secrets--------------------------------------------------------------Marcus laced his Jordan's up as quickly as he could, he was about to go to club Pure for the party he was hosting. Honestly, he was tired of all these appearances and just wanted to spend time with Harper. He told her that if she came to Vegas with him that they would spend time together, and so far it's been anything but that. He felt bad about the situation but what could he do? It wasn't his fault that his agent was working him like this. Marcus was going to make it up to her when it all came down to it. He walked out of the bathroom and over to where Harper was and pecked her lips. Marcus noticed that she had been gaining weight, but he didn't want to mention anything about it because he didn't want to hurt her feelings. He had thoughts of her being pregnant, but it couldn't have been that. She would've told him if she was. "I'm bout to go, babe."OUTFIT: HERE / WORDS: xxx / THANKS
Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterdayA small frown rested upon Harper's face as she watched Marcus move around quickly in the bathroom of their hotel in order to get ready. She had agreed to come with him on vacation to Vegas but she often found herself wishing she hadn't. In her mind, this would give them time to spend with each other. Unfortunately, she was completely wrong. It had been anything and everything but that. Marcus' agent had been working him like crazy which left them with hardly any time to themselves. She was happy for him, but in a way it upset her. Their baby was rapidly growing inside of her and he had absolutely no idea. Harper wanted to spend all the time she could with him before he found out but she didn't see that happening anymore.Sighing, she leaned up to kiss Marcus back once he was finished getting ready. She noticed him staring at her stomach but quickly shrugged it off and wrapped her arms around him tightly. "I don't want you to go," she mumbled, pressing her head into the crook of his neck. Harper often found herself worrying about him being around females during his appearances. She knew he would never do anything to hurt her again but she couldn't help being worried. Could you blame her? Marcus was a very attractive man; she knew every female had to want him. "I wish I could go with you." With the frown still on her face, Harper got up on her knees and kissed his lips once more. She pulled away and forced a small smile before lacing her fingers with his. "You smell so good, babe."TAG: MARCUS, OUTFIT: PAJAMAS, NOTES: BABY TIME!
secrets--------------------------------------------------------------"Believe me, I don't wanna leave you." If it was up to him, he would stay here and be with Harper but he had to make his money some way. "I don't see why you can't." Once she was on her knees, Marcus wrapped his arms around her waist. Even her words led him to believe that she was pregnant, but it was like he was at war with himself about asking her. He was scared that he would upset her, but at the same time he wanted to know why. Marcus kissed her back before letting out a small sigh. He smiled when she complimented him, before kissing her lips again. "Thanks."He looked down at her stomach once again, before biting his bottom lip. "Babe, are you pregnant?" He asked, looking into her eyes. Hopefully she wouldn't get upset with him for asking her this, but he had to. It was making him uneasy and he would feel so much better knowing if she was or not.OUTFIT: HERE / WORDS: xxx / THANKS
Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterdayHearing Marcus say that he didn't want to leave her brought a small smile to Harper's face. It felt good to know that he would rather be at the hotel with her than making an appearance at a club. She knew he had to make money somehow but there had to be other ways that he could. "There's no way I would be ready in time," she lied, biting her bottom lip and looking away. If she wasn't pregnant, there was no doubt in her mind that she would be right beside him tonight. Being around alcohol and drunk people was something she didn't want to risk with her pregnancy and hopefully Marcus would be able to understand that soon. "I'm sure you'll have fun though. I'm just going to stay here and sleep."Harper's eyes followed Marcus' eyes down to her stomach again and froze at his question. She was no where near prepared to answer that question, especially now. He was about to go out for the night and she didn't want him to leave their hotel mad. "What makes you ask?" She knew that he was hesitant about asking her but what made him think that she was? In her eyes, she hadn't gained that much weight. Maybe it didn't seem that way to other people. Keeping her eyes on her belly, Harper let out a soft sigh. She had been caught; Marcus had to know she was lying. At this point, she was mentally preparing herself for an argument or, even worse, to be left. She couldn't handle that right now but there was no denying their child anymore.TAG: MARCUS, OUTFIT: PAJAMAS, NOTES: BABY TIME!
