Title: The slaughter

Ezekiel - September 16, 2006 12:47 AM (GMT)
The screams of terror were music to Ezekiel as he burned his way toward the Temple of the Brothers, Demons leapt into the air, only to be brought down by one of Ezekiel's spells. Several demons smashed on the ground, their bodies turned to blue crystal. FrostMourne slashed through the bodies of those who couldn't fly, the sounds of cracking bone and burning flesh was enough to make a human gagged. Blood rained down from the sky as Ezekiel picked up a demon, his dark gauntlets cracking the neck of the pitiful demon as it tried to struggle.

"Tell me where they are" hissed Ezekiel, his dark helm enough to make the demon whimper in fear. No horns, no dark visage. Only the power that Ezekiel weilded. True Shadow Armour, forged in the Shadow Realm by Ezekiel himself, imitation armour such as Marius' paled in comparison to his own dark armour. "I know nothing, I am only a lowly demon" cried the demon, his life force extinguished as Ezekiel snapped the creatures neck. Beserker Demons charged toward Ezekiel, their huge weapons raised as they ran toward him, all six of them died before they reached him, their bodies crushed by their own armour.

Blood squirted on the ground, huge torrents of it ran down the steps of the temple as Ezekiel walked up them, the demon honour guards slaughtered where they stood, no one was safe as Ezekiel slowly entered the temple, the fires of hell burned all around him, ice covered the ground where he stood, none could stand up against Ezekiel as he murdered demons as they tried to flee. A lone demon stood at the altar, a crude sacrifical dagger in his hand. "Why have you come here vampire" growled the demon, more demons appeared around him. None of the weaker fools, only true demons, demons of the pit. Fallen angels flew in the air, Pit lords, Dread Lords and Mannoroths. There were enough to make Ezekiel have a proper fight on his hands, but with all the blood he had spilt they would find themselves fighting more then just a vampiric guise.

"Vampire is a very callause word to use demon. I'm the darkness in you all, your master's might be the fire but I know what lies in your soul. I am the lord of nightmares and darkness and this shattered plane is not enough to stop me when I wish it." snarled Ezekiel, a brief image of his true form flashed into view on the walls around the demons before returning to normal. "Now tell me where the sleepers are!"

Destiny - September 19, 2006 07:05 PM (GMT)
Ryden landed outside of the temple, where Ezekiel had already caused quite a commotion, making the demons all the more weary of the newcomer. There were a select few however that either weren’t around for when Ezekiel arrived, or felt the need to show everyone else that this angelic creature clad in armour was no as tough as he looked. A group of 5 or 6 demons charged at Ryden as he began to make his way towards the doors of the temple, waving and swinging an assortment of crude weapons, mostly meant for crushing, flattening and impaling. They were hardly precision weapons and the ones which had blades would have been barely sharp enough to cut through material. Still, they did the job, the demons relying on brute force rather then tactics, though in this case neither would help them.

As they charged at him Ryden seemed completely uninterested in their pathetic attempt to stop him. As they drew within a few meters of him he simple extended his arm in front of him, his hand closed into a fist. As he opened his hands a blast of psy energy radiated from his palms, spreading like waves around him. It was a precision attack, the blast would not effect anything other then what he chose, which in this case were the metal objects on the demons themselves. Their armour, weapons and an assortment of other appliances created purely for killing shattered into millions of pieces, the resonance of the psy blast destroying them completely. The demons wielding and wearing said armour and weapons were impaled by the remains of the devices that were supposed to protect them, shredding them into hundreds of tiny pieces.

He was approaching the door of the temple which had been conveniently opened by Ezekiel already. Out of the corner of his eye Ryden spotted a single demon, wielding a spear, clearly uninterested in his obliterated companions, who was charging at Ryden. It would have been a mere waste to dispatch the demon and so he simply carried on walking. Moments later the end of the spear impacted upon his armour, the spear head shattering upon impact and the demon wielding it thrown back a few feet from the recoil of the collision. Ryden was completely unfazed by the collision, his armour not bearing even a single scratch from the spear head. As he made his way inside the temple he erected a psychic barrier by the door, he did not feel like killing more idiotic demons, he had bigger fish to fry. He leant against one of the pillars in the temple as he waited for Ezekiel to finish his interrogation.

