Title: Girls gone wild.

Davina - May 30, 2011 06:12 AM (GMT)
((Okay, couldn't help it, HAD TO BE FUNNY))

Zarafey rose early grinning at her tail, she had shifted into what she considered her puppy form somewhere in the night and had curled up in the middle of the bed. The night before comes more clearly now, the rush down the darkened streets following the Alpha and saying little. Too many shifts plus so much use of energy had left her nearly speechless and her muttered thanks the night before could have been considered rude had she not shifted to her elven form and shown the large male the extreme exhaustion. She had spoken only a word of thanks before he left and she sprawled face first into the bed and passed out.

Jumping to her feet she stretches her arms wide and chuckles, good thing no one was here she had lost her wrap somewhere in the shifting of the night. Moving around the spartan room she admires the heavy furniture but sighs at the lack of information she can glean from shuffling things around. How much more fun snooping could be when there was something to find. It seemed the new Alpha was all military minded all day, which with the words she had heard last night would be good for the pack.

Moving back to the cloak she digs through the folds, finding the broach her mother had given her and the change of clothes before moving to the washtub and wishing blankly for Amber... Woman, you have spoiled me with baths I don't have to warm myself... NO MORE LEAVING ME BATH-LESS!! She grins waiting for the snappy comeback while heating some water and hunting the tub down.

Still drying the heavy length of her hair she steps from the doorway and starts her scan of the area, some of the huts were crude and the people ranged from lycan form to human like forms, opting to stay in her own elven body she allows the blonde hair to glint with silver in the sun light hoping the waist length mass would dry quickly enough. The fires were lit and the people were stirring around making food of some kind, her own stomach rolled in response. Her appetite had been off since the bite and continued to wax and wane.

Turning a quick circle the dark blue robes float around her tiny body as she looks for the familiar forms of either her sister or her brother. There was a part of her mind that had already acknowledged that her allegiance lay with Fenyx and it would take time before she trusted another male. She pokes briefly at Fenyx Hey Mr. Puppy Pants!!! GOOD MORNING. I LOVE YOU!!! She snickers and moves forward in the direction she had seen Fenyx and Amber head the night before.

(Minor edit on what meal was bieng made, I stand corrected.))

Esther - May 31, 2011 03:22 AM (GMT)
In her dream she was surrounded by the dark forest. There was no moon in the sky. Amber could hear her breathing, heavy, and her heartbeat in her ears. She felt scared. Something was hunting her. Something big and scary. She wanted to run, but every direction seemed the same. With great difficulty she remembered that she was a lycan, and she could turn into an almost 7 foot tall wolf with solid jaws and sharp fangs. Nothing could hurt her then. But no matter how hard she tried to trigger the transformation, it just wouldn't come. Panic washed over her. She spun in a circle, looking for her attacker. And then there was a high pitched scream and a growl and a whisper...something about a bath?

Amber jerked her head up in her wake. It took her a few seconds to realize that she was sprawled face down on the bed, right in the center. Blinking sleep out of her yes, she immediately roller to the side, pulling cover with her. She was alone. Last thing she remembered from the night before was taking a bath and then resting on the side of the bed. Amber must have passed out and slept in her robes all night. Whether Fenyx returned or not she didn't know. Usually a light sleeper, that night she could sleep through a meteor shower from exhaustion.

So what was that about a bath? The memory rushed back and she realized it was Zara who woke her up. Trying to sleep here, woman! she grumbled back and rolled off the bed.

Getting up, she washed her face and brushed her hair that seemed to become a tangled mess overnight. Change of attire was needed. She pulled on leggings and threw on a long loose v-check shirt with 3/4 sleeves. Grabbing her slimmer belt, Amber tied a small pouch of money and a slightly larger sack filled with water. There were few things she would need to hunt down today to kickoff her stay at Anur. That, and few people, preferably in the order of Zara, Fenyx, and then Raghnall. Just like her sister, Amber needed a more permanent residence. She felt slightly awkward crashing Fenyx's quarters, whichever way you put it.

Her hair falling around her shoulders, she emerged out of the citadel, standing tall in her human form. There were many campfires scattered at a lower levels, and that's exactly where Amber headed, keeping a keen eye on things and people she needed. Soon enough she started wondering among small tents that offered clothing or food, weapons or simple jewelry.

Davina - May 31, 2011 05:27 PM (GMT)
Zara grins at the grumble of her friends voice, one of these days either Amber or Fenyx would likely kill her in her sleep for her perky morning attitudes... It was rare to see Zara get into a slump and usually only happened when she dealt with her brother. Valenar had walked away from the family home to sail on the ocean but he still kept an iron fist on the colony and had made it a point to remind her that the drow did nothing without his approval. She would gain no help if he decided that he didn't like what was happening, most colonies were run by the females but the family had separated from that lifestyle ages ago.

Smiling fondly she recalls her grandparents and the fight they fought. She wished she had that kind of courage, that she could see that kind of sacrifice and know she could make it... Her grandmother had broken from tradition, marrying a demon and walking away from a lifestyle that would have allowed her countless lovers, children, and perhaps happiness if there was truth to the tales her older sister had told her before she too had abandoned the colony. She had chosen to live the old way and had abandoned everyone in the family including Zara.

Forcing her mind back to her current situation Zara scans the ground again and begins to open her ears. There was talk of war, of battles that would rage and of the lives that would be lost. One boy touted the he would return a great war hero, a male to be sung of around campfires many centuries in the future, the female beside him shooshed him. Smiling blankly Zara gages the boy to be no more than five or so. Scanning around she continues her hunt for her friends and begins to get the feeling that she and Amber have come at a time that will prove critical to the Lycan as a whole.

Marching into battle with so few numbers could prove either very brave or very foolish depending on the Alpha's current plan, not to mention that Zara knew very little about the soldiers that they had on hand... Perhaps there were battalions upon battalions awaiting orders in a nearby town or city, looking at the ground she doubts this to be true. She would love to offer the resources of her own people but she highly doubted that Valenar would be open to the sugestion. After all it would take away from his precious crew. Goddess she hated that boat and the people aboard it, it shamed her a bit to realize there were times she hoped it would simply sink and never return.

Shaking her head briefly she banishes the thoughts, it would do little good to dwell on the negative, especially when things seemed to need someone with a more positive attitude. Poking at Amber she stands still, the taller female would have an easier time finding her. Alright Miss grumpy growls, have you found a place to shop yet??? I know you well enough to know if there are things to be bought you will have found them! Also, it is possible that I am lost even without you here to get me that way...

Esther - June 1, 2011 01:31 AM (GMT)
I sure have Amber replied, cheerfully, studying a bracelet on her wrist. It was made out of silver with a single gem stone. That was by far the most elegant thing Amber's seen in the last 20 minutes of studying jewelry tents. Perhaps if she got two of those, Zara would have a matching one. It could be a little present for her sister on their first day at their new home. Or at least she hoped it was her new home. Amber by far wasn't comfortable with her new abilities, but in the daylight this city seemed a lot more friendly and a lot more normal. It still didn't come close to standards of living she was used to, but Amber had a highly adaptable personality.

That certainly didn't meant that she would tolerate anything she didn't like, given a choice. Hell, if there was a cure for being a lycan, she would be on her way to it. But here she didn't have a choice; something Amber wasn't use to. It made her think back to her dream, in which she couldn't turn. Perhaps her rebellion was rooted much deeper, somewhere on a subconscious level. But last time she checked, flipping back and forth between her human and werewolf forms wasn't a problem when she was awake.

"I'll take two, please," she said to a small woman. The merchant asked which color gems did Amber want. "One blue, and one green, please."

Packing away the bracelets after paying for them, Amber turned her attention to the rest of the area, looking for Zara. There were many people in their native forms, yet there were plenty of lycans wondering around as well. It was a bit hard to see, but it seemed that white hair wasn't in abundance. So long as Zara stayed as elf, Amber would have a harder time hunting her down. If Zara could also be over 6 feet tall, that would help. A white lycan, on the other hand, was a lot more visible.

What are you wearing? Amber asked. I'm somewhere on a town square, in the area of jewelry. Come by here. Unfortunately, Amber was wearing beige and brown colored clothing, which blended in with the crowd, but she was taller than Zara.

