hey everyone! first off I wanted to say happy holidays and wish all of you, whether you're celebrating or not, a hopefully peaceful thanksgiving filled with loads of food and togetherness. activity has picked up a lot over the past month and a half or so which we're so glad about, not to mention the site has been getting in a lot of new members and guests as well. i also want to take this short time out to welcome them to the site and wish them and their characters the best.with that being said, today i'm making this announcement on behalf of the htb staff on two main points that we've been discussing for a small period of time concerning two different problems we've been witnessing happening lately.
the first issue I wanted to touch on has been happening for a while, but only recently has it really been done to a point where it's concerned a lot of us on staff and that's the deletion of new characters/accounts that've only been made days prior to their requested deletion - as well as soon after deleting the account going on to make a new account, or the deleting of a new character for lack of plottage/no muse.
now you all know we here on the htb staff don't normally have big problems with the character creation process because we all believe that ultimately it comes down to you guys whether or not a character works or doesn't. however, we wanted to offer an alternative in the form of keeping the account and instead of deleting to make a new character/account that you would just keep the account and make your new character on it. this is so it makes it easier without you having to delete a whole new account [with posts usually under the 100 mark] and keeps us happy because there isn't an account going to waste!

the second isn't as big as the first, but is still something I wanted to touch on considering what time of the year it is. So of course with it being holiday time, people are going to be away from the computer probably more than they usually are any other time of the year, right? well with it being this time, all we ask is that those of you who are expecting posts of any kind be respectful of both the writer you're writing with and the others in the cbox/icc in the account you go in either one and question the status of threads with another writer.
so as an example, I just want to say that we don't want to see the following:
"_____ owes me a post for our thread!"
or - "I wish _____ would post for me, i've been waiting"
"_____! ______!! I REPLIED TO OUR THREAD! WHEN ARE YOU GONNA?!"
it's just a common courtesy thing because at the end of the day I'm sure you will get your reply eventually and being honest, no one really wants to see you asking for a post - that also goes for any amount of member shade going on behind their backs, cause that isn't cute either and no one wants to see how much you're disappointed because you've yet to receive your post. Be mindful that if anyone on the staff notices it, you'll be issued a brief warning to stop discussing it in the cbox/icc. there'll be no need for anything past a warning because i know you all are mature enough to know when and where to discuss things. it's easy.
Okay, so I'm ending this update by just telling you all that you're doing wonderful with all your stories and that i'm proud to be apart of a site as great as ours. Keep up the good work and again, happy holidays! <3
