Making Contact, The next phase

Okay, we've compiled a good amount of concept art, made a few improvements to the game system, and have made more detailed notes for a good chunk of the outline. I think it's time that we plan our next step: Getting in contact with SCEI/SCEA. Here are a few links for reference:

Go over these well. Our first order should be to study the company and understand it better.

I think our next step should be to get in touch with people who have contacts or are peripherally related to the company. Perhaps people involved in game magazines for example. Thoughts?

Good idea to bring this up. We should try and get in contact with other fans of Okage and direct the here so they can help.

I'm a little iffy on that, the least exposure of insolicited and non-copywritten protected material the better, there are other fans who have their own ideas and may steal our hard work and present it to the company as their own work, and get the glory of pitching it and ultimately inspiring the posible sequel.

I agree with Suz, we should keep close to the vest what we've completed thus far. I'd like to get credit for the work I've done, it's not that important to me, but at least a mention. What I'm more afraid of is someone taking what we've worked on, making mindless changes that gut it, and the dumbed down version being made.

We should try contacting fans where we can find them. Not just in North America, but in Japan, too.

If anyone is shy, that's no problem. However, I would appreciate any investigation into possible connections, be they groups, individuals, whatever. This thread will be used to post possible leads.

I'm trying to talk to a member of Sony who helps with gemes like Okage. He's replied to a few of my E-mails, but he's become very dormant recently. I hope he didn't get fired!

Can someone tell me where Zener Works base is in Japan. I may be going to Japan this year or the next and I would like to see if I could make contact with somebody directly. This is a long shot, but I will try my best.

The net is pretty sparse on details. However the official site has some directions.

The third one is to Google Maps, but there's a lot of kanji. If you tinker around, you may be able to do it in the English version.

However, Zener Works is a subsidiary of Sony, and it's Sony that we ultimately need to convince. But, we need all the allies we can get, especially among insiders.

Indeed. I agree. Well, the guy I've been talking to said he was laid off for awhile because of some job issues and should be back to work in Sony around 3 or 4 months from now. Happy Halloween!

Well, the emploee I was talking with told me he's not exactly the person I should be talking with. So, he's trying to find someone higher-up than him to listen to me.