Davina - June 2, 2011 04:20 AM (GMT)
Zarafey looked around and again wishes she was like 6 inches taller, 4'10 was ridiculously short. Shaking her head as she catches Amber's voice she morphs into her puppy form and lifts her nose to the air. Amber had a unique scent, like water in woods at twilight, earthy, soft with just a hint of a darkness to it. Happy to smell that her friend was indeed nearby she grins at the robes currently hanging without a body and uses her mind to keep them off the ground while she lopes through the crowds hunting her friend.

Grinning to herself she crouches down and slithers to her friend from behind then does the ultimate no no and makes like she is sniffing Ambers butt. Trying not to chuckle out loud she morphs again this time using her mind to shift herself into the robes. "Well, love, I have good news and I have bad news... The good news is you do not have worms, bad news is I cannot guarantee that will not stay that way!!!

Zara shakes her hair back to look more closely at the table and grins at the sparkles. "Do you think I should have mom send me my crown collection?

Esther - June 6, 2011 02:29 AM (GMT)
Amber almost jumped when she felt something brush against her from the back. She whirled around just to have her eyes land on Zara in her wolf form. Brunette almost rolled her eyes, and then made a face at her friend.

"I can assure you, Zara, that it will stay that way," Amber said confidently. "And I highly advise you keep it that way too, dear." Hygiene was of the utmost importance to Amber. She's been brought up in a household that kept to some rigid regulations. At times Amber seriously did feel like she lived on an army base with strict rules and set-in-stone schedule. Although at that time she hated almost every minutes of it, today she had to admit she was partially grateful for having such tough upbringing. It made her, in a way, a better and stronger person.

And Zara came from royalty, so she also wasn't a stranger to a bath, for starters.

"I don't see a point," Amber said after a short contemplation. "It'll just collect dust on your shelves here. For now anyways."

She grabbed her friend by the sleeve of her robe and started pulling her from that the tent towards another, that was lined with scarves, gloves and hats.

"Whatcha think about this one?" Amber asked, wrapping a brown scarf, outlined by a thin beige line and dotted by semi-sparkly beige dots. "Yay or nay?"

Davina - June 6, 2011 04:09 AM (GMT)
Zara grins, "Perhaps if I had been wearing the 3ft tall monstrosity that my grandfather gifted me, you know the one with giant flowers made in rose gold? Then the Alpha wouldn't have missed me! The dimples wink in and out of her cheeks at her own private joke, she was well aware that she could be easily missed somedays, hers wasn't a face that stopped the males in their tracks, not that she wasn't pretty enough but hers was a more quiet beauty, one that took a few moments to register.

The dark grey eyes flickered for a moment with what might have been saddness before focusing on her sister. The stunning woman stood bathed in sunlight that brought the darkest fire to the long tumble of her hair and the bright blue eyes that shifted with her form were currently slightly narrowed as she studied the fabric in her hands. Amber could stop males, Zara had seen it herself and sometimes she wondered what it would be like to be that stunning without the snobbery that seemed to accompany it. A brief mental shake brought her back to the fabric and she frowned before looking at the table and choosing a sheer fabric in the color of the brightest sapphire shot through with silver. Zara whips her sister in a quick circle winding the fabric in and out of the dark fire and around the crown of her head before spinning her again and studying the results nods.

"No browns, only jewel tones or perhaps bright whites or the purest blacks, you try too hard to hide what shines through no matter the color palate." tilting her head she smiles softly showing a side rarely seen the eyes that study Amber going the color of morning fog before she speaks softly so that only Amber can catch the quiet pure notes of Zara's voice. "I am blessed to know such a beautiful person, both inside and out, and honored to call you sister both in heart and in the pack. touching her fingers to Ambers nose briefly she whirls in a circle to break the sobriety of the moment.

"Besides, perhaps Ill actually wear one... May help with my height issues! Now, lets shop, I feel like I could use some new robes or something. Putting money into the people here will help the growth. Raised as a pricess she was well aware that one had to spread money around in all area's for a population to thrive. Merchants needed noble money to continue to produce product that would feed everyone from the royalty to the peasant.

Silvermoon - June 6, 2011 05:36 PM (GMT)
So this is what the hell Silver had done. For letting himself disappear on the pack like the fabled Fenyx he had let some dumb ass wolf with something to prove take over. The wolf was proclaiming himself the title "Alpha". No wolf was alpha. No one could be Alpha. Not till the Aesir had felt the sharp and cold blade of his swords and Luthe laid dead at his feet. But now some new fucking brute was running the show but Silver would not challenge him. Not yet. He'd let that wolf dig his own grave then he would put him in it. For now Silver would laid low and just live life as one of the wolves of Anur as he always wanted.

Right now he walked in an outdoor market, the weather was right for such a thing. Silver wore his armor, he never took it off now it seemed. Only to wash it but other then that there was no point and it ran the risk of being spotted if he showed his face. On his head was a battle helmet that covered everything but his lower jaw. It hid his facial features well, it even cast a good enough shadow to hide his clear blue eyes. The one thing that seemed to always mark him as an outsider here.

His armor was the stand recon issue. Light leather with strips bronze (or was it steel?) inlaid in the lower legs and fore arms for added protection. Either way he hid his officer attire away in a chest buried outside the walls. None could know him as Silvermoon "Beta Wolf". Walking through the farmer's market he smiled at the smells and the calm life he saw at hand. The Lycans could be possibly thriving again. Hopefully his target wouldn't fuck up anything too bad before he ran him through for his transgressions. However something caught his eye. A pair of femmes. Beautiful were they and it made his tail straighten a little. With a hidden smile he turned course for them. He was single and no one knew him. Time to have a little fun.

"I'm sorry miladies but I must ask you to hand over your things. You match the descriptions of a pair of rogues who have been stealing from this fine market. I need your names and I also need to search you both for stolen belongings" He spoke officially. His voice authoritative and a hand rested on his blade, ready for a fight.

Esther - June 6, 2011 10:03 PM (GMT)
Amber glanced back at the fabric. In her mind she almost whined that she like earthy tones. They softened her features, which at times were in high contrast of black hair to fair skin to bright blue eyes in sunlight. But Zara did have some truth in her statement that Amber was almost hiding behind them. The girl definitely knew how to use her looks to her advantage. As part of her grooming, her grandmother always told Amber that she was a pretty girl that would one day grow up to be a beautiful woman. Amber was always skeptical of that, thinking that perhaps old bat was just trying to boost Amber's confidence, but the girl got lucky. She was out to use her looks to her advantage to gain favors and to get ahead, without disrespecting their family, of course. Amber mentally rolled her eyes at that statement. Granny almost made it sound like Amber was always behaving inappropriately.

Looking at Zara's choice, Amber smiled and discarded the brown fabric. Her mood was lighter today than it was in many weeks, so a more cheery look might work. Of course it wasn't working with her current outfit, but there were plenty of tables and tents to correct that issue. After all, as Zara said, spending money always helped with growth and economy of the city, and Anur needed it. Both girls had plenty to spare.

"I am glad as well, sister," Amber admitted, catching Zara half in a twirl and giving her friend a tight hug. Something Amber, perhaps, needed more herself than anything. "I've seen a tent with lovely robes almost on the opposite side. Many were embroidered if you're interested. And I think we should get something for your hair." She brushed a silvery-while lock back. "I think its beauty definitely makes up for the height." Amber joked. "Hard to miss you, unless you're in a crowd, at which point not much will help."

Amber giggled at that idea. She was about to reach into her pouch for the money to buy the scarf as some tall guy in full armor, including helmet, approached them. His words made Amber stare at him for a long moment, processing the information. She then glanced for a moment at Zara. Seriously? she asked her sister. Amber just got here, and was already accused of stealing. Luckily for this guard, Amber was experienced in being accused of things she hasn't done. She knew the drill. But that didn't make her feel any less nervous and annoyed. For the love of...

"Hello," she said, taking on a slightly diplomatic tone to counter his authoritativeness. "I believe one must introduce themselves before asking a lady's name?" She knew her rights, or so she hoped. New city - new rules?

She made a point of looking herself up and down. If she was stealing and hiding something, it must have been in her bra, because everything else was relatively accurate to her shape. The belt was snug around her waist, and besides a water sack and a money pouch she had nothing else. Bracelets were in the money pouch.

