Who can fight? Any and everyone. BRING IT ON! I'll be using a.....experimental character idea. Where? The first entrant may choose the area. Limitations? None. Meru Lacross- Weapons: Great Sword,Battle Axe(Skinned as a mace and a skull shield which is merged with her armor. Power Gauntlets. Race-Dullahan(It's debatable as to whether dullahans are undead or demons) Appearance- Since meru has become a dullahan her hair has lost some of it's sheen, now a blue/black. Her eyes are still the same blue they were before however, her head actually isn't connected to her body so it is held in place by bandages to allow her to move around normally without alarming the people around her. In her dullahan form Meru is mostly encased in black armor but has no helmet. The black armor radiates dark energy in the form of a black smoke and enhances her dark magic power(as provided by the skull shield) her mace is kept at her side, and the greatsword on her back or in hand. Warrior/Dark Mage Sharp Reflexes,Night Fighter, Aura Blast, Shadow Empowerment, Shadow Switch, Combat Medic,Acclimation,Diffusion Wave Disease,Bio,Acid, Manipulate, Famine,Darkness,Animate, Maelstrom, Unholy Armor (I think that covers all the basics if you have questions......ask.)

Works for me. I'll lead off. This setting should work pretty well actually. Excuse the overly long first post. I just had some things I wanted to work through with her first before I toss her into a fight. Kinda trying to feel out how I should rp her and get a feel for her so this post kinda dragged on.
EDIT: That actually was a bit shorter than a thought.....still a long-ish post though.
She awoke early, her eyes slowly opening and then squinting as they adjusted to the fading light of twilight. She sat up and tried to remember where she was, and how she'd got there. Yet drew a blank, wasn't she supposed to be dead? That she did remember. Vaugely....but it was fuzzy so very fuzzy. She also felt......wet? The sound of waves filled her ears and she realized she was laying on a beach water was rushing up the beach and lapping at her skin.
Her body felt strange, something coursed through her that hadn't before, and even though she had only just awoken she already knew she was different than she had been before. "Is this his doing?" She wondered meaning the only man she could think of who had the power to raise the dead and might care to raise her specifically. But the man's absence from her presence suggested otherwise. Reikon would never have left her alone if he had been the one to raise her. So....Someone else then.....Or something.
As she rose Meru took stock of her clothing and gear. She assumed she would've been in either her old clothes or her battle gear. Instead she found herself in unfamiliar clothes she never would have worn. All entirely black, and the fabric, if it was fabric, had a unnatural sheen to it. Her upper body was covered with what was essentially a black bikini top and some kind of skull was attached to it acting as the clasp. "What in the name of the divine....?" She asked no one reached up to touch the fabric her hand brushed against the skull and it gave her a chill. She was clad from the waist down by what appeared to be a very shiny pair of black pants, leather or something she guessed but the way it hugged her thighs made her uncomfortable the attire certainly wasn't the modest sort of outfit she'd normally have worn.
In front of her a great sword was stuck fast into the ground, next to it she spotted the only piece of equipment that looked familiar. It appeared to be one of her old maces. However much time had passed hadn't dulled it's beauty and she quickly picked it up, it's holy blessings had waned over time and she didn't feel much from the weapon anymore, but at least it was familiar. The sword she did not recognize, but whoever had brought her back clearly intended for her to use it.
The thought seemed ludacris, the sword was almost as large as she was. Now she had been a fighter in her day but she had always used weapons appropriate for her size. This was too much. Yet she felt compelled to at least try to lift the thing, and see whether she could handle it. Maybe she could trade it off or something if she couldn't use it. But when she tugged on it with both hands she found it came up easily. "What....?" She was confused, the sword was large but it felt light in her hands. Was it some miraculous trick of fine craftsmen? Perhaps some enchantment made it light? Or......She looked down at herself and then at the sword. "So this is the strength of one who has risen from the dead?" She decided to test herself a bit, and soon discovered she could even wield the sword large with one hand. The blade was black, and had a gold detailing along the hilt and guard. A rune was etched into it and when she grasped it she felt some sense of completion. Like a part she hadn't known was missing had just been found.
The skull on her chest's eyes lit up as she grasped the weapon and the 'fabric' of her clothes rippled in response. "I see...so this is some part of the set?" The old Meru would have thrown the sword away right then and there recognizing it as something dark. But she knew now that she was something dark. She could tell just by how right this felt, despite her instincts telling her it was wrong.
"Wait....if I am some kind of undead...." She said to herself realization dawning on her finally. "What in the world will I eat?" She knew there was no way she could bring herself to hunt people. Not the way the creatures she'd spent her life destroying had. She would need to establish rules for herself and quickly. Preferably before hunger started influencing her thinking.
Who was ok to kill and who wasn't? It was a question she wasn't sure how to answer. Before it had been easy, monsters had been just that. Monsters to be destroyed because they had no other desire than to consume. But now she was the monster. Oh the irony, she only hoped that no one from the order would ever see her in this form. Well, that was unlikely, she was almost certain they were all dead by now. Few had been left when she was alive anyway.
At the moment though people seemed to be a minor concern......there really wasn't much out here, where exactly was she anyway?