"You ask too much creature" growled the demon as the ranks of demons around him and Ezekiel closed in. Mannaroth's snarled as they twirled their glaives, huge Pit lords howled as they raised their weapons. Each demon in the room tensed as Ezekiel smiled behind his cruel helm. A low droning sound filled the air as Ezekiel's sword seemed to glow with dark flames, Ezekiel's cape whipped up into the air as his armour changed, taking on an almost...oily sheen his body became larger, more cruel as he rose to ten feet tall, flames coming from his eyes.

"No demon, I ask all that you can give," said Ezekiel, his voice drowning out the roars of the Pit lords. Huge Shadow hounds, each one as large as the pit lords rose from the billowing cape. Jagged boots cracked the ground as Ezekiel walked toward the demon, Demons ran to get in his path, only to fall short, their bodies limp as the fell and turned to ash before they hit the ground.

"Impossible...you cannot walk in these lands...we are protected" cried the demon, more of his guards lunged toward Ezekiel tried and failed without a single sword blow. "No, you were protected" said Ezekiel, his burning eyes held the demon in it's fiery grip "but Waugriff broke the rules and allowed me entrance long ago, you will tell me. I can see your soul demon, I can see what you wish to hide." Ezekiel's mouth opened slowly, his entire body his armour, his strength and power revealed for the first time as he drained the demon of it's life source, Ezekiel's burning eyes flashing as he crushed the demon's head with a huge boot.

Ezekiel stepped down from the altar slowly, his body returning to normal as he stopped beside the Psychic. "Now you see how far I've gone into the abyss? Maybe next time we can greet each other with respect rather then scorn, I have respect for your powers, respect mine." said Ezekiel, his black robes moving in a non-existent wind as the shadow hounds stood beside Ezekiel, his sword hanging limply from his belt. "The first demon is hidden in a crown of ice...we should find the others...it would be rude of us to keep the hunt to our selves."

Blood God - September 20, 2006 05:09 PM (GMT)
The screams of the damned ripped through the sky as Marius opened a rift through the shadow realm into Akara. Twirling his glaive in the air he decended upon two balors who cracked their wips at lesser demons, trying to urge them on towards Destiny and Ezekiel. Although they were minor demons and wouldnt hassle powers such as his impromtue allies, Marius wasnt going to let them have all the fun. The glaive turned back into a sword as a large sheild formed in Marius's off hand. Plummeting down Marius tucked the large sheild under his knees as it came crashing down upon the first balor, the sounds of bones cracking as the sudden weight of marius in full plate armor came into contact with its head and shoulders. With the sudden strike the balor was pinned under the weight.

Marius lashed out the Soul reaver catching the other demon in the gut. It looked down in disbelief as its own internal organs spilled to the ground, its eyes glazing over as its soul was torn from its body, not allowing it to return to the demon plain, but to be trapped in the sword forever. The demon turned pail and soon dropped to the ground. The minor demons that it was urging fleeing in all directions. The balor under Marius's shield threw Marius off with its great strength. Marius grinned as he allowed it to get back up. Putting the sword away and letting his sheild dissipate in the wind marius raised a hand and urged the demon on. With a crack of its whip it sent the barbed end towards marius.

With the same outstreatched arm marius spured the demon on he gripped the whip and pulled hard, bringing the demon off ballance and towards Marius. With one fist pulled back a sickly green glow took form over the gauntlet as marius brought it to bear into a punch. The demons head exploaded from the shear force of the attack, its brain matter falling to the ground in a shower of blood and flesh. Marius turned to Ezekiel and Destiny.

"So what now?" was all he said in his usually calm voice

Ezekiel - September 23, 2006 08:12 AM (GMT)
"Welll we could charge off, find the demon and be killed. Or we can go back and get some back up and then do the smart thing...such as expose the demon's weakness through mass forces and the such. But then again that would be intelligent and involve explaining to those at Laubholz, what has happened." said Ezekiel as he flicked a flek of dust off his robes. "Which is exactly what I am going to do. I shall see everyone at Laubholz, please don't do anything rash...I would like at least both of you alive" added Ezekiel as he ripped open a portal and stepped through it, his robes fluttering behind him.