"Why don't I make it easy for you," she said, sounding slightly annoyed and arching an eyebrow at him. "You take off your helmet, I'll consider showing you that I have no hiding spots."

Amber folded her arms over her chest, defensively. "So, how long have these rogues been stealing, exactly?"

Davina - June 6, 2011 11:32 PM (GMT)
Zara grins at the hug and nuzzles briefly before starting out to head for the shops, nothing brought her spirits up more than a bit of fabric, silly as it was. Besides, what did she have to be unhappy about? She had her family right here in Anur, and if she could get the Alpha to hear her out perhaps her other family would be welcome as well. She mentally shakes herself, had to get the guys attention first... Maybe if she danced naked through the square at midnight...

The male in front of her seemed harmless enough until he spoke then his hand rested on the hilt of his sword. Blinking into the sun a moment Zara listened to her friends cocky response and contemplated the situation at hand. Could be the village idiot looking for a hand out but his armor seemed awfully well put together for that... Could be a guard but he looked nothing like the ones who circled the walls now, not to mention that since she and Amber stood out it would have been odd to have not been stopped before this point. A bandit perhaps, if this was the case the Alpha's security was sadly lacking, though to be fair he had alot on his plate if he meant to wage war on the Asier.

SEE, told you I needed my crown, would have been nice right about now! OKAY FINE, so I wouldn't have been wearing it but that is not the point missy. Mentally rolling up her sleeves she throws her slender frame up to it's full 4'10 and takes on the bearing of a queen, something she learned watching her mother deal with unwanted suitors while wishing to high hell that she had pinned her hair back. So damn hard to project authority when your hair was blowing in your face and up peoples noses!

Around the females six white wolves appear, the pureness of the coats giving them all a silver glow as the stand between the male and the two women. Six pair of pewter eyes stare at the male without hostility but the muscles under the soft white pelts are tensed and ready to spring. "We will not hand over anything, if you are in fact looking for rogues then you may look elsewhere. We are here as guests and I doubt that many of your superiors would think kindly upon the insult you have dealt here. Now, you can either call your Captain or you may leave, either suites me fine." The tone is meant as mistress to subject and doesn't falter even as her mind races through Amber's and onto Fenyx

Okay, moment of panic now, if he's some kind of rabid rapist RUN WOMAN, the others will distract him!!! She mentally chuckles but continues to watch the silver wolf in front of her with narrow grey eyes, waiting to see what his next move would prove to be. Hey, Amber, ten gold says he asks you out for drinks.

Silvermoon - June 7, 2011 12:00 AM (GMT)
They were resisting. Instead of turning themselves over they decided instead to try and use status to insult him and scare him off like a cowardly guard. A smirk covered his face though his helmet hid most of it. This was fucking adorable and to a degree; pathetic. This was no ordinary city. This was a wolf city and we did not have 'nobles' per say. There were 3 ranks. Alpha, Beta, Wolf. They were not Alpha or Beta so that left them as Wolves which meant they were his equals though they might have been buying the "Alpha's" favor by paying for a war that he doubted the fucking pup could win. They could not defeat the Aesir head on even with their superior warrior class. The wolves of Anur were monsters to the humans and would have a massive moral assault on the minds of the soldiers of the Aesir. There were simply too many to fight them head on even with the Empire's support. Which he, Silvermoon had earned the wolves.

"Hmmm two noble women eh?" His tongue spoke with a coy jest. Suddenly his blade was free of his scabbard and in his hand. His eyes looked upon them in the shadows of his helmet. This thing helped him hide his nature in so many ways and he may never give it away. The tails of his armor were torn from battle and his helmet held a nice slice out of it that should have claimed his eye but it kept him safe. Soon he would leave for Fenyx once more but not yet. "Sadly we do not keep a noble class here femmes... it's Alpha, Beta, Wolf. Guess what you're neither..." Taking a step forward he prepared for a fight or to run them through. Either or.

His eyes were taking in the surroundings. A few merchants were watching but then went back to their trade. Violence was everyday life here and no one was going to say anything if a fight broke out but a soldier about to run a femme through? That was new. Suddenly like that he was gone. He had used his ring to disappear and reappear walking away about 10 paces away. "Beware new comers... this pack does not accept any just for walking into their domain. Especially if they are here just to cling to this new 'Alpha' " With a snarl he began to disappear into the crowd. His distaste evident for this new leader.

Esther - June 7, 2011 02:59 AM (GMT)
It wasn't often that Amber got to see this side of Zara. She really did carry herself with a sense of nobility that her family has taught her. Even more so that was requires of Amber. Brunette wasn't royal. And to solidify her point, Zara used six white wolves to fill the space between the girls and the stranger. If anything, they could serve as a distraction.

A slight smile tugged on the corner of Amber's lips as Zara made a bet, but Amber's eyes stayed on the stranger. Her eyebrow climbed even higher, awaiting his reply. She was about to counter-bet Zara, when the stranger pulled his sword on them and, in what looked like a threatening manner, took a step forward. Involuntarily, Amber took half a step back, but otherwise the look in her eyes didn't weaver. She didn't even bother to call forth her element. It would do her little to no good in this situation. Evading was probably the best strategy, and loosing oneself in the crowd.

No panic, she told Zara. Just make sure you think fast. Evade, don't bluntly run. If we split, meet at the entrance to the citadel.

Looking at the man before her, Amber's expression turned darker. Pulling a sword on two women? He was no guard. Zara seemed right on the money with 'rabid rapist' remark. He definitely didn't have enough charm to be a thief. Not even close. And that coy jest. Her nervousness was replaced by annoyance, and she straightened up to her full height.

"And what does it make you?" Amber retaliated, her voice leveled and only slightly laced with dislike. "A hypocrite. You judge us, while you yourself is nothing more."

And then he was walking away. What a strange encounter. Why make a fool of yourself by pretending to be someone else, then snarl sly remarks, just to walk away. Amber was in her own right to act in the manner she desired. Perhaps he was nothing, himself, and this made him feel better.

"Have a good one," Amber waved after him with halfhearted smile. "Not just anyone, huh. Do you think the pack didn't accept him, and he's bitter about it?" Amber asked Zara, and then added with a smile. "I guess you lose the bet."

Davina - June 7, 2011 04:27 AM (GMT)
Zara held her breath one beat then two hoping to calm the rage she feels bubbling to the surface then the sword and the implications began to fly. Feeling her mind expand she notes she can feel the other mans imprint, too bad he hadn't been more of a male less of an ass. The sudden blink into the crowd did nothing to lessen Zara's intent gaze, she could feel the other male now, he was as she was to a lesser extent...

Amber, go, now. Find Fenyx. I have had enough of these males. Suddenly seven white wolves scattered, one staying put and whining slightly at Ambers feet, trying to nudge her to the citadel while one raced ahead to the door. Two more split off moving in fast white blurs to the gates while three chased after the male who had been foolish enough to draw and walk away.

Protocol be damned, she broke into multiple minds at once all with the same message, if someone doesn't stop me one of us will die. The message bounced off the walls of her brain suddenly turning the white hot rage into a icy cold fury, no one threatened Amber. No one spoke of Fenyx like that and no pitiful coward was going to imply she was a whore to be bought and sold.

Shoving her way, she hoped painfully, into the males brain she spoke in clear icy tones while another part of her brain focused on the most important part of his anatomy. Foolish puppy, you speak of my alpha that way... Fenyx will kill you with a breath when he hears of the insult dealt today if I don't finish you first. I am no males whore and Ill be damned if you are going to lay a hand on my sister so you try to run you giant hulking coward but know that I will find you.

Bearing down on the image in her head she begins to push on the small orbs that will normally lay between the legs of the male, slamming her mind hard against them causing them to be shoved into the males pelvic bone before pulling back on them even harder hoping like hell to feel the soft popping in her mind that meant she had managed to explode them. Spinning hard she lunges through the people and Lycan gaining fast on the male. Coming to an abrupt halt in front of him she pants and waits, the eyes leveling with his are boiling the color of molten metal and her shape changes, fangs and claws bared she begins to spin the nightmare waiting for the wolf to open that mouth with less than an apology for his behavior. She would send him to the depths of hell for a time if he so much as breathed wrong. Not to mention that her mind still toyed with his ball sack, just a reminder that her mind was nothing to play with.