Meru found herself walking, along the beach, sword in one hand and her mace in the other. What to do? Where to go? There wasn't really an answer, it occurred to her as she looked down at her weapons that with whatever changes she had gone through her powers might also have changed. No...rather they certainly must have changed.
With the amount of dark energy she could feel coursing inside herself she was certain casting light magic would be nearly impossible for her now or at the very least quite painful. The question was could she still heal? She stopped and concentrated trying to conjure the healing magic she once had commanded with near absolute mastery but now trickled out like a leaky faucet in comparison to the power she had previously been able to conjure.
More importantly it felt....wrong. Surging through her the healing magic sought out damage in her body she might not have been aware of yet conflicted with the darkness in her body and fizzled before reaching the desired potency. So...she could still heal just not much and even more backwards was that the magic felt like it didn't belong. Yet she refused to rely entirely on the powers of darkness, refused to give in to her fate and this 'new' body without at least trying to defy it's nature.
That was when something in her changed, she sensed something....someone and her body was acting on it's own. The skull glowed again and the black substance that was making up her clothes shifted actively moving and swirling as a cloud then setting into the form of black armor. The Skull formed the center of the chestplate, the rest of it resembled a black version of her old armor. Heavy plate, each piece as dark as ebony but lined with a golden detailing and violet runes. Places had also formed for storing her weapons, which seemed odd to Meru, how did the armor know what to provide for?
Despite the shift she noticed she didn't feel much heavier than before, and reasoned the armor was either composed of some kind of magic, or some strange aspect of her new body she did not yet understand. What she did understand though was that some part of her perceived something was nearby, something potentially dangerous and had reacted accordingly.
It reminded her of how her rune blade had sensed creatures of darkness. Perhaps this was the opposite? She tensed, was something coming to destroy her already? Perhaps whoever had ressurected her had already been killed and now the slayer was returning for the abomination(her) to finish the job.
Her mind filled with reasons for the armor's activation. As she walked on sound came to her first....Music? She hooked the mace onto a her left side and moved closer with the sword in hand. Finding a man apparently sitting out here playing a guitar was the last thing Meru had expected.
He hardly seemed threatening but she knew full well appearances could be deceiving. "Who are you?"

Naga sighed as he stopped playing with the guitar and stood up stretching, his clothes were still soaked as he turned to face whoever had just demanded to know who he was. Naga honestly was surprised by the fact that on a wasteland like this there was a woman fully clothed in heavy armor with a rather frightening looking sword in her hand demanding a name out of him. Naga looked at the woman with an estranged look as he eyed the woman honestly Naga was not feeling up to answering this woman especially with the threat of her and her sword coming anywhere near him, but oddly enough he was able to let a rather sarcastic answer slip from his mouth, "I'm prince fucking charming come to sweet you off your feet and take you away to a land of rainbows, castles, and beautiful land where you can rule as a queen...." Naga stopped as he took a step back, "Who the hell do you think i am? The Grim Reaper come to rip out your soul and drag it to hell?"
Honestly Naga didn't mean for it come off like he was being a total bastard, but it may have come off that way and he really wasn't going to apologize for it as he continued his odd sounding verbal assault if you could call it that as he it was directed towards this strange Y'wi woman, "You know it's also rude to hold a weapon towards someone when your having a conversation it's like me doing this," Naga quickly put his Guitar away and as quickly as it was gone his Bow replaced it, an arrow in the notch aimed for the woman's eye.
"Now tell me do you not feel a bit intimidated by the fact i have a weapon pointed at you at such close range where this little projectile could go through your fucking head." Naga said his anger now present for reasons he might not entirely be sure about, but he knew two things one that he was soaking wet, pissed at himself and currently annoyed at this woman.
The second reason... well maybe the fourth reason was that he did not like having a sword pointed at him. Naga's red eyes tried to meet that of the woman's as he stared at her. "Now my turn Who the hell are you..." Naga addressed the woman carefully now his anger subsided for a moment as he tried to calm down he knew this probably wasn't going to end well at all.

