the other day i posted a thread on BM for a bending tool, and was pointed in the direction of RB Productions form Cork Ireland.

they have 2 products for bending etch metal, a Flip-5 and Flip-10, the number relating to the lenght in CM's well as i dont use that much etch with my hawks i went for the 5, although thr 10 want that much more expensive

the Flip 5 cost €12.50, now along with the '5' they do extra bits that fit to it to make 'handles', 'tapered bends', and 'channel / parallel bends', each costing €2.50 so i bought the lot!

so for €21.50 INCLUDING AIRMAIL!! they arrived this morning 2 working days after i ordered them! WOW!!!

anyway this is what you get

out of packets

the flip 5 is the one on the left the rest are the add on's (from top to bottom: channel/ parallel bends, handles. tapered bends)

now i have used it! to make the mirrors on the Hawk canopy and have taken photos with my trusty point and shoot! but ..... they are too small and blury (due to my crap camera)

so you will have to take my word for it when i say its easy to use and change the attachments, and even has an angle guage on the side (nice touch) to get the exact bend you need

how have i ever lived without one!!!

my only problems being why didnt i get the bigger one! Doh!!!!!!

Nice review Mark!

I bought one for quite a while ago, but haven't used it yet, or even put it together.
Missing proper tools to assemble the tool! ohmy.gif

Cheers,

Håkan

Sorry Hakan, but I think that's that funny. "I'm missing the tools to put together the tool" LOL How many things can you say that about?

I have not looked into one of these, but I will have to...Of course, I'm not sure what I'd use it for. LMAO wink.gif