Sitting panting with her two remaining shadows she again breaks into his mind What is wrong with you, why is it that this town is full of males bent on being deliberately rude? What the hell did we do to you to deserve that mess? Standing again she braces for the next blow to fall trying to re group her images so that she can scramble if need be.

Caithann - June 7, 2011 04:50 AM (GMT)
He stalked quietly through the crowds, following his nose. "You're
sure they are this way, hm?" The cloaked man asked nobody in
particular. The small white wolf at his heels didn't answer, instead
choosing to keep a vigil out.

Truthfully, Varia had no interest in these women other than their
relationship with her big brother, but this man had business with
them.

The figure dodged and weaved past lycan after lycan; each one giving a
quiet grunt or even a snarl. He wasn't one of them, and he reaked of
it though, but what scent he -did- have was one of power, and those
gifted with aura-sight could see a trace of Fenyx in his vibes., but
was it actually him? Fenyx was last seen at the citadel.

He stood no more than six foot, three inches tall, and his entire form
was cloaked under dark brown burlap robing. He looked like a monk who
was a step or two away from his monastery. His voice was crystal clear
like one, containing a faint echo that masked a liminal snarl. This
form was a facade.

".. Ah." He croaked, raising a hand to show an open palm, as if he
were receiving some message. Just ahead of them. His skin was held a
yellow hue
to it, black tattooes circling his palms. His fingernails were long,
but neatly trimmed. He lifted his head so the light caught on his
vibrant yellow irises.

In an instant, the man broke into a run, robes fluttering behind him
while Varia bounded to keep up. His meager weaves and hops to dodge
the locals became shoves and pushes as he grew closer and closer.
Something prickled at his mind, and he used his senses to follow it.
While not Fenyx himself, the man was mentally linked with him as well,
and thus Zara's messages echoed on the border of his psyche.

Skidding to a halt, he found himself standing behind the dark haired,
noble-born human.
"Enough." He snarled, his voice carrying a weight of authority behind
it as well. The hood had fallen from his face; exposing a man who
would appear as none other than Fenyx from a glance, but it wasn't
him.

The same tattooes that circled his palms seemed to spiral up his neck
and along his cheekbones, which seemed studded with small patches of
golden scales. He stared at the scene, upper lip curled in a slight
snarl. His fingers were clenched into tight fists.

"Now. All of you. We -will- be civil here."

Silvermoon - June 7, 2011 05:15 AM (GMT)
The next few things happened in rapid succession and if he wasn't part psychic then he probably would not have been able to keep up with it. Her mind had tried to invade his and he had quickly threw up his walls. Keeping her from getting deep enough to do more then say things or threaten him which seemed very eager to do. Pissed off puppy, they always ran their mouths faster then they could think.

"Foolish puppy, you speak of my alpha that way... Fenyx will kill you with a breath when he hears of the insult dealt today if I don't finish you first. I am no males whore and Ill be damned if you are going to lay a hand on my sister so you try to run you giant hulking coward but know that I will find you."

She could probably inflict some pain but her life would be the cost if he wished for it. However even in his darkened state, did he want blood? Especially a wolfkins? No. This fight was his fault and he would apologize for it. However it would not be for the reasons she thought. When she invaded his mind the second time he captured her there, holding onto her and letting her know that his mind was not the mind she expected it to be. In it he appeared in her mind, smiling at her gently. Only she could hear the words that he spoke.

"Calm down milady, let us not spill blood here today. We both will not be walking from this fight should this continue. You are not of this pack young femme nor is your master Fenyx if he is indeed here. I apologize for assuming that you belong to the usurper. May Gaia always guide your trails and may the hunt always be glorious now trust me when I say this. Let it all go and leave this place. Take Fenyx and flee... it'll be better for you all to not be with us when we are sent head first into a storm we can not weather... " With a light sigh he released the probe in his mind and gently kicked it out.

With another thought he locked away her ability to manipulate the tender orbs between his legs and began to walk off, going past her without much thought. She was a good woman probably and he had provoked her. Such a stupid thing he had done but he stopped just before taking another step. Speaking aloud he glanced at the new comer who had spoken.

"I see you came back... good" With that we wondered farther into the crowd. Was there a reason for being here anymore? The pack didn't need him and he doubted they wanted him. He was no Anur wolf. He belonged to no pack truly in fact. Sighing he sent one message of healthy wishes to the three of them but added a bit for the more aggressive femme.

"Stay safe... Also come with me... I wish to show you something beautiful... I promise you no harm if you come with me mi'lady." His voice was gentler then he had shown in a long time.

"Zara, don't-"

Amber made a step forward to reach out to her friend, but one of her white wolves was deliberately blocking her way. What was she going to do if the male decided to retaliate? Amber glanced around, looking for guards, or anyone else that might be able to help them out. She felt panic begin to wash over her in waves, each subsequent one stronger than previous. Amber tried to move forward, but her way was always blocked. And her mid raced.

"Zara, he's not worth it!" Her tone was even, but she had to raise her voice. Yet, she was afraid her sister was too far gone. Amber wasn't a psychic. She couldn't play the same mind games that Zara could. She was never one to pick a fight in a situation like this. This wolf obviously had issues, and Amber would be a better man (or woman, in this case) and walk away. But Zara seemingly took it a lot more personally. Just pleeeeease don't do anything stupid.

Amber mentally braced herself. She would not leave Zara no matter how much the white wolf was shoving at her to leave. If that ass gave any hint of engaging, Amber wasn't going to wait. She would use whatever was available at her disposal, which included her claws and fangs. Her nails were now digging almost painfully into her palms and her jaw muscles slightly bulged as Amber narrowed her eyesight on the male.

Enough.

A sigh of relief escaped Amber's lips at the familiar voice and figure. She knew it wasn't Fenyx in flesh and blood, but it was almost as comforting. Maybe he'll be able to talk some sense into Zara. There was no need to get hurt over some brute, whose skull was too thick.

Davina - June 7, 2011 06:36 AM (GMT)
Zara trembles a bit, the rage flowing through her was still hot and demanded a release. She would have to hunt later or she was likely to hurt someone else. Making her mind focus on the words and tone flowing in her mind she eye's the male Perhaps next time you could avoid most of the mess by not assuming that any available female must be some kind of pet for someone else. I'm not sure what your problem with Fenyx is but you have to know that he isn't running from a fight, nor am I going to pack my tail between my legs and hide like a whimpering whelp. We are needed here, OUR people live here and OUR race stands at a cross roads. Why would you want to fight with us? Feeling the last of her temper simmer she sits watching as the male starts to walk off.

Shaking her her head at the retreating back she allows for the disappointment to show while connecting with her sister again He's leaving.... I think... Leaving her mind open to Amber she notes that the male has again poked into her head asking her this time to follow him.... Should she do this he could possibly kill her, though he could have already done that. She was supposed to be here to help with peace and here she was chasing random males through the market place accosting them broke every rule she had ever made when she found that her gifts allowed her access to peoples minds.

Sighing loudly she pokes Amber again I'm going out for a moment, if he try's to kill me the guards with shoot him, if he doesn't perhaps he isn't quite as big of an ass... maybe. Grumbling a bit she follows him, glancing at the archers briefly before returning her gaze to the male. There were better ways to do this, now I can't tell if you're trying to lure me to my death or just trying to show me a pretty flower.

Silvermoon - June 7, 2011 07:27 PM (GMT)
((OOC: I'm sorry about the shite post but I'll get a better one up next))

The clear blue of his glinted for a second as a rare gaze of light caught them. Today was a beautiful day, he had started it badly but it didn't mean it would have to finish that way. Smiling lightly he held out a hand to the femme whom he had invited to join him for the day. She was spectacular in beauty and she was right. Silvermoon had done a horrible job, he had tried something more flirtatious like walking up to her and putting his arm around her and saying something like 'hey you looked cold and I'm a hot guy so I thought I'd warm you up'. No that was just lame but hey... bet then nothing eh?

Chuckling lightly he gestured politely for her to hurry.

"Come... I don't want to miss this. It'll take a while to get there and to be late is to miss everything." Silver kept his voice gentle, and his tongue dull. He was going to take her just outside the city to the trees. There he would take her to the top of one and show her the view he enjoyed every night when the sun set. The city would turn into a black gem and it would be glorious. Getting her back by dark would be easier said then done however but he'd pull it off in some fashion however.

