Great your conversation on kid negligence just reminded me of what I studied in social psychology as far as a child reaction experiment...I don't like thinking of school when I am trying to have fun. Sadly I have not gone up there to talk to them. One reason is because I don't know exactly which room it is. Second, I do this every year and every time it either doesn't help or they just make it worse out of spite cuz I had the AUDACITY to ask them nicely to keep it down. Then if we do get an RA in here to listen for the noise, they will just say, "Oh they are just walking..." Though I was seriously about to go up there when I heard the radio alarm go off at 8 AM from upstairs...and it would not turn off. Someone must have left it for the weekend by accident but you would think one of the other roommates would try to turn it down if it was THAT loud. But by the time I was read to go up there (was waiting for roommate and courage) the music stopped.... I was cursing up a storm though. This was worse than the drummer! So far my major gripe in this game is that there's so much running back and forth. Mine did the same thing after it got scratched up a bit from wear and tear...you don't really want to know....

Anyway, used the toothpaste trick to fix it and it worked like a charm.
