"Thank you guys, thank you! And for the pint." Keegan sat on stage, on a stool, grinning. He took a deep swig of the pint of Guinness that had been handed to him - something from the bartending staff, for his work.

He was doing an acoustic performance, in Wales. His band, although small, had been picked up by a Boston rock band to open during their tour. It was Keegan's first time on tour, and he found himself elated and riding high on his ambitions, and the high he got from performing. Tonight, they'd been booked at a small bar - and just them, not even the headliner. The crowd was decent and responsive, even if the set was acoustic and more folksy than Keegan normally worked with.

They got to "Black Velvet Band" in the set, which was a point during the acoustic stuff where Keegan usually pulled a girl on stage and "serenaded" her. He scanned the crowd. "For this one... we need a lucky female volunteer." He growled into the mic, looking around.

The crowd was decent, some good looking girls, but one had caught his eye. The blonde with the curls, with the pleasant little demure smile. A few girls shouted, some raised their hands, but he knew who he wanted to sing to. "You," he said, pointing at her. "Yeah, you. Come on up here, sweetheart." He laughed away from the mic and waved his free hand, waving her up to him.

Bonnie all dressed up a la 80s permBonnie hadn't really wanted to go to the show, there were too many people. She loved music but her friend had dragged her along. Now she was getting dragged up on stage and her face was bright red. She tried to resist but her friend pushed her up towards the stage and she elbowed the other woman in the ribs, allowing herself to be pulled up onto the stage. There was one thing that she would never admit to and that was the fact that she blushed so deeply she could turn into a tomato. It seemed that particular admission had been taken out of her hands, however, as the colour started to tint her cheeks, creeping towards her chest. She wasn't sure what she was suppose to do, standing there a little awkwardly, her permed hair bobbing around her shoulders. She was so straight haired that she often got a perm when she was planning on going out. Her arms tugged her jacket a little bit around her.

Once Keegan had pulled the girl on stage, she looked shy and a little nervous. "Don't be shy, now." He said quietly, away from the mic, and winked at her. She was adorable. He put his mouth back to the microphone. "And what's your name?" He asked, and held out the mic for her to answer.

He grabbed a spare stool from the side of the stage and brought it over, indicating for her to sit. "Well, Bonnie." He grinned at her, and heard the guitar start behind him. "In a neat little town they call Brockton,/Apprenticed to trade I was bound..." He started to sing, just a little off key and gravelly, keeping his eyes glued to her as a few people in the crowd whooped.

For a moment Bonnie pondered just how to introduce herself. She smiled a little nervously "Bonita" she said, a little softer despite the fact it echoed through the mic, her accent still having a strong french undertone despite her time in Wales. She sat in the stool as he indicated, still bright red as she had been the moment that she'd stepped onto the stage. He had shortened her name shortly after she'd even introduced herself and Bonnie didn't bother correcting him. She'd never really had a nickname before, and she figured that she liked it. He was singing to her now, his eyes locked onto her, and she was sitting on the edge of the stool, hands holding onto the sides a little nervously.

As he sang, he watched her. She was so nervous - he hoped she was at least a little flattered. He shifted his stool closer to hers, grinning, as a few people cheered and teased them from the crowd. As he hit the refrain, "Her eyes, they shone like diamonds..." He reached over and gave her cheek a gentle nudge, then put his fingers under her chin lifting her gaze to look at him as he smiled, singing to her. No reason to be nervous. If she'd focus on him, she might feel less nervous. And he wanted her to feel like he was the only man in the room, even if she was onstage with him.

His hand touched her cheek and Bonnie, although still nervous, was trying not to get lost in the whole moment. She was being sung to on stage as part of the show, part of the act, it wasn't like it was real or anything. She shouldn't let herself get all flustered over a few short lines that, perhaps, were directed at someone else he loved or had loved a long time ago. Still, the more that she focused on him, the more that she seemed to calm down, though it didn't stop the blush from reddening her cheeks even more.

The blushing just made the poor girl cuter. Coming to Wales was possibly the best thing they'd done as a band, he thought. He hadn't managed to pull someone onstage and make them turn the color of Elmo back in the States, just yet.

As he moved to finish off the song, he shifted his stool even closer. He'd done the pulling-on-stage bit with girls before, but hadn't taken this sort of risk yet. As Kenny finished off the guitar and went to holler out the last phrase of "Black velvet BAND!", Keegan leaned in and kissed the girl on the lips, albeit briefly. He pulled away laughing to raucous cheers and whooping from the crowd.

He leant over as the song ended and kissed her gently and Bonnie found herself kissing him back. She was young, barely eighteen, and she was easily smitten when it came to someone. He pulled away, laughing, and Bonnie felt bad, almost like she was being taken advantage of. She rose from the stool and smiled a little, sliding off the stage and letting herself fall into the crowd once more.As the show finished, the crowd began to thin and Bonnie found herself lingering by the edge, waiting for everyone to leave so that she could get out without feeling constricted.

If he didn't have to finish the set, he'd have followed her offstage and bought her a drink. Or something. Tried to win her over, even if he was only going to be in Wales and the U.K. for a few more weeks. She nearly vanished into the crowd, but as they continued to play he tried to keep mental tabs on where the girl went.

She didn't leave right away, and he spotted his opportunity. He hopped off the stage, pushing his way through the crowd. "Bonnie. Bonnie, hey." he said, coming up to her. "Did you enjoy the show?" He had to find some way to talk to her - even if it was stupid smalltalk.

She was about ready to leave and Keegan came after her. At the sound of the nickname, something that he had used but no-one else had even thought of, she turned around. He asked if she enjoyed the show and Bonnie smiled a little bit. "Well, aside from the fact that I think I'm still burning up, yeah I did" she said, laughing a little nervously. She was feeling a little uncomfortable because she wasn't use to crowds and she'd just come off a stage in front of them.

"But... you're so cute when you blush." He said happily, smiling at her. "I didn't mean to embarrass you or nothing. But I don't know. I had to meet you. I'm Keegan, by the way?" He realized that they'd never been formally introduced, but he'd kissed her just the same. "It's nice to like... really meet you. Not just the on stage stuff. So you from around here?"

Bonnie blushed a little more as if that were even possible. "It's fine, really, I was a little flattered actually" she said, laughing a little nervously. He introduced himself and she smiled a little bit "and it's nice to meet you too" she said, tucking her hands into her pockets as the arena continued to thin out. "My current family is around here" she said, nodding a little bit. "My brother is the reason I came in here actually".

"Oh. Is your brother here?" He asked, curious. That was sort of the last thing he needed, if he were being honest - a jealous older brother, who had seen him kiss his sister, or something.

Bonnie shook her head "he was heading out with some friends or something of the sort, I usually find my way home from these things, it's not hard". She smiled a little bit at him and figured she knew what he was worried about. "He was probably too busy snogging his girlfriend to see the on stage performance" she said.

"Well, hey. Hey. I'm going to like... I'm going to a fish and chips van, open late? You wanna come?" He asked. Even if it was a stupid little late dinner, he wanted to see her - he was only here for a few weeks, and this was easily one of the prettiest girls he'd ever met. Ever. Not just overseas, but Ever. "I'll treat. It'll be good, I promise."