NPC - June 7, 2011 09:24 PM (GMT)
(OOC: Fenyx should know Kithy as a part of Marcus's personal Shadow Guard and Davus's lover.)

Her padded feet made nary a sound; the gravely earth below barely moved as Kithy moved across it like shadows on the wind. The flash of a truesilver dagger caught the moonlight as it found a home deep in the dark leather of is sheath once again. The heretofore know to be Captain of the guard and two squad members slid out from their wreathes of darkness to stand beside Varia. It was unclear exactly where they had spawned from, but without any other information it could only be assumed that the trio materialized directly out of the she-wolf's shadow.

Kithy let her presence be known with an intentional scratch of her hind claws in the dirt and a commanding clearing of her throat. Her eyes zigzagged back and forth between Raghnall's guests and the familiar hoodlum. The scent on his fur coat had a trace of Sucram's magic on it, and she was sure that he could be none other than the last favorite chosen by the old wolf. His name was Silvermoon.

"Drawing a weapon within the city walls is a serious crime since I've become appointed by the Raghnall. He's lucky he didn't lose that hand."

Truly, the streets had just been cleared of vagrants and thieves, and the whole moral of the city was picking up for it. Coupled with the fact that a drawn weapon meant danger was afoot, Kithy could only assume that the danger was being produced directly by the miscreant Silvermoon. Much as she hated to question Sucram's judgment, Kithy wondered what could spur the old favorite into such hostilities towards his own sister wolves. They weren't sisters of Anur, no doubt, but a wolf who came to them in friendship was a welcome guest, especially in this time of rebuilding and banding together.

The two women were neither demon nor undead. Was it jealousy alone that caused Silvermoon to act out against them? Dissonance and unfamiliarity? She loathed him no more than she could her prior alpha, Fenyx. He had abandoned them, but in the spirit of good will and penance he believed that Silvermoon and Fenyx could atone for their crimes.

But then, maybe he had left and become infected. Maddened by the demons who roamed near Akara. In which case, she and her retinue would put a swift end to him. The prison caves in Anur were currently empty, and Kithy aimed to keep them that way.

The stinging sensation left over from her weapon was vanishing quickly, and she brushed her hand against the leather straps of her cuirass as if she could wipe away the sickly feeling that came with the truesilver.

"Maybe if I came along, the lady would feel a bit better." The tip of her snout twitched, reevaluating Silvermoon, but still she found no incriminating evidence of demon stench upon him.

Caithann - June 8, 2011 12:40 AM (GMT)
The figure narrowed his eyes, hesitating a moment before something
compelled him to place a hand briefly on Amber's shoulder before
moving forward, "Zarafey." He spoke, using her full name, "Stay; it's
much safer than to be alone."

His words were short and to the point, as was his tone. This mouth
bothered the man, and the sooner he returned them to their proper
guardian, the better. Yellow-scaled hands lifted his hood back over
his head, and he swept his eyes across the three.

"Fenyx will be available soon, so I -suggest- you three come with me."
He even included the male wolf, who seemed to have business with the
dragoon. His voice spoke in such a way that hinted that he was in no
mood to negotiate conditions.

The figure looked towards the citadel, then back to the others,
primarily the male, "If you're going to try seeking attention of one
such as Fenyx, I'd suggest -not- threatening a woman of his interest.
As many mortals quote: Just sayin'."

Esther - June 8, 2011 02:31 AM (GMT)
Zara, please, Amber almost pleaded when she heard that her sister decided to waltz off with the brute. If he was trying to awe her and show her pretty things, this was definitely by far the worst way of asking someone on a date. Although he never gained any of Amber's trust, he lost all chances of earning it. And she was not about to let Zara walk off with him, alone.

Missy, you're not going anywhere with him by yourself. What kind of an invitation is this, huh? On this Amber rested her fists on her hips. Actually, wait, you're -just- not going anywhere with him.

Amber decided to put her foot down, mentally. She was perhaps less overprotective of Zara, but she certainly cared. And while Amber did understand that Zara was smart and mature enough to make her own decisions, there always came a time when one needed a shove in the right direction. Amber's policy was to let others live their lives according to their own choice. Perhaps this came as a rebellion against her grandmother trying to control Amber her entire life. But this was far enough. Even when another femme stepped into the picture and seem to support Amber and Zara, brunette still didn't want to let her sister go away with that stranger, even with the guard.

"Listen to....um," Amber glanced at what looked like Fenyx, but she knew was not exactly him "...Fenyx. And you," she went on, pointing at Silver. "What the hell, man? Seriously. What is wrong with you. After threatening you decide to ask her for a walk? Do you need tips in dating department?"

Amber was beginning to fume. After the stress of threat and danger melted away, the events that went down seemed a lot more clear to her. And she was quite stunned by the behavior of the newcomer.

"I think we should go."

Davina - June 8, 2011 09:10 PM (GMT)
Zara hesitated, torn now between the urges her body gave and the logic flowing through her mind. Her inner wolf howled in fury at being locked away and denied blood while the female analyzed the people around her with an icy logic. The male in her head asked her to leave, the male who looked like Fenyx but wasn't Fenyx had ordered her to stay, Ambers voice screamed through her senses with her disapproval and the deadly looking female had offered to accompany them should she wish to go.

Feeling her fur ruffle she has to suppress the sudden urge to scratch. Where the hell is this coming from, so help me if I have flea's I'm going to... she blows out a mental breath and try's to separate instinct from reason, Amber again breaks through and she snuffles a bit. Suddenly from nowhere she was tired, so exhausted that she had the urge simply lay down on the ground and take a nap.

Shedding her puppy form she stands again a small elf, her grey eyes are shadowed now and they flit from form to form, finding that none of them seem quite stable. Rolling her neck she again pulls herself up and starts to adress people, it was rude to keep all of the conversations in her head when there were others who couldn't hear.

"Sir, I am not entirely sure who you are but there is a valid point made, based on the last few moments in your company it would likely be unwise to follow you outside of the city. However, if Fenyx approves then I will allow you to show me what you wish, that is if you are staying around to speak with him." She places a hand on his arm, careful to keep it light in case he objects to being touched and bites or something. Tossing her hair back she looks at the deadly looking female covered in leather and daggers, the authority eminating from her is one that is easily recognized. This female held power easily and wouldn't be one to mess with.

"I am very sorry for the disturbance and beg your pardon for my rudeness in your city. Please allow me to introduce myself since you have been so kind as to offer your aide, I am Zarafey Avurymtor and I am honored to meet you." Feeling the muscles in her body wear was a new experience, her transition had been easy but she found that the more times she shifted while using her gifts the easier it was to wear out and it galled her to feel so weak so she hid it behind the mask of calm and in charge. But her knees shook just a little under the dark blue robes. She would be glad when she could relax around people again but for now the formalities had to be observed, giving offense would hurt so many that she loved.

Looking at the other male she inclines her head, going with the theme, he wasn't Fenyx, she knew her brothers scent too well to be fooled. This male smelled... Almost like a stale version of Fenyx's normal scent and she worried briefly that he could be some kind of mimic or copy, much like her own forms that she used so often but he seemed to be solid enough and she couldn't place where or why she felt compelled to listen to him. Nodding her head briefly she too looks at the citadel but finds that even the sun doesn't feel warm.

Well, Amber dear, it's been a hell of a first day... Shall we see what else can go wrong? The anger still lingers, simmering now below the surface of an almost overwhelming exhaustion. She would have to find a way to allow her temper it's head later but for now she had to keep up the front of being in control. She wasn't home and these people didn't need to know of her weaknesses.

Silvermoon - June 11, 2011 12:33 AM (GMT)
Two sapphire eyes blinked when he felt her touch. Had she actually touched him with those soft hands? They were so smooth and silky soft and yes somehow he could tell this through his fur. Turning fully to face her he smiled gently even though once again the steel helmet hid his face from the world. It was a double edged sword, hid him from the other wolves but at the same time he could not show his happiness when something actually good happened. Silvermoon would have to find himself a solution to this yet it seemed there would be no time. In mid thought about showing her his face once they were gone he heard an all too familiar voice. One of the Shadow Guard.

"Well I see the new Alpha is wasting valuable resources on mundane jobs" Silvermoon thought with a smirk.

