damage to the ship and crew as well as wipe out a large part of the pirates.))

Big wave... "BIG WAVE!" Lucian yelled at the top of his lungs. Granted, his warning didn't do much for anyone. Including himself. Everyone was swept into the mass of water and carried.

It seemed like an eternity. Swirling around in the water, other bumping into him who were dead or drowning. He, luckily, had spent enough time falling of his boat to be able to hold his breath for a long while. He was also quite a strong swimmer. There was no point in fighting this, though. He just went with the flow and eventually, land met face.

The water spit him out and his mouth got filled with nasty mud and grass. He looked around. Lots of dead pirates. No Jack to be seen. Not yet anyway. He glanced to the docks to see if his ship had survived and was happy to see that the damage wasn't too bad. They weren't beached like one of the pirate ships either. Awesome. A moment of victory before the explosion.

Everything died once he heard the noise. The wave puttered out. The death stopped. The captain was knocked off his feet. When he stood up he immediately ran to the epicenter. The crater. He looked into it and saw only a sword. The sword of his first mate and best friend. His mind went blank. When he heard that noise... Life ended.

There was water. That is all to it. That is all that Jacob could see, hear, feel, taste. He was completely surrounded by it. It pounded at him with a barrage of blows.

Drip drop

All of a sudden the water stopped moving. It began to swirl around him, producing a bubble. Dead bodies and random pieces of broken ship orbited the the bubble, caught up in the current that it was making. Reaching maximum centrifugal force, the ball of water shot out of the ocean. This all happened in a matter of seconds after the wave hit.

Contained in the bubble floating in the air, Jack was on the fringes of consciousness. As if lead by his own subconscious mind, the orb slowly fell, gliding to the spot where the once First Mate used to be. Setting itself opposite of Lucian, the globe of liquid remained for a few moments. Just then, it popped, all of the water flying upwards, and then back down like rain fall.

Amongst the waterfall stood Jack, staring at the sword that had been Valenar's. Memories flooded his mind, not unlike the wave that had just hit him. Memories of their many duels. Memories of the petty arguments that they had. Memories of their companionship.

Some how he had know what had happened to his comrade. But it was not until this moment, the moment that he was gone, that what Jacob had truly felt about Val finally sunk in.

Hidden within the falling water, tears flowed forth from the eyes of the man they called "Lucky".
