I want to see if any one knows the answer to this: when a comuter has some thing wrong with it said to have a 'bug'. What I want to know is WHY is it called a 'bug'?

But actually it come from the most ealry days of computers.

All computers are, are a really fancy really fast collection of switches. That is it. The computer is either "On" or "Off". So the first computers had actual physical switches. It consisted such things such as coils, relays and vacuum tubes. Think a telegraph, how they keyed in the the message, relay. Vacuum tubes, well think transistor. If you have no idea what that is, look it up.
Any way back in the olden days the computer was having problems so they went looking for it. They found a dead moth stuck in one of the relays. From then on computer glitches are called 'bugs'.

Didja know that cats, dogs, and other aminal eyes have a semi-mirrored surface behind they're retina? That is why they seem to glow at night if you shine a light at them.

What happens is that light passes throught the rods and cones that make up the retina then hits the mirrored surface, is reflected back out, there by doubling the light said aminal sees. Better night vision.