So this is the great alpha's idea of a proper Captain of the Guard. Was she qualified? By far. In fact she was far too qualified, she was OVER qualified. She was what you put in the elite unit of royal guard to keep the Alpha alive. Or should Silver say... Marcus. The current leader was not the Alpha Male and if he really thought he was Silver would do as he was thinking. Take a silver blade and ram through his heart. That human gone lycan was going to die by the next full moon and it was going to be by Silver's hands. Silvermoon might have had disappeared by he was not going to bow to some fucking baldy gone wolf. Never. The thought made him wanna march up to the citadel and do it right then but it wasn't the right moment. Too many guards defending the whelp and there was something attractive at his arm.

Smiling, Silvermoon looked at Shadow Guard and walked past as though he had not even noticed her existence; holding onto Zara's fine hand. It was time to go and quickly and he had all intentions of listening to her sister Amber and this Fenyx look alike.

"As you wish Lady Amber and... sir... Please let us make way for this looks to be a party I do not wish to remain at if the company keeps going how I think it will." If more of the elite guard showed up there would a confrontation because two alphas could not reign and it would be expect that Silvermoon would try to kill the new 'leader'. Looking at Zara he blushed at his actions and tried to flirt; probably horribly.

"Please let me know if I'm holding you too strong, I lose my concentration around beautiful and majestic women such as yourself..."

Caithann - June 14, 2011 08:17 AM (GMT)
The figure nodded his head, accepting the outcome, even if Silver's reactions to Zara were... a bit odd. "Very well. It won't take long." He turned around, robes flowing behind him, ".. Ah." He turned to Kithy as well, "Please, do not believe yourself to be discluded from this." The offer was a bit blunt, but the man tried to make it politely so.

The figure began to walk towards the citadel, replacing his hood to shield his face. His pace was brisk, not caring much to slow for sights or even people as they crossed paths. Yet, as each person passed behind him and blocked the man from view - even for a split second - he would reappear with slightly more bulk.

More and more he'd grow, until eventually the hooded figure crouched and leaped skyward. He twists mid-air, robe bursting into tatters of cloth as the dragon's wings unfurled. Vidar was in the skies of Anur again.

---

Fenyx himself was also heading in the same direction. His mental link with Vidar guiding him to the supposed meeting point. He raised a glove to shield his eyes from the sun as he watched the dragon's display and gave a faint smile. Good to have you back, old friend.

He managed to catch Zara and Amber, as well as other familiar scents in his perception and fixed his posturing. Kithy was one of Marcus', and in most cases, one of the chancellor Sucram's guardians. Perhaps she'd give him news on the grey wolf's interpretations on how Fenyx can gain favor with the spirits of Anur again.

Esther - June 15, 2011 04:26 AM (GMT)
Amber's gray eyes locked on the stranger when he took up Zara's hand. He still hid his face behind a helmet. She bit her lip, averting her gaze eventually towards her sister, mentally agreeing that things couldn't possibly get any worse. This was Amber's first day in the city, having arrived just last night, and already there was more tension in the air than she has experienced in her entire life. But it seemed that things have cooled off somewhat, and a heated confrontation was avoided. She was glad for that.

Lost in her own trail of thought, she absentmindedly turned towards the merchant whose tent she has left minutes before. She handed the man a coin for the scarf Zara picked out for Amber. Brunette stepped away from the tent without realizing the she took merchandise with her, but she wasn't one to forget about the pay. And due to the heated exchange of words and some threatening, most people on the square cleared out of the way or fell silent.

She thanked the man and turned to follow a figure that looked like Fenyx. Amber's mood was growing darker still. Her day was ruined. Nothing could brighten it anymore. She began developing some serious dislike towards the stranger, and thus didn't want to have him in the line of her sight. The fact that he was even attempting to flirt with Zara annoyed the hell out of her. Amber had to bite her tongue not to retort. She sighed and roller her shoulders back. She felt helpless - a newcomer to a city without much prior knowledge of the rules and history.

She knew that they were headed towards the citadel even after the cloaked figure took up into the sky. A dragon, after all. Fenyx had a lot of explaining to do if they ever found time. Amber kept on her course towards citadel without looking back once. When Fenyx finally came into a line of sight, Amber managed a barely noticeable smile. He looked like he could use some rest.

"Morning," she muttered. "I hope yours was better than ours."

Davina - June 16, 2011 01:03 AM (GMT)
Zara blinked a few times as Silver took her hand, she still couldn't name him and this bothered her immensely. Formality was all she had in the situation and she couldn't use it without being rude, lifting an eyebrow at the holding comment she moves quickly after the robed male. "Perhaps I could have your name sir, it seems odd to be complimented and then not be able to properly thank you for the flowery words of praise. Such statements were fairly common when a male moved to court a female in her colony but were rather unexpected with the current male. She couldn't see his face and she didn't have the energy to re establish the link with him, it seemed sending out waves the way she had earlier had been unsuccessful and it had cost her. It seemed no one had actually heard her which meant that she had to focus one at a time perhaps... She had never tried to mass link up before and she was rather disappointed that it had failed.

Amber lovie, I very much hope tha.... Her thoughts broke off and her jaw dropped as the dragon winged up into the air. Since when did Fenyx have a dragon of all things... Great now Zara wanted a dragon. And better yet where had the dragon been hiding on the island where they had trained, damnit her brother had so many secrets that he had failed to share with them. Too tired to debate the issue with him she lets the link lie quiet but tunes back into Amber, for some reason the link with her sister seemed to flow naturally and needed almost no energy to maintain. Ever had one of those days where you need a nap? And where the hell did the dragon hide? Make you wonder about what other things he's hiding, what's next he's going to announce he is a she??? she chuckles in her head trying to find a funny place.

She watched with interest the people beginning to move around as Fenyx made his appearance outside of the citadel and noted the respect and distrust and even the dislike that milled around, whatever her brother had done seemed to still be an issue and she hoped that helping to rebuild would be payment enough and perhaps break the somber sadness she sometimes caught from her friend.

Silvermoon - June 18, 2011 03:31 AM (GMT)
Silver glanced at her with a look of disdain though the silver gleam of his helmet hid his face's minor cringe well. On command his mind's mental walls and shields against doubled as he immediately tried to formulate an answer to what should be an extremely simple question. What would he be going by? If he openly went by Silvermoon he would be dead or on the run by nightfall. There was no doubt that this particular elite guard might have been onto him but if it was. Death would be coming quick for her. There was a reason he was wearing another wolf's armor and it wasn't for fashion's sake. Silvermoon had to stay gone, gone until the new alpha opened his fucking maw wide enough for the silver blade in his sheath to be shoved down his throat.

Finally the great wolf opened his mind's gate just enough to let a sliver of a message sneak out to her. Nothing extravagant, just enough to get the point across.

"My name is Stansdorff, Nathaniel Stansdorff of the warrior class. I don't like to talk about myself much. Especially when ears I don't want listening are close at hand"

Nathaniel Stansdorff, his real name. One he had not chosen to go by in the longest of times. Not since before the military, or the night he had torn an entire brigand party apart. They had it coming but it was history. It was just interesting how he went by his real name now, so much time had passed and now he used as a disguise. How long had he been Silvermoon? So long his real name had lost it's meaning it seemed. So long that even he didn't call himself by his real name any more. It was pathetic yet at the same time, it had been natural. Wolves did not carry saint names. They were given tribal or scary names for intimidating their foes. It just so happened his name was given to him by the humans who had seem in battle, his ferocity unchecked as he killed all in his path.

Looking up he watched as the dragon spread it's wings and began to fly into the heavens. So Fenyx did have a dragon but why wouldn't he? He WAS a dragoon was he not? It was interesting the look on several faces and even more so when Fenyx appeared himself. So there was the mighty dragoon, suddenly back in Anur. Why was he back, what had suddenly made him change his mind. Oh this was a bad day. Silver suddenly regretted having already teleported for the day. Right now would be a really good time to leave the city forever because his rage was crackling and it was taking a lot not to go off the deep end.

Caithann - June 18, 2011 08:46 AM (GMT)
Fenyx turned to see Zara, Amber, and another approach. A flicker of a brief smile danced across his lips before he went back to his set, neutral expression at Amber's greeting. "Well.. considering... it probably was." He wouldn't go into detail on how it felt to tell some new 'alpha' to essentially shove it when it came to ordering him around. He raised a hand from his side halfway to his chest before putting it back down again. It was an awkward social gesture; not even he was sure what it meant, but he tried to be a little more animated in his greeting.