Meru was taken aback by his demeanor, his words, everything. It was all like a proverbial slap in the face, more importantly though he was threatening her...or trying to. "I see, from your manner of speech and lack of respect, you're some sort of barbarian or perhaps a beggar?" She replied with almost a hint of pity in her voice. "I assure you it would not matter whether this sword was in my hand or not simply put it's less trouble to carry it in hand than it is to stow it. As for feeling threatened-" She paused catching herself before she stated her old title....she was not that person anymore and who would believe her now anyway? Looking as she did? "I can certainly handle myself against one man. So no I do not feel threatened."
She didn't sound the least bit agitated but as he raised his bow she felt the urge to kill him surge in her, the instinct of her new body welling up but she pushed the urge back down to the deeper recesses of her mind, he wasn't exactly friendly but he was the only person she'd seen so far and she needed directions to a town. But she hadn't put aside the possibility he was crazy enough to try attacking her. "If you fire that shot, I promise you that you will regret it."

(Yes Yes I am. Meru's a pretty passive/defensive character. Her 'old' self would've been one of those uptight paladins or something, so her being what she is now and adjusting to it means she still has that mentality.....she hasn't quite accepted the bloody nature of her 'new' self.....at least that's the way I seem to be rp'ing her....didn't really plan on that it just 'happened'.)
Meru's calm demeanor didn't falter for a moment, as Naga replied she kept track of his movements. His pride filled rhetoric was almost amusing to her, but he really didn't look like much out in the middle of nowhere, and his lack of tact irritated her. In her day he'd have been dead already for such disrespect.
Then he made the greatest error of all. He turned and fired on her. Meru's reflexes were so enhanced she could've easily deflected the arrows with her great sword, but she'd already had a better idea. As he fired both she and he were enveloped in darkness for a split second and then it receeded, but when it did the two of them had switched positions, putting Naga in the path of his own arrows. This was what she'd meant earlier. "I told you....you'd regret shooting." She said absently as she turned around. "Now I'd suggest you stand down, you're outmatched." She was still using that same superior tone, like she was nobility speaking to some peasant. Part of her noted his stated occupation, assassins wouldn't be missed by anyone and he certainly wasn't an innocent. How fortunate that he should be her first encounter. "If you insist on fighting it's unlikely you'll survive.....with those skills." She added the barb without even a thought. It was unlike her to add such an insult unnecessarily....perhaps part of her wanted to fight. No there wasn't really any question about that. The question was whether or not that part could be controlled.

Meru watched his reaction, his minor wounds certainly weren't going to do anything but aggrivate him and sure enough there he went, forming armor out of bone. She felt something urging her to attack while he did but hesitated, and that was when he fired another attack. Had she the time to curse she would have, at herself, for hesitating to strike him down. Instead she charged forward directly into the attack letting her chestplate take the beam, the skull's blazing eyes on her chest seemed to burn brighter as she charged the black energy around her armor had formed a barrier and the armor withstood the attack without much complaint. In response to his attack however she swung her blade and as she did her eyes flashed black, a spell conjured by instinct rather than concious thought, "Famine." the dark curse would rob Naga of his physical strength, and simultaneously force him to endure the feeling of extreme starvation.
One might've noticed she'd stopped talking, Meru was now essentially moving more on her new body's instinct than concious effort. She was still in there somewhere but it was like someone else has taken over for the time being. (Note:She used unholy armor to block the spell. Though it wasn't very obvious.)

