He loved being in her presence, a fact that he’d revealed to her before. After handing her cone over, the attendant turned to him. “And for you sir?” She asked and Remingtyn smiled before answering. “I’d like two scoops of chocolate chip.” He said before stealing a lick of Ebony’s cone. He feigned innocence when she realized what he did. “I didn’t do anything.” He said, putting his hands up playfully before accepting his cone. Seeing his often, and spending time with him as she continued to fix up her house and move in it was good having him there to keep her mind in a good place and her feet on the ground. Work had been crazy, and with the both of them having jobs she was beyond grateful for the time they had to spend with one another so when Rem asked her if she wanted ice cream she agrees readily and chuckled holding on to his hand and walking towards the stand before he ordered them ice cream and she saw him licking her cone. "Fat ass, uh sure you didn't." she said and chuckled before standing on her tippy toes a bit and wiping a little bit of the ice cream from his lips before she smiled at the lady thanking her, and walking off beside him.squeezing his hand, and chuckling, Ebony remembered the previous night when they were in bed watching movie and Rem fell asleep. Shaking her head, she took out her phone and showed him her wallpaper of a knocked out Rem with his mouth all wide open. Laughing she leaned her head on his shoulder and licked her ice cream. "You kept me up all night, snoring," she said and smiled up at him making sure to stay close. Eb could be near like this for hours, and maybe forever, but she couldnt ignore that fear that always seems to crawl up her spine when they kissed, or when things really got passionate between them. She knew that Remingtyn was a good man, and she knew that he was what she deserved, but the thought of being hurt always seemed to pull her away. She hated it...but he scared her, Being alone for so long and then finally having someone show up and be there was a bit different, and while she appreciated Rem, it scared her shitless to think of the chances of her heart getting broken.
