Entering the hall, Aurora headed in the direction of her house table. The weekend had proved to be one of her more interesting ones there, and was now finished, and the joys of classes started up again for another week. Today it seemed that her schedule was of Potions and then Ancient Runes.

As she took her seat she quickly took up a glass of juice, not caring what it was at the moment, and took a long sip, setting it down with a faint sigh. Potions she was fine with, she wasn't worried about that class, and some o the time she actually enjoyed it, but Ancient Runes, as much as she seemed to understand it, it wasn't one of her more favorite subjects. Defence Against the Dark Arts was were her passion and talents really seemed to thrive. She loved the class and excelled in it with incredible ease, but, to her dissappointment, she wouldn't be attending it today. Looking around the table, it seemed that very few students had made there way to the Great Hall, so for the moment, she was alone and able to look at what the hall had prepared for breakfast before it all disappeared by the rest of the students waking up and eating it.

(Morning Sirius, you just posted our other jp in the common room?)

ic: James and Sirius walked into the great hall eyes till bleary with sleep. They had been up last night trying to work out who was doing what out of bed at night. It had made for a late night without many satisfactory answers.
"Mornin Aurora" James said through another huge yawn. He sat down and Sirius plokked himself down next to him making the bench groan a little at the violence at which Sirius had collapsed upon it.
"Wake me up in time for class" James said and put his head on his arms. To all appearances falling asleep.
"If you are going to nap here that means I can't" Sirius complained as he poured out a cup of tea for himself.
"How's it going Stone?" Sirius asked as he dragged a plate of bacon towards himself.

Remus sat down along with James and Sirius at the table. He was quiet as usual, ignoring even his friend's conversation, tired as he was. What was unusual was that Remus' stomach was feeling extremely picky. Usually, Remus could eat anything at any time as long as it stayed still enough for him to stab a fork through it. Remus' heart lurched to his throat suddenly. After the excitement of last night, Remus had completely forgotten about the lunar calendar.

"Bloody hell," he muttered, kicking Sirius lightly under the table and aranging his scrambled eggs into a circle. It would have been horrible if Remus had forgotten, a deadly serious mistake. His face paled slightly at the thought.

Erynn entered the Great Hall and selected a seat at the far end of the Gryffindor table, away from anyone else. She piled pancakes (YES!) and scrambled eggs on her plate and covered the whole mess in syrrup. A health freak, she was not.

She sat and chewed thoughtfully, transfiguration class was today. Erynn liked the class alright, but her ability was somewhat lacking as of late. Oh well She thought with a smirk at least I finished that ghastly essay...wait...I did didn't I?

Bugger.

Erynn nearly flew off her chair scrambling to get into her old brown messenger bag, retrieving the thick textbook she flipped to the back page were she had stuck her work the night before. The essay was to be 18 inches. She had written 3.

A sick feeling hit her, her grades were already abysmal...

A soft thud echoed around the hall as she began plunking her head over and over on the table muttering bugger bugger bugger stupid stupid prat prat

Kingsley slipped a hand between the table and Erynn's head when she went to once more hit it upon the table.

"You shouldn't do that, you are too cute to go about brusing your face" He said with a wink and then sat down opposite her with a grin.
"Kingsley Shacklebolt at your service" He said and winced his lip was still a little tender after getting split during the Halloween Ball riot.
"I don't think I saw you at the ball, it was quiet the event. In fact I don't think I have seen you about at all" He said thinking about it
"Which means you are either new or extremely shy"

Lily entered the hall with undisguised delight. Perhaps it was slightly sick (she was certain Aurora would have said that), but she couldn't help it. It was monday, the sixth years had potions, Lily's favorite class, she'd managed to avoid being the cause of any conflicts over the weekend besides the ball- all was good in her world.

Still grinning, she sat down at the Gryffindor table across from her roommate. "Good morning, Aurora," she said brightly, before turning to the other sixth years. "Remus, Sirius...Potter," she added in turn, the last being said with far less malice than usual. After all, he had been rather unjerk-like on Friday at the hospital wing, so, even if she couldn't force herself to call him by his first name, she did owe him something. Besides, he looked dead, so it wasn't like he was going to remember.

"You shouldn't do that, you are too cute to go about bruising your face"
Erynn's currently throbbing head suddenly hit something other than table, she slowly glanced at at Kingsley, her brown eyes like saucers.
'what in the world...' she thought as the boy gave her a, she had to admit, very nice grin.
"Kingsley Shacklebolt at your service" he continued with a slightly pained expression, the thought bolted through Erynn's head that he was in on some sort of ridiculous joke, then she noticed the slight scar on his lip 'ouch...' she had a relatively high threshold for pain herself, but when it came to other people, it made her rather squeamish.

