He was the guy that kept a low profile. People in his business wasn't his thing. He hated talking about himself or what he was up too. Aidan like surprising people. Especially when they least expected it because the unexpected was always wonderful. She wanted to read his work before it was published. Nobody got that opportunity but his sister. Now she wasn't hear anymore so he didn't bother to hear what other people thought of his work.
James was apart of a younger audience so maybe her opinion would be useful. "I'll keep that in mind." he commented. The tone of his voice wasn't believable and he knew it. "Scouts honor." he teased with a closed smile. She started to mention that they were neighbors and that was something he didn't know what so ever. Aidan didn't even know his neighbors on the sides of him. "Hm. It's nice to finally meet you neighbor, again that is." he replied. He was kind of happy for the fresh start between the two.
Hanging out together? That was going to be hell. He didn't know a soul in this damn place but her. It wouldn't hurt to rebuild their friendship and to talk to one another more. The change on both ends could be really helpful and healthy. "That doesn't seem like a bad idea. We can do that, no harm in it." he agreed shocking himself. He was all for opportunity and they could both use the company. "I should get going though. Lots of ideas starting and who knows maybe I'll have you to thank. Exchange of contact again?" he asked. Aidan got up getting his cup to toss in the trash and handed over his phone. "Goodbye hug?" he waited holding out his arms. It felt good to hug her again, have a conversation that was normal and be around her period. Aidan released her stuff his hands in his pockets going towards the entrance. He turned resting his hand on the door handle bar giving a wide smile. "Don't be a stranger." he warned and pushes the door handle walking out leaving the cafe.

high notes, eyes closed, holding on
she smiled, hoping that he does give her a chance to read when he was finished. james never had a chance before to read anything he's done. there were times were she would try and peek over his shoulder to see something but he would close his mac as soon as she appeared. she understood it was something secret to him, so she never asked again until now that is. "i'll hold you to it." she nodded.
this was crazy, but it was nice that the two of them actually held a conversation without ripping each other heads off in front of the customers of the establishment. her day was starting to look up, and she had him to thank for it. she nodded, not even noticing that the smile never left her lips. "it's nice to know i have someone close by." and she meant that. everyone was scattered throughout the town, so it was nice that she could probably go walking distance and show up at his place just to hang out and talk.
she was waiting for him to tell her that it wasn't going to be a good idea for them to hang out, but he didn't. he actually accepted her offer which just made her smile becoming a bit bigger. running her fingers over the back of her neck, she looked around before turning her attention back to him. "yeah," she reached for his phone, placing her number in it and saving it. she handed it back before standing up on her feet. she chuckled softly, wrapping her arms around him. sighing, she took in his scent, slightly happy that he didn't change. she bit down on her lip before pulling away from him. she grabbed her cup, getting ready to toss it. she looked up, returning the smile. "i won't. promise."
