the high schoolers are those pesky teenagers in town. they include anyone attending lincoln high school as a student, and generally account for any ashwickians between the ages of fourteen and eighteen years old. personality, popularity, and level of self-absorption may vary!
the college students include anyone attending either harding university or ashwick valley community college as a student. they're the kids that everyone hopes would make it out there someday, but settled for second best. some were forced, some were coerced, and maybe some even really chose to attend school in ashwick out of their own free will.
the locals have either lived in ashwick valley all of their life or they moved here and decided to settle permanently. they've fallen in love with its charm and are torn between retaining the ways of the traditional, simple small town way of life or siding with an increasingly more prevalent modern culture.
we can't forget about the returnees. they've all lived here once upon a time but had been forced to move away for whatever reason. they're the source of intrigue, gossip, and scandal all over town. why'd they leave? what were they doing? who were they with? everyone wants to know.
finally we have the tourists. with the growing business-centric culture of the world, tourism is rapidly becoming a source of income and intrigue for little old ashwick valley. tourists include people who have never been to ashwick before, and have no intention on staying for very long.