He saw Zarafey and he knew... ohhhh he knew he was in for it later; or atleast, preferably later than now. He raised an eyebrow and tilted his head as he caught on that she was arm in arm with another man, and by his own perception, it looked like she was being dragged along unwillingly. Repressing a chuckle, Fenyx gave the two a brief nod, "And you too, Zara. Morning."

But who was the third? Fenyx knew deep down that he knew. It was the scent of a memory. If it was who it smelled like, the dragoon would be quite amused with the outcome. It could quite possibly had been another wolf though, the lycan didn't fully care either way. What he -did- care about, though, was that this man had his paws on someone Fen saw as a sister.

Let's hope those paws stayed where he could see them.

Esther - June 18, 2011 07:00 PM (GMT)
I...don't think that Fenyx is a she, Amber replied with a mental chuckle. The idea alone would be disturbing. She glanced at Fenyx standing next to her, and then for the first time in a little while looked back at Zara and the stranger. Otherwise I'm ready to grill him about the last 12 hours.

"So," she started, her mood already slightly brighter. "Is that a dragon?" Amber asked, pointing with her finger into the sky. The thing sure looked like one, but Amber didn't have an extensive knowledge of what dragons could and could not do. And if anything, this one looked like a shapeshifter to say the least, looking creepily like Fenyx there for some time. She leaned in a little closer, and lowered her voice.

"That guy is an ass," she almost whispered. Frankly, even if he did hear her, she couldn't care less right now. The dude probably had a bi-polar or something. Flirty first, then threatening, then suddenly becoming a gentleman. Not to mention getting too personal with Zara. Amber frowned on that thought and folded her arms over her chest, almost defensively as the 'couple' approached. "And probably has some issues."

"Did you get any sleep last night?" This was now pure curiosity. Amber thought she knew the answer, but it never hurt to check. She tried to keep her face straight as well.

"I'm hungry."

Davina - June 18, 2011 10:20 PM (GMT)
Zarafey grins at Amber's response And what have you been up to for eight of those twelve Starting to settle down a bit with the mental by play she almost relaxes until she feels Silver slip into her head again. She couldn't tell if the male didn't realize he was being rude or if he just didn't care, poking into someones head was something she reserved for times when she absolutely had to or with friends and family, though she was aware other people who shared her gifts didn't always see it this way. Well, alteast she had a name though something about his attitude rubbed at her funny. She could feel the moods shifting like waves breaking the sand on the beach, happy, angry, embarrassed, angry again. She wasn't sure why he was having so many issues and she also couldn't quite be sure that he wasn't going to turn and take it out on her again.

Sighing gustily in her head she almost, ALMOST smiles at Fenyx as he walks up next to Amber and the two seem to speak... Morning her ass, her brother had some explaining to do but she could hold it until the rest of the people were out of earshot. Finally allowed to come to a halt she glares up quickly, irritated that she had to run to keep up with everyone, being short sucked sometimes. "Nathaniel, the accent in her voice thickens a bit and is startling as it is rarely heard. Something close to a Russian mixed with a bit of french makes the vowel sounds in the name flat and long but they somehow trip off the tongue with ease. "Allow me to introduce my sister and brother, Amber, Fenyx meet Nathaniel Stansdorff. She pushes the mass of hair out of her way and again wishes she had Amber's looks or atleast a few of her inches before shrugging it off and patting Nathaniel's hand briefly, the paw had tightened around her hand during his internal debate about his name and he was starting to grind the bones together though she doubted he was aware of it.

Looking briefly puzzled at Ambers sudden "Im hungry" she laughs, a light sound much like the tinkling of tiny bells, "When was the last time you ate?" Checking her own internal monitor she notes that it had been almost a full day since she had last eaten... Perhaps she could convince Fenyx to bring them an elk, she found she had a fondness for the meat and was quite adept and cleaning then cooking it in ways to make it melt in ones mouth. As much as she would like to hunt for herself she found that she would likely pass out and be killed by the demons before she made it too far beyond the city walls, her lack of appetite, use of her gifts, and retraining her temper had taken a tole on her and it was driving her batty. She disliked feeling weak in any way.

Caithann - June 22, 2011 08:33 AM (GMT)
The lycan looked up as Amber pointed. With a squint and the raising of the corner of his upper lip, the warrior shook his head, "An ugly bird..." He answered with a tiny hint of amusement.

I heard that. Vidar echoed in his mind. There would be time for more indepth answers later, like when Zara was grilling him.

Fenyx bowed his head in a slow, single nod at Amber's quiet 'request', "How about I go out and hunt one of the Fel-Elk in the surrounding lands?" He mused with the ghost of a smile. One of massive elk that really actually had no demon blood whatsoever would easily feed Amber, and Zara, And Fenyx... even Vidar to a point.

"I didn't-" He started to answer, then found Amber's observation of the newcomer a welcome distraction and derailing of the obvious answer, "Ah... yes. He seems familiar." The dragoon whispered, his brow furrowing, "... and not in a good way."

"I was actually just about to look for Sucram, but perhaps such a meeting would be best if I weren't on an empty stomach." He ceded. Fenyx wanted to tell her about how he went and left his armor at the citadel's armor for changes, or his plans for his return. But really... in hindsight...

He was afraid he'd bore her...

Alucard - June 23, 2011 12:54 PM (GMT)
Balthor had left the meeting not to long after Fenyx had and hoped to be able to catch up with him. He needed to speak with his brother as well as Kithy for he didn't like what was going on. Really what was the alpha thinking, attacking villages and turning them into lycans to try and bolster the ranks. There where so many problems with it he did not know where to begin...except with speaking to Fenyx and Kithy.

He Snapped out of his thought process and spotted the gathering of peopel around Fenyx including his two female pack mates one unknown male and off a bit away he saw Kithy. Great all of them are in one place this will make gathering them up easier. As he got closer he motioned for Kithy to come to him and hoped she had seen him. Then again it was pretty hard to miss his massive frame he was a giant after all. As he got even closer to Fenyx's group he took note that the drow female appeared to be being lead around by the other lycan male. On top of this she appeared none to pleased by this fact, but Balthor assumed that Fenyx had everything under control.

"Fenyx I don't mean to interrupt you and your pack, but I feel you need to hear a few things that have been going on as of late. Is there someplace we might be able to all go and have a talk? I don't intend to pull you away from your pack again and if what I think is going to happen happens they may well wish to know as well." Once he had addressed Fenyx he turned to the other gathered lycans in their various forms. Eying the male for a moment he turns his attention to the two females. "Please pardon both my rudeness and interruption ladies I am Balthor. " He then stand up straight and puts his hand to his chest in a salute to them before turning his gaze back to Fenyx awaiting his response.

Her last remark was more of a conversation changer than she expected. It was perhaps a good thing to shift everyone's focus on something that can be more pleasant for everyone than to brew of the fact that the newcomer was a complete ass with bi-polar disorder. Amber tried not to think about it too much, just in case her thoughts would accidentally slip out. Nowadays you never knew who was psychic and who wasn't.

Amber acknowledged the introduction with barely a nod. In any other situation she would potentially curtsy and bow her head, followed by "pleasure to meet you". It was anything but pleasure to meet him. She didn't want to meet him. She wanted him to go away, or led away my mental health practitioners. Not to mention Fenyx's remark didn't give the guy any bonus points. But then she broke into a mild grin as Fenyx called his dragon 'an ugly bird'. Amber knew better than to believe him.

"Sometime yesterday, noon-ish," Amber replied to Zara. She was planning on grabbing a bite before going to bed, but that failed. Her stomach almost did a flip at the mention of Fel-Elk hunting. Not only did it sound like a messy business, Amber also preferred her meat well done.

She glanced sideways at Fenyx, unease in her eyes. "We will cook it, right?" At this point she was past the 24 hour hunger point. Amber knew she was hungry not from the rumbling of her stomach, but rather from faint fatigue she was experiencing. Perhaps that's why in the morning she opted for shopping versus breakfast hunting. Amber didn't realize it's been so long since she ate.

And that's when that giant of a lycan from last night popped in. If the sun was shining bright, he would probably block it out completely. And now he was mentioning having a talk about happenings in the city. Amber sighed lightly. I don't think we'll be eating any time soon, hon, she said to Zara.