secrets--------------------------------------------------------------Marcus just simply nodded his head at her excuse, he would rather her come along with him but it was obvious she couldn't. After he asked if she was pregnant, he could easily tell the uneasiness that took her over. He bit his bottom lip, before pulling away from her. "The food you've been eating, your weight, and how you won't go with me to any of these appearances." Others may not have been able to tell her weight gain, but he could. Marcus knew her long enough to know how her body works and any differences. When she let out a sigh, he didn't even need clarification from her anymore. He just knew she was. "How long have you been pregnant?" Marcus frowned, everything was starting to add up. The times she wouldn't have sex with him and why she wasn't going out with him tonight. He wanted to be happy about being a father, but he just couldn't do that. Marcus was upset that she hid this from him for awhile now. "Please tell me why you were hiding this from me, because I don't get it."OUTFIT: HERE / WORDS: xxx / THANKS
Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterdayHarper's eyes widened as Marcus pointed out the things he had been noticing about her lately. She never thought in a million years that someone would pay enough attention to her to notice those things but she was wrong. At this point, she couldn't lie to him. He'd figured out the truth and it was up to her to admit it to him. Keeping their child a secret from him for this long was a terrible thing for her to do but she couldn't help it. After what happened last time, she was scared to death of this. After hearing his question, Harper closed her eyes and continued to chew on her bottom lip. She had to tell him the truth. He had every right to know. "I've been pregnant for three and a half months," she admitted, not daring to open her eyes and look at him. In her defense, she hadn't known about it for that long. She only found out a month ago. His next question came shortly after her answer to the first and she sighed again, finally deciding to open her eyes and look at him. "Do you not remember what happened last time I was pregnant with our child?" she asked. "You left me, Marcus. You left. After all those times you promised me you would never leave me.. you left. Can you blame me for being scared to tell you? I know we're older now but that doesn't mean you won't do the same thing you did last time. I just don't want to lose you." Since they'd gotten back together, Harper's feelings for him were stronger than ever. She couldn't bear to lose him now.TAG: MARCUS, OUTFIT: PAJAMAS, NOTES: BABY TIME!
secrets--------------------------------------------------------------Marcus bit his lip and rubbed his hand over his face when he found out she had been for that long. He didn't know if she had known for the whole three and a half months, but he was still upset she hid it from him. As she explained to him why she kept it away from him for so long, he focused his eyes on the ground and tried to remain calm. It was almost as if she didn't trust him to stay. Once she was finished, he looked her in the eyes with a stern look."You're not gonna lose me. I'm not going nowhere and this time I actually mean it." He sat beside her on the bed and stuffed his hands into his pockets. "It's almost like you don't trust that I won't leave, Harper. I mean, do you?" A sigh left from his lips before he looked into her eyes. He was probably late for his event, but he didn't care about the appearance or making money right now. Marcus had things to settle.OUTFIT: HERE / WORDS: xxx / THANKS
Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterdayAs she was explaining herself to Marcus, Harper watched his every move and wasn't at all surprised by his mannerisms. She had a feeling that he would blow up at her and storm out of their suite as soon as she was finished speaking so she decided to take her time. There was a long pause once she stopped and her eyes were quickly met by his. It wasn't long before he started speaking and the words that flowed out of his mouth were nothing like she thought they would be."We've been back together for a while now," she started off, trying her best to gulp down the huge lump in the back of her throat. "It's not that I don't trust that you won't leave.. I just can't get the memories from last time out of my head. You know I've always wanted to have your child but it's hard to be happy about it when all I could do was worry that you would leave me again." Now that the words were finally out of her mouth, Harper realized how foolish she was for thinking that. Like she said before - they were older now, which meant they were both wiser. Marcus had been through things and she herself had been through things. She could tell how much he had changed, yet she was still scared. That was just something she would have to get over.TAG: MARCUS, OUTFIT: PAJAMAS, NOTES: BABY TIME!
secrets--------------------------------------------------------------Marcus bit his lip, looking away from her as she spoke. Her words were upsetting him more than anything and even though he wanted to finish this conversation, he just knew it would piss him off if he stayed any longer. Even though she said she trusted him, he just didn't believe her. He thought Harper would tell him everything that was going on with her, but obviously he was wrong. Marcus looked down at his watch, then at her. "I'll be back later." He said softly, before grabbing the key to the hotel room to leave.áIt was hours later when Marcus had finally returned to the room. Running his hand over his tired face, he slipped the keycard into the slot. Once it accepted his entrance, he went inside to see the lights were off. "Babe..." He whispered, Marcus still had things on his chest that he needed to get off before he went to sleep. She needed her rest, but he couldn't go to sleep like this. OUTFIT: HERE / WORDS: xxx / THANKS
Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterdayWhat Marcus did next shocked Harper. She wasn't expecting him to get up and leave during the middle of their conversation but he was full of surprises. Instead of saying another word to him, she stood to her feet and walked towards the bathroom, slamming the door behind her. Every built up emotion in her body was now coming out through tears as she sat on the edge of the bathtub and held her head in her hands. The more she thought about it, the more she realized he was right. He deserved to know about his child way before now but there was no going back and fixing it. She could only hope that he wasn't going to leave her or start another argument when he returned. After being in the bathroom for a while, Harper returned to the master bedroom in their suite and crawled up into the king sized bed. She slid under the blankets, tucking herself in and resting her hand on top of her growing stomach. It wasn't long before she was fast asleep. Hours later, she was awoken to the sound of Marcus' voice. The room was completely dark, causing it to take a while for her eyes to adjust. Once she saw him, she sat up in the bed and sighed. "What?" she asked hoarsely, running her fingers through her hair as she waited to hear what he had to say.TAG: MARCUS, OUTFIT: PAJAMAS, NOTES: BABY TIME!
