"I'm going to be running this company myself within a month. She's going to get mauled."It was an inward thought, one that would be wasted on this woman who was turning out to be quite the fool. If she wanted to try and play big shot and force her hand with some of the city leaders, Roush would not be there to pull her ass out of the fire. "Whatever you say." He chuckled as he was interrupted by two of the men he had sent out to clean up the city. "It seems my boys have cleared out the major den's of iniquity. If I were you, I'd get over to the old HQ. I have a few people there who have shooed most of the rift raft away and began to change the signs. By morning, the name Senya will be plastered across this entire city. I'll have a few people start the trip to find contractors. We'll get this moving now. If you don't mind, I think I'm going to claim the old jail. Try to get some of the old system's back up and running." Roush stood up motioning to the door. "I think it's time for us to leave this bar, my new business partner. I'll start turning over information on potential business deals to you in the morning as well as plans for the rebuilding of the city and allocation of funds. Tonight, you should take your place as head of the city, though. Enjoy this first victory. It is only the beginning." Then to his men. "Naga, wonderful job. Put this on." He threw what was initially an arm band, but could be altered to be nearly anything. Roush's was inscribed on the front of his armor, offset to the left, like a badge. "As far as anyone is concerned, my name is Alexander Phoenix. I don't want any old enemies looking for me here. Anyway, that is your new badge, granting you authority to protect Senya property and personnel with the use of reasonable force. In other words, use your head. Armin, I can offer you a job as well. Naga could use a partner, I'm sure. If you turn down permanent employment as a Senya guard, it's fine. I'll still pay you for the night and you're welcome to come back at any time to fill any position here, be it deckhand or guard, since I know you can handle yourself." The first thing the alchemist went for after entering the bar, was the lone drink he left on the counter. Before this assignment, he had barely drank any of it. Now, he couldn't get enough of it. After hitting the bottom of the glass, he slammed it back on to the counter and demanded another.
Armin wasn't quite sure what he was feeling. He didn't know whether he was happy or angry at the events that took place that night. He didn't particularly enjoy ending lives, but at the same time those who did deserved what they got. The alchemist was changing, how is it possible that any moral man live in an immoral world? The environment has the ability to change its people, but... can the people change the environment?
He was lost in thought, but after finishing his second drink quite rapidly, he snapped out of it. Armin returned his attention to Roush, Naga, and the strange reptilian lady he didn't know. He sighed loudly when Roush addressed him with the job offer.
"Well, I haven't had a place to call home in awhile. I don't mind staying in Galam, plus I have to see through that you guys get all the help you need putting this place back together."
He chuckled a little bit, when he turned to Naga who was standing next to him now.
"Plus, who else is gonna watch this guy's back!?" He continued to laugh a bit more, and then smiled.

She was getting annoyed. Everyone seemed to think that being nice was what solved everything. Why was it that when action was needed, no one was willing to step up and take the damn action? It never made any sense to her. On top of that, people wonder why nothing ever gets done.
It's because everyone sits on their asses whining that someone wasn't super nice to them or didn't get them a gift for their birthday.
She wondered how much she gave a damn to have to be nice to someone. Being nice was like death for her. Most people did not need nice, especially a leader of a city. While she didn't know this new leader of Ultimatum she was skeptical. Most of the leaders she had seen did nothing for their cities. They sat on their asses and did nothing, letting their people fall to shit. Typical actions for people in power, but none the less it pissed her off.
One of Roush's companions spoke up. Apparently even hired hands thought this way about being nice. Interesting concept since they are just supposed to do their job without question. What did they do now? Have tea and discuss ways to get the job done with their target.
Makes it less painful no doubt. Rather than seeing your target die, watching them suffer, seeing the terror in their eyes; everyone wants it quick and painless. Painless ha! What do they know of pain?
"Look, I've considered your words and I thank you for cleaning up this city. I will note my actions before coming into contact with these leaders you speak of. Hopefully no blood will need to be shed in the attempt to rebuild this city and house these refugees."
Watching Roush made way for the door, she thanked his hired friends once again and made way for the door. As she walked out she sent a message to Roush, unsure of how she felt about his companions.
We must meet with Leopold, soon, very soon. I will let you know when.
With her message sent to him alone, she made way for her place. This night was going to be calm, but tomorrow the storm could only just begin.
