Title: Snowmans.
Description: There's snowmans. Hurh?

Furious_D - July 3, 2004 02:35 AM (GMT)
Does the giant pushable snowman near the house where the man who wants 30 tiny gears in the Pospos snowfield do anything? I mean, it's really cute, but when I run into ghosts it goes back to its default area. Mako pushed it all over when she was transparent, but didn't find any aactual place to put it where it would do anything.

Does the snowman do anything in certain places, or is it just there to be cute/annoy me?

Hynoxolus - July 3, 2004 03:35 PM (GMT)
Yea, I pushed it...everywhere when I was transparent....I think it's just a lil programer thing. They put it in for no reason other than to make you wonder what it's for. :stansweat:

Aw, I was hoping you'd say it was how you open the permanently locked room in Ari's house... :stantounge:

Eeesh, I wonder if there really is a way to open that....daimond shaped key hole.... now where to get the daimond shaped key. :stanconfused:

Furious_D - July 6, 2004 10:39 AM (GMT)
Well I don't know anyone who's ever found a way to open that door. I doubt it will ever happen, but if I happen to haplessly wander upon a diamond-shaped key, you guys'll be the first to know.

Hmmm i look in for a code in my gameshark for a diamond shaped key.

Nope there is no gameshark code for this item and hte gameshark has a code for every item, i guess that door cant be opened.

I think the snowman is just something to play with, or that there was a puzzle to solve with it that got written out of the game.

The locked door may very well be a programmed-out area, as well, and they forgot to take the key-text out. It's there to bother you! Bother you, I say! They too often do those things to games that need to meet a strict deadline. But it is eaiser, often, to leave snippets in (deleted convos, etc.) the programming, because occasionally if you remove them, problems happen elsewhere.
And who knows? Maybe the snowman is part of some larger plot that mysteriously blipped away.

Personally I didn't know about the snowman. :stanblush:

Speaking of blips, remember after fighting Linda there's this swordwoman who chats with you in the back of the Hero's Club in Madril then wolks off?

I never saw her again after that, I wonder if it was an unfinished side quest or just an oddity.

Shadow Nocturne - October 1, 2005 03:59 PM (GMT)
I think that was just an oddity. Like the Movaniac. Now there's an oddity. :stansuprised:

Boogie Knight - October 1, 2005 08:39 PM (GMT)
Ever notice that as you reach the climax, more and more people start to notice odd details about the world, like the folks in Rashelo?

Now the Moveaniac was odd, but the dude who thought he was invisible was actually the creepiest thing in the game :stansuprised:

Spookty - October 1, 2005 09:17 PM (GMT)
how was it creepy?

Boogie Knight - October 1, 2005 10:09 PM (GMT)
He looks like some bondage freak.

I think that's due to the fall-out Ari and company started. While Bel-bottoms (nickname alert!) was busy trying to classify everything against the party, he started to forget little details in the background so soon knowledge started seeping through. That's my theory, anyhow.

And for that 'invisible' guy... uhm... yeah. Scary bondage man...

I think folks catching on was what Beiloune had feared and was planned by those trying to bring it down from the inside.