secrets--------------------------------------------------------------"I'm sorry for leaving you and shit, but you just don't understand." The liquor that he consumed earlier made him more bolder than usual. He wanted to speak his mind and the alcohol was allowing him to do that. "I'm not the same person I was years ago, Harper." He shook his head at her. Marcus felt like he had something to prove to her and he didn't like that at all. "I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm not going anywhere, so you didn't have to keep this from me."OUTFIT: HERE / WORDS: xxx / THANKS
Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterdayBecause of how close Marcus was sitting to her, Harper could easily tell that he had consumed liquor. It wasn't like she expected him not to but she wanted to have this conversation with him while he was sober. Shaking her head, she decided to listen to his excuse anyway and was completely surprised by what he said. "How do I know that for sure?" she asked, staring at him intensely. "You told me the last time we were together that you weren't leaving but you did anyway." Harper knew that things weren't supposed to turn out like this. She and Marcus were supposed to live happily ever after; get married, have a family, and grow old together, just like in fairy tales. They were already on the path towards that but she was holding them back because of her trust issues. Somehow, some way, she had to overcome them quickly."I just want to be with you, Marcus. That's all I've ever wanted. And now that I'm pregnant, I want things to go right this time. I want you to be there for all the ultrasound appointments and I want you to be there when I give birth. I want everything to be perfect." Biting her lip, she looked away from him quickly and closed her eyes. Tears began to stream down her face but she tried to keep them hidden from Marcus. She didn't want to upset him any more than she already had.TAG: MARCUS, OUTFIT: PAJAMAS, NOTES: BABY TIME!
secrets--------------------------------------------------------------Marcus frowned, before biting his lip slightly. He didn't know what to say to convince her into trusting that he was going to stay this time. "How do I know for sure that you're not going to leave?" He countered her, knowing that Harper wasn't going to do that but if she had a right to ask him if he wasn't going to leave. Marcus felt like he had a right to ask her as well. "Just trust me, Harper." It was going to take some time for her to do that, and he knew it. Marcus was going to work for it, no matter how long it takes. He listened to her speak, his eyes never left hers. When she was finished, he was about to speak but she turned away from him. "Babe, look at me." He said with a slight frown, Marcus just wanted her to understand that he wasn't going anywhere. Harper was life, and he couldn't just leave her behind like he did so stupidly before. "I'm gonna be there throughout this whole pregnancy. I promise you I'm not going anywhere."OUTFIT: HERE / WORDS: xxx / THANKS
Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterday"Are you serious?" Harper asked, perking up at his question. "I'm not the one that left you before. I have and always will be one hundred percent about our relationship. I love you, Marcus. You know I'm never going anywhere." She was surprised that those words even came out of his mouth. It was just to retaliate from the question she asked him but he should still know better. There were times when they first started dating that she wanted to leave and just be alone but after sticking it out for a while, she fell deeply in love with him. This kind of love didn't just go away at the snap of a finger. It would take a lot for Harper to leave and she had always assumed that Marcus knew that.As instructed, Harper sniffled and turned her head back in his direction. She didn't want him to see the tears cascading down her cheeks but it was too late for that now. "I don't want our baby to know what it's like to have divorced parents," she managed to get out before reaching up to wipe the tears away. "I know we're not even married yet and I don't even know if that's what you want to do but I want him or her to have a great life." Harper knew that if she and Marcus stayed together, they could make an amazing set of parents. They hardly fought and they got along so great, but the only thing standing between them were these stupid appearances that he did. She hated them with a passion but there was nothing she could do about them. He had to make money somehow. "I don't want to lose you, Marcus. I can't..."TAG: MARCUS, OUTFIT: PAJAMAS, NOTES: BABY TIME!
secrets--------------------------------------------------------------"Just like I am." Marcus wasn't sure that he wanted to be with Harper before he left for Ashwick the first time, but he was sure now. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with this girl, and he didn't want it any other way. To see her crying bothered him a lot, he hated seeing her like this. He wished that he never left her, so they wouldn't have to go through this right now. When she mentioned divorce, he shook his head. Marcus planned on marrying her, and divorce wasn't in that plan afterwards. He was going to be with her for as long as she wanted him. "You're not going to lose me." He said with a soft sigh before running his hand over his face. "I'm yours for however long you want me to be." Marcus wasn't going anywhere this time, he didn't like being apart from her the first time and he definitely didn't want to experience that feeling again. OUTFIT: HERE / WORDS: xxx / THANKS
