~After firdt Class~

Aurora entered the Great Hall and smiled to herself. Potions wasn't the most exciting today, even with all the ruckass going about on the table near her, but she new she had sat through worse classes, such as History when their professor continued to go on about the Giant Wars centuries ago. Not exactly her favorite topic right there. She headed towards her table, noticing that she was the first out of her frinds to get there; and casually claimed a seat and plate for herself and looked over what was offered for lunch that day.

Sirius entered the hall with the others, he winked at a group of Ravenclaw girls in passing who proptly burst into giggles in a very unRavenclaw manner.
"Aurora! My dear! How lonesome you are to be dinning alone! We simply can not allow such a fair maiden to eat on her own can we James?" Sirius declared loud enough for the entire Great Hall to hear if they so desired and quiet possibly even if they didn't.
"Come let James, Remus and the others share a meal with you, let us rejoice in our youth, joy and beauty!" Sirius said and plonked himself opposite Aurora.

"Either that or we can eat some spaggetti" Sirius said in a normal tone as he noted one of the dishes on offer for lunch. He looked back to the others to see if they would follow his lead and sit down.

Remus sat next to Sirius, having succeeded in pretending his friend's outburst hadn't been heard by every single person within a five-mile radius. "I think I'll be chosing the latter option, Sirius. If you don't mind." Remus said, serving himself a dish of spahgetti before passing the plate to Sirius. He poked at his food, eating as much as he knew he could slowly so it would take up the whole period. Doing that and spreading the food in between bites helped make it look like he was still eating. At least, eating enough to have any other normal illness.

"So..." Remus said, looking over at the other two, "What were you plotting in Potions or do I have to wait to know?"

"Don't want to ruin the surprise my dear Remus" Sirius said around a slice of buttered bread that he had piled with spagetti and then stuffed into his mouth. Sirius was hungry and anything that could be put on toast or bread would be. He liked making little sandwiches.

"James, how goes the pursuit of Evans? Whats the next plan? Back to flowers and chocolates? Try the not-so-secret admirer approach? Aurora what do you think. As a woman how should our dear James go about courting Lily? The guy is hopeless he needs our help.

"Oh of course, how silly of me. Why would I want to ruin that surprise?" Remus replied sarcastically, watching as Sirius began to eat his spaghetti and bread... mess. Remus growled slightly before giving up on just pretending to eat. He needed to multi-task, this was getting boring. He placed his fork down across his plate before digging around in his bag for a few moments and coming out with a muggle fiction book. He began to read, holding the book open with one hand, his left still twirling his fork absently around his plate. He took bites every once in a while, waiting each time for his stomach to resettle. He really hated food. Or was it the wolf who hated food?

Remus struck the thoughts of his alter-ego out of his mind, returning to his reading and smiling slightly as he listened to Sirius' exuberant rambling about the James and Lily situation. "James needs more than our help, Sirius." Remus said, not pausing in his reading or ceasless fork-twirling. He prided himself in being able to hold two or three strands of conscious thought at a time. It probably came from the fact that he got bored if he wasn't multi-tasking to a near exreme. "No offense, James," he added apologetically.

Aurora looked at Sirius and shook her head, "Its something he will have to find out on his own. He won't be getting my help on winning Lily. I've done more than enough to get a couple of lectures, and to be perfectly honest, I don't care to sit through any more." she told him. She took a sip of her water and glanced over to Lily.

"You happy? I didn't do a thing this time."

"Too bad Potty looks like your own your own again" Sirius said and then had to duck the half hearted punch sent his way.
"Anyone would think I haven't tried every approach already" James said and Sirius grinned at him.
"If you have tried every approach then the fair lady would be yours already. I have you tried being someone else? Maybe that will help" Sirius said jokingly and had to put more effort into his dodge this time when James threw a bit of toast his way.

Lily figured she'd already had her upset at Potter that day, so when Sirius started, even though he was obviously going through one of his less-intelligence moments, since he hadn't apparently noticed she was sitting right there, she was willing to be the bigger person and just ignore them all until they got onto another topic of conversation.

However, she couldn't really pretend she couldn't hear Aurora when the other girl was directly addressing her. And Lily really did appreciate the gesture. "Yes, 'Rora, I'm happy." She didn't tell Potter to just stop and save what little pride he had left, sorely tempted though she was. "Interesting potions class, wouldn't you say?"

Aurora shrugged and looked into her goblet boring,m "I've had better." she commented, "This one was more annoying than interesting if I may correct your phrasing," she said looking over to her friend and smiled faintly. "But then again, it could have been far worse. I think we were lucky that it wasn't. And, may I thank you for stealing me away before I got caught up in that mess." she joked.

"It was quiet an interesting class. I don't think I have seen Slughorn act that strangely unless you count that time that Killermen managed to get a chuckling potion into his morning coffee. That was funny" Sirius said and grinned and then a though occurred to him.
"You don't suppose that those two are actually having a contest? Some sort of potioneering show down? If thats the case I would say Killermen two points Slughorn zero. Maybe we should help him out. Give him some pointers. What do you say Potter?" Sirius said to James with a grin.

"Oh Merlin," Remus cut in before James could answer. "With you two giving Slughorn pointers, the whole school will be blown to bits. And 'interesting' doesn't even come close to describing Potions today," Remus muttered the last sentance, looking down at his plate with a disgruntled expression.

"Yes, please, don't give pointers, I'm afraid of what might happen." Aurora said half serious half laughing. She silently glanced around the Great Hall, taking in everyone that seemed to be there, remembering how it had been decorated for the dance and with that, all that had happened that night and smirked to herself before coming back to current events going on. "I wish the rest of our day would just be cancelled, I don't think I can sit through another class today."

Remus sighed, the action causing the fring of his honey-colored hair to fly off of his face. "Oddly enough, I'd have to agree with you, Aurora." His stomach was being especially picky, his mind was on the moon, the headache was starting... no, today was definitely not a good day for needing to concentrate. If he was anyone but himself, he probably would've just let his head fall onto the table. As he idly tried to name his emotion, only one word came to mind: bleh.