He avoided her strike by only the tiniest of margins, and she was about to shift her grip to change the angle of her strike when his spell hit her. Oh that was a mistake.
Meru's mind was enough of a mess as it was, held together by her intense training as a paladin in life, she was able to adapt and cast aside that which was irrelevant to her situation and focus only on the immediate needs. But the madness spell took that away from her, forced her to face her situation and her fears that were beneath the surface. He had no idea what he had done to her or what he had just unleashed on himself.
"You.....What.....have you done?" She could feel her body slipping away from her, control...she was losing control. That was Meru's worst fear now. Being a prisoner in her own body, as it wreaked havoc watching but not in control, and now it was happening. All because of some whelp.
One of her hands shot out swatting aside his blade, it dug into one of the gaps in her armor anyway but in her current state it didn't matter, pain, could not stop her, though she could feel the blade she could no longer move her own limbs, or at least, she believed she couldn't. The madness spell had given the dark instinct of her body control and trapped meru as she conciously watched her body move on it's own, her nightmare brought to reality. She didn't stop there either, her body moved with malice, she felt the tingle of dark energy coursing through her as a shadow lance formed over her now wounded arm it's point jutting towards Naga's shoulder. Her other arm swung the greatsword again with just the one hand, her body apparently intended to pin him with the spear and slice him in half with the sword.
"Run!" She warned him "I can't....I can't control it anymore." She didn't want to kill, not like this. Not when she wasn't the one making the decision.

(Sorry for the delay been slightly busy)
Naga stood up now as he watch his aim miss, "Shit thats twice now i've missed.." Naga said as he slid his hand down his leg picking up his second dagger and holding it he felt that his strength wasn't truly back, but he felt that it was a bit better then what he had been earlier. "God dammit.." Naga said as he stared at the girl not understanding truly what was going on now with her shee seemed to be freaking, yet she was still moving strangely as he watched her carefully her movements then before he knew it... She spoke, as if genuinely afraid it threw him off and in that second he was stabbed by the lance of shadow she had made as it pierced through his shoulder making him wince in pain.
What came next though made Naga scream in pain, he had seen her blade coming in an attempt to stop it he quickly grabbed for the guitar only to watch as it was cut in half. Naga's body tried lurching backwards in an attempt to avoid taking a mortal wound from the blade as he felt the blade meet the armor around his chest and felt it split away as the large blade slashed a part of his chest. Naga eye's could only widen as he felt the pain, the dark energy fading from around his chest the armor useless now as he looked down at his chest his shirt seemed soaked, a large gash cut it in half however his body suffered a brunt of this as well as a deep gash, cut, or even hole if you will was now visible leading from right below his shoulder to close to his belly button was seeping red liquid as he fell to his knees head downcast as his hand went to a part of the cut now on his body the blood dripping out from the deep wound onto his hand and pooling on the ground around him his breath was labored as he laughed while coughing and crying. All Naga could feel was a cold sensation
"Funny..." Naga said as he looked up to look at Meru, "I think i called that this would happen once, killed by a pretty Y'wi gal..." Naga seeped a little lower, "hey.. if it's... no-t.. not to late to ask mind giving me your name... Shit!" Naga felt his chest the pain hurt so much he felt more and more as he felt the odd sensation of being cold and his vision fading... "I'm Naga... by the way..." Naga winced as he stared at the ground placing his other hand on it to stable himself. Naga couldn't look up as the pain was now becoming unbearable, "S-shit... looks like my temper got the best of me this time... Sorry... i feel pathetic right now." Naga coughed again there was now a pool of blood around his legs he couldn't believe that he was going to die... that was such......
Bullshit. Naga thought as his arm gave way and he fell onto his back now he was smiling a little bit now, but he wondered why then he remembered a joke and realized why.
(Victory to Darshe! That and i couldn't think of a way to dodge the sword because i planned on him taking the shadow lance to the shoulder.... so you get dramatic near death Naga do to him what you wish except murder him outright unless death doesn't count here if it doesn't then feel free hehe Dh is evil to his characters xD If you want to keep testing out Meru let me know.)