"Pleasure to meet you, Balthor," Amber replied. "My name's Amber and my sister here is Zarafay." Amber excluded Nathaniel. She wasn't going to ever introduce him to anyone.

Davina - June 24, 2011 02:11 AM (GMT)
Zara was headed straight for a face plant if something didn't happen soon, by her own estimation she had less than an hour if she didn't do anything and from the looks of things sitting down was about as likely as a magic elk appearing in front of the growing gathering. Patting Nathaniel on the paw she removes her hand gently and moves to stand on the other side of her brother to meet the giant... man? wolf? Eh, who cared. Zara bobbled a curtsey, forgoing the more formal sweeping lines for almost a head nod with a knee bend... She wasn't entirely sure she was going to not throw up and couldn't risk embarrassing herself by puking all over the new comers feet.

"It is a pleasure indeed, however I must press on food, I have found that due to activities earlier if I don't find food soon it is quite possible I will embarrass us all." Again fighting the urge to lay down she looks at Fenyx and drops into his head unannounced Feny, brother of mine, you have SO much to explain but I'm going to puke or faint if we don't find food soon... If you need to talk to this one then Amber and I will head out on our own but I can hear her stomach turn and messing with the other one has pretty much left me empty. Looking back at the other wolf she uses willpower to pull a gentle smile and put on her "court" face.

"Amber, of course it will be cooked, uncooked meat can be very bad. Besides I have mastered the art of grilling over an open flame and have even figured out how to make potatoes not taste like dirt. She actually managed a real smile at the thought, she was quite proud of her ability to make nasty things taste good but she wondered briefly if her sister objected to the hunt or just the taste of raw flesh.

Fenyx made a quiet face at the mention of actually hunting one of the native elks. He wasn't frankly in the mood to deal with something that messy or foul tempered. He regained his stance and stood straight again. Always on ceremony, always a soldier, even if he lacked the regalia at the time. "It was a joke, Am. A bad joke. ... Then again, we can always eat Vidar if he gets lippy with me again." There was a slight curl to Fenyx's own lips, as if it were another attempt at humor. However, his reaction to his own wit gave the impression that he thought of eating a dragonic being was on the same level as cannibalism. "No..."

He grimaced again as another voice caught his attention. More interruptions for perhaps the same cause. It was the large wolf from before, but now it sounded as if his request carried some light tone of urgancy, "You hunted me down this far, so the least I can do is hear you out..."

The dragoon lifted a hand, signaling quietly for Amber to go with Zara. His body language insisted that it was a request, or suggestion; not a command. "I'll catch up with you." He knew that Balthor wanted to speak on the topic of Anur, and the whole thing made Fenyx's eyes grow somber.

"You have my attention, brother. Now, if you want to speak in private, lead the way."

He knew Zara was making herself comfortable in his mind, something that only one other person on this world could get away with, and the memory of her didn't help his mood anymore. So he thought plainly and clearly.

In due time. But for now, go and eat. Rest.

The illusion faded completely, and Kithy and her escort of six were revealed in full. There wasn't a lot of reason to hide themselves in the shadows now. it just made for a good entrance to show off one's stealthy capabilities. A captain of the guard should be strong in the face of adversaries, and covert and controlled. Fenyx and his women were handling themselves, and that was well and good. As long as the lot of them played nice in her city, she wouldn't have to let her appetite for shiving malcontents be sated by their workable bodies.

Balthor was there, too. He motioned to her, and Kithy and her squad came near to him.

"What's wrong?"

Alucard - June 25, 2011 08:51 PM (GMT)
Before Kithy came over to the gathering, hearing that the group had not yet eaten he spoke. "Why don't you all come along and while we discuss the situation at hand we can all have something to eat. I have plenty of food and privacy back at my den if you would all be willing." It was at this point that Kithy and her guards appeared. "Sister I have need to speak with you in a more private setting. It has to do with our future, and Davus."

With all he needed to say said he motioned for the group to follow. He wasn't sure if he could trust the masked Wolf and he may as him to wait outside while they discussed what needed to be said. As for the rest of Fenyx's Pack he knew that anything he had to say to him would likely become know to them. If everyone agreed to follow it would not be very long before they would be at his den and could be having a decent meal.

Amber rolled her eyes at Fenyx and his joke. She was almost positive that he was serious about hunting. Being new to the lycan's style of life, Amber wasn't sure how things worked. Perhaps people here did go out to hunt in their beast form. In any case, there was an audible sigh of relief from her.

"Oh my god, you have a sense of humor," she teased Fenyx. And even though what Zara could cook did sound extremely appetizing, and Amber could add to that, she wasn't in a mood to cook stuff. She just wanted to crash somewhere semi-comfortable and have perhaps a cup of tea, and something small, but filling. Cuisine show-off could be performed perhaps closer to dinner when girls got a chance to shop and get to know their way around Anur.

A look of disappointment painted itself on Amber's face where Fenyx motioned for her to go with Zara. Brunette was hoping to ditch the stranger and with Fenyx and Zara being here, she figured they'd spend the morning together. For starters she had many questions. She was already forming a conversation flowchart in her mind to get the most information out of Fenyx is the shortest time. Amber didn't like to feel a stranger to a city.

"That would be lovely, Balthor," Amber smiled at him. She wasn't quick to judge people, unless of course they had problems, but so far Balthor seemed nothing but a gentleman. Like a little kid, who've just been given a huge candy, her smile turned into a grin as she looked up at Fenyx. Perhaps he was trying not to burden her and Zara with politics of the city, or whatever else, but he wasn't going to get rid of them that easily. Yet, Amber also knew her place, and knew not to pry, but the invitation was extended freely. Looks like breakfast is served, she laughed in Zara's mind.

Davina - June 27, 2011 08:49 PM (GMT)
Zara looked intently at Fenyx for a moment, worry clouded her eyes breifly as his face sobered. Maybe comming here had been a bad idea, if it hurt him or Amber it would be on her head, she had hoped... Well it no longer mattered what she had hoped so far the people in the city had by and large been something of a puzzle to her and she wasn't sure of who to trust and who to run from. The seriousness of the large male gave her a moments pause, there was more to this place and she almost headed off just to avoid the mess but running seemed like the wrong action so she squared her shoulders and smiled. "Thank you for the kind invitation, we would be honored to join you."

Wonder if we will be hunting it on the way to his den She had noticed Ambers wince and grins with the comment... I hope he has tea, also your stomach is loud!

Roush - June 29, 2011 04:07 AM (GMT)
Raghnall ran through the city.

To understand the action, you have to know that Raghnall did not run. He hated running, and everything about it. He didn't even like watching people run. Well, he could tolerate watching females run, but that was completely different.

Not even females could distract him right now. The moment he left his meeting with the High Councilman, he received a message. This message was one of great importance, and had to be delivered to Fenyx immediately.

Well, 'had to' might have been a strong way to word it.

Raghnall had chosen what Fenyx's penance should be. True, this should probably be decided in some ceremony based off of years of tradition, but while Raghnall respected tradition, he was the new leader, and this was his city now, dammit.

So thats why he ran. Well, maybe at first he was running. That got old, so it was more of a jog, following the scent of Fenyx.

Eventually he saw him after rounding a corner. He stopped jogging and tried to catch his breath, which wasn't too difficult.

"Fenyx!"
He thundered the name out across the area, getting the attention of more then just his designated target.

He made his way quickly over to the man. Just before he reached him, he shrunk down into his human form, armor changing with him. It was simply so that they could be on what would basically be the same level.

He didn't even give Anur's wild card a chance to talk.
"Listen, I just got a message that an agent of the Aesir is here. He fits the description of someone known as the Aesir's shadow. He has been described as a dark angel, and he may have company with him. You owe this city a penance, as Sucram has already said. I have decided that this is what it should be. You bring me back the head of this agent, and I will back you up to the council, and all will be forgiven. I would like like you to leave as soon as possible, an agent of the Aesir would not spend much time here. He is by the Wall of Syn, and I care not what happens to the one's he is traveling with. Use your judgement."

There was no room for a disagreement here. No opinion was asked. This was a stern order, allowing Fenyx to do something that Raghnall knew he was good at. The wisdom of the High Councilman had not fallen of deaf ears.