"I don't think I saw you at the ball, it was quite the event. In fact I don't think I have seen you about at all" He said thoughtfully
"Which means you are either new or extremely shy"

Erynn blinked slowly a few times, and just knew she must look like a complete idiot. 'come ON just relax, you are not mute, just say 'hi' for the love of all that is holy'

'Hi, I'm Erynn' she said, taking a deep breath 'uh, thanks for that, the stopping my self-abuse I mean, my brain cells are eternally in your debt' Erynn gave the boy a small smile
hey...maybe this isn't so hard after all

Kingsley noted the girls wide eyes and the delay in response. He fought not to laugh when she finally did reply.

"No problem always happy to help out anothers brain cells" He said with a straight face but his eyes twinkled with humour. She was cute too, he thought. Although definately shy, he considered his own bouts of shyness when it came to girls and wonder why he felt completly at ease talking to Erynn who he didn't know. He felt as at ease talking to her as he did to Aurora, Lily or the other girls that were like an extended family to him.

"You should try the eggs this morning, they are nice" Kingsley said sampling the scrambled eggs himself. Then he noticed what was on her plate and almost gagged.
"Well it looks like you already have, interesting mix. Taste nice?" Kingsley asked and then with a grin he added a pancake and syrup to his plate and took a mouth full.
"Umm interesting?" he said after a few moments chewing and swallowing.

Sirius looked at Remus still feeling rather sluggish and sleepy.
"Wha?" He asked then noted how pale Remus looked.
"Oh" Sirius said realising what Remus probably had wanted to tell him. Sirius nudged James with an elbow. When that failed to get a result Sirius poked James hard.

"Moony" Sirius muttered into James ear and continued to eat his breakfast thinking about the fun yet to come.

Aurora briefly glanced to Sirius, James, and Remus before going back to her plate, "Morning Lily," she smiled, taking a sip of her juice and getting a cup of tea. "You seem to be happy this morning. You tell me its because we have potions, I'll consider hurting you," she teased. "I enjoy making the potions, just not so much in class when you are graded," she shrugged, "Not that I have bad marks or anything," she mumbled, as she finished her juice and got a plate of eggs.
"Morning Siruis, Remus, James," she nodded, noting the art Remus had made on his plate, wondering what was with the circle as her brain scraped for ideas but decided she would work on the puzzle later, since he never did anything like that before, or have such an odd look about him and a need to show his friends his egg circle.
Looking around the table, she found Erynn and Kingsley talking and smirked, "You think he gave up on my sister?" she asked noticing the bruise on his lip, and felt a little bad for him, but at least he got to enjoy part of the dance with her, she recalled them dancing together at one point.

Erynn giggled at Kingsley's expression when he tried the egg/pancake/syrrup mixture.
'Is it just me...or is flirting... with me'.

She shook the thought from her head and shot him a triumphant smile. 'Ah HAH!' she chirped 'Score for crazy girls with crazy breakfasts!'

This was rather new to Erynn, having fun with some one, especially a boy, he was a rather nice looking one too she noted.
Still feeling rather bold she leaned and elbow on the table and gave him what she hoped was a charming grin 'So Mr. Shacklebolt, what brings you tp the land of syrup-on-nearly-everything and what has lead you to conversate so charminly with its Queen?

Remus greeted Lily and Aurora, freezing as Auora observed his circle with a quizzical look. "They say if you can draw a perfect circle, you're clinically insane." he said as way of explanation. "I seem to have a flat spot." Remus poked a bit more at the eggs, using it as an excuse to "concentrate" while really he was just putting his head down so no one could see through the lie.

Remus looked over at Sirius who finally pieced the message together and passed it on to James. They both had mischevious looks on their face. Remus grit his teeth to keep himself from saying something he would regret. Oh great... here come the mood swings. Instead, Remus took out his agression on his sausage, stabbing it viscously with his fork. Sausage always did taste better near the full moon...

Remus' comment and how he handled it seemed to peak her interest a bit more, though she looked away however, not buying the circle experiment, he knew he was sane, and the rest did too.
Aurora was about to say something to the group she was sitting with reguarding the weekend before she spotted Remus viciously attacking his sausage and stopped in mid though and just watched him, "Are....you alright Remus? I'm pretty sure you've killed your sausage. Not that it wasn'talready dead." she said with a faint smile.

"Why Aurora how dare you" Sirius with with a mouthful of bacon "Begging your pardon but you were just questioning his lack of vigour and now that his vigour and spirit has return you question that. Allow the poor lad to eat his sausage with as much manly gusto as he wills" Sirius said and promptly filled his own mouth with more bacon, so much so that he had trouble chewing.
