My main characters to have are Rosalyn and Epros. Rosalyn for obvious reasons and Epros because he's so damn hard to kill and his magic is pretty useful at times.

I don't think my Epros has ever been KOeD. That's yet another advantage.

Rosalyn has great attack power and speed, she even knows a spell or two to handle ailments. Naturally she stuck around once she joined. Linda also had the party HP restoring spells so it was good to have her free up Ari to attack more. And there are the obvious reasons

Epros was just too wierd for me to ever use right, no power, poor defense, and his spells did too little.

Epros is incredibly weird. Though I've been using only the weird things since the beginning, so I was quite prepared.

Personally I adore how he's hardly ever hit by physical, so he's always around in case the offensive ones need healing.

I just picked up my old save file for a few minutes and noticed something I had probably known before: He has no MP. But since LP is what's used for spells, what is MP for anyway?

And he has no magic, contrary to the apparent illusions he's giving off every time he uses a special attack XD

Ohhh wow, this reminds me, Boogie, remember how Shelby liked everything about Epros except his tie? And I was thinking, what's wrong with his tie...?
Well now I can see what's odd about it. But I still like it, which in my own little head makes me a bigger fangirl than her XD At least I didn't give him an OC. >_>
Only once, and that went poof immediately. I could just rewrite that all with KT instead...hmmmmm......

If memory serves, MP determines protection against magic attacks. And so his clear lack of magic defense is rather strange. As a combatant, he's impossible to categorize.

Oh god, I was just thinking about Shelby earlier today. She was a little weird in that regard, but the way she dominated the story arc of the RP. I was still a complete rookie at the time, but there were times I thought she should have just written a fic and eased the suffering. I digress. Maybe it's because I've been playing video games since I was a young boy, but outrageous clothing is a natural part of game characters. I don't see anything especially weird about the tie. Course a cosplayer would look weird, but that's totally different.

Characters in shows and games are made to look weird so they can be distinguished from someone else and unique in their own way. I like the Okage cast because of their obvious strangeness. Rosalyn with her umbrella and many belts, Epros' strange tux, Ari's strange combination of clothing, and their personalities are very different (as in likes, dislikes, fighting style ((singer,wtf?))).
The only character that I see as not strangely dressed is Stan in his human form. Although you don't see him for very long, I can kinda see characters from other books, games, and TV shows in his dress and some of his looks (defiantly not his ears though ).

True, but there are those who love uniforms because it makes the job much easier I recall the guy who made JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (which has wild designs even by anime standards), he explained that he wanted to make it easy to distinguish them from a distance.

I adore the costumes in Okage. I have a particular fondness for belts and tuxedos, myself.

Gah, yes, I felt like it was hard getting a word in edgewise with her. We seemed to always just have Ari and KT trailing along after Shelby and everyone else.
