No discussions of links pertaining to a. Client Modifications - asking for anything that normal client cannot perform unless modified is also prohibited. b. Pornography c. Warez d. Bogus Site e. Viruses f. Browser-Bombs g. Abnormal Pop ups h. Avoid using link-thru systems to mask originating URL for any external content. (this includes link that pertains to illegal activities, annoying, abnormal and dangerous site) 2. Posting a. Limit your language to PG-13. No Explicit Language, Obscene or Vulgar posts b. Do not make unwarranted personal attacks or spread false statements about someone or something. No excessive use of profanity. No racial, ethnic, gender insults, swearing, cursing and cussing or any other discriminations. c. Do not post sexually explicit or graphically violent images that may offend others. d. Post legibly. e. Spamming is strictly prohibited. Avoid making pyramids post, double posting (except for Spam Threads), duplicate topics (all duplicate topics will be deleted after 3 days), one emoticon posts, posting long replies that only has a few words but is full of spaces in between and useless "+1" posts. Spamming includes short, useless posts or excessive repeat posting. Threads each have their own topic, avoid posting irrelevant discussions or opinions. f. Pyramids (more than 4 quotes) g. No posting of links included on rule number 1. h. Avoid posting double topics. Please check if there has been a topic similar to the one you will post. Redundant posts will be deleted. i. Do not post the members viewing the topic. Remember, if you can't post in a civil manner, don't post. Anything deemed inappropriate will be edited or removed without question. 3. Behavior a. No flaming, insult, provoke, harass, or verbally express hatred or contempt towards any other poster. b. Respect all members, new and old, and their opinions and beliefs. Treat new members with respect, and vice versa. You were new at one point, as was everyone else. Please treat newcomers to the forums with respect, and new members should treat everyone else the same way. c. Keep your tempers under control d. Do not disclose information about other users unless permitted by the concerned party. This concerns email addresses, cellphone numbers, addresses, companies, schools, Full name or any private information that concerns real life matters because it violates the privacy of members registered here in the forums.. e. No plagiarism of anykind. f. No trolling. Returning users (previously banned) deemed as trolls that do not show any sign of improvement or attonement will be banned again without any warning at all. 4. Membership a. No Avatar, Custom Title, and/or Username Changing Abuse. For Avatar please make sure it's appropriate for all to view. Any text under the avatar should not contain any text indicating a BANNED, NOT BANNED, MOD, MODERATOR, ADMIN status. b. Do not create multiple forum identities c. Account Names should not be explicit or in short it must be PG 13. d. Impersonating a known member, moderator, or admin. 5. Signature and Avatar a. Signature image dimension must be max of 500x200pixel (if you have 2 or more images it must be max of 500x200 when added, this includes text captions). 128x128pixel for avatar. b. The maximum signature file size is 150kb (if you have two or more images when added must not exceed the max sig file size). 25kb for avatar. c. The text/images that appear in your signature must be non-offensive to members of this forum this includes pornographic images. How to turn off forum signatures/images: 1. Click 'My Controls' 2. Click 'Board Settings' under 'Options' 3. Change settings under 'Board Display Settings' -------------------------Special rules for the following forum:------------------------- Shoutbox: a. Do not impersonate a known member, moderator, or admin. If your name has been used kindly pm the moderator or admin. b. The shoutbox is part of the board therefore all the rules that are applied in the board shall also be applied in the shoutbox. These rules are applicable to ALL forum sections and shoutbox. By registering and posting on the boards, you have agreed to obey the guidelines. Admins and moderators has the rights as to determine what breaks a rule and decide what to do with those that break the above rules. Moderators and admins may impose or perform any of the following in accordance with their duty to organize the forums. We reserve the right to ban any member who violates our guidelines or disrupts our community. Forum guidelines are subject to changes without prior notice. Any changes in the guidelines has a retroactive effect. It is the responsibility of the user to check the rules to be updated. Ignorance of the rules excuses no one from compliance. If you have a question, comment, complaint, compliment, or suggestion? You can either post it in the Forum Suggestions Thread, or pm your idea/complaint/question to Admin. Warning System * Moderators are objectively scanning the forums for violations, and when caught will address the situation. * Each member can view their warning level and reasons for their respective level in their individual profiles or in their post bits. * When a member reaches 100% (10 warnings), their account will be permanently suspended. All the rules are subject to a 10% warning however some rules carry higher consequences depending on the behavior of the member and his actions. Possible Penalties 7 days posting ban, 3 days account ban minimum for flamer Fabre [fabre means any poster with less than 50 posts] (and automatic review for Permanent Ban) 3 days posting ban for consistently flaming member (without prejudice to his/her status in the board, and a possible account suspension ranging from a day to the maximum period of the post ban) 1 day post ban for agitated first time flamer (and possible account ban concurrent to the post ban, but aggravating circumstances will be taken into consideration) * Of course, the warning system is not an excuse to postpone a members banning from the forums for unacceptable behavior. Admins will make such decisions. * If moderators abuse the powers given to them, feel free to report it to the Admin of the forums. Profanity, Vulgarity and the Likes If and ever if a forumer gets caught anywhere in the forums cursing, or verbally assaulting a co-forumer directly without any second thought of revising his/her phrase would automatically result to a warn and each word violently used would count as a day of temporary suspension from the boards. Leniency comes once in a while, with terms such as commonly used at our message boards to address dismay, grief, or simple frustrations would be forgiven but would be noted that the thread and the thread starter would be monitored to prevent the above rule from happening. A pop up will appear that will show your warning log. Reminders 1. Graphics and Movie Clip Gallery a. Limit of pics posted is 640x480 or 480x640 b. Thumbnail your pictures or images if it is too large. Check the topic on the Forum Announcement How to Thumbnail a picture/image. 2. Rant and Raves Forum a. Present all necessary evidence on cases. Self-explanatory. If you want to prove something, be sure to present all of the necessary (and BELIEVABLE) evidences. Members are encouraged to post opinions, as long as it does not go against Rule #1. b. Take your matters and settle your differences somewhere else. If you want to talk to a particular person, there is this thing called "PM- PRIVATE MESSAGE". It exists. Go use it. c. While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable. You agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they see fit. As a user you agree to any information you have entered above being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised. d.
