i saw the sky like i never seen before
He wanted her to be sure of it. He wanted to be with Jenna, he needed to be with Jenna. He had yet to meet another girl who just clicked with him, who he liked so much and wanted to be around all the time. There was no one else for him. He was sure of that. He wanted her to be sure too. He wanted her to actually want to be with him for the same kind of reasons he wanted to be with her. Jenna needed to know that he would be the best person for her and they would be such a good couple and that they were going to do it all. They weren't going to just mess around, they weren't going to just date. She dated him then it was for real and one day she was going to marry him. It was all very clear in his mind. He needed it to be clear in hers also. She either really needed to want to be with him, want to date him in a serious way or they needed to stay friends. If Jenna couldn't picture settling down with him at some point then he didn't want it. "Good, I'm glad. I tried." he said with a grin and nod. "Now you just gotta bring it when we get home, beautiful. You're date has to be awesome too." He didn't really want to keep talking about it. It was going to mess with him. They had a long day tomorrow and he just wanted to be able to enjoy it. He had thought about it and she hadn't. Now she had to think about it. She had to figure out what she wanted. He'd leave it alone, not bring it up until she did. Because he wasn't going to let himself feel sad about this.

She would be sure of it when they talked about this again. Jenna wasn't going to do anything she wasn't sure of, especially with him. Ty was way too important to her, and to her life to not be sure of what she wanted. She already felt differently about them, the potential was there at least, and she just needed to figure out if that was what she wanted or not. It wouldn't be hard to settle down with him, it wouldn't, at all. He already knew her. She already loved him, it wouldn't be that hard to fall for him completely. She just needed to be sure. She could casually date other guys, knowing it wasn't going anywhere, but if she dated him, it would be for real. It would be because they would get married at some point. She was on the same page with him on that, at least. They would either be serious, or they wouldn't be together at all. It was one or the other and nothing in between. The only thing they were really settling on was how they were going to love each other. They were already in this relationship for life, that wouldn't change, but whether they were going to be everything to each other or not was a different story. "I will. It'll be great. And it's a date with me, so it can't be bad." They didn't have to keep talking about it. She knew she had to start seriously figuring out what she wanted and he knew she'd do it. She'd be thinking about this. And she'd bring it up when she was ready to commit one way or the other. But until then, they would keep going out with each other. They would keep exploring the possibility without getting in too deep. She wasn't going to just forget about this, she was just so confused about what she was feeling, and she needed a little time.

i saw the sky like i never seen before
Ty already knew what he wanted. He wanted them to be serious and not move really slow and get married one day, have a tiny little family. If he got with Jenna he was never going to let her go. And for him being in a committed relationship with someone forever meant getting married,t hat would have to happen one day. If she decided to be with him it would be more than them just dating, a lot of changes would happen. She had to know that going into being with him. He couldn't mess around with her and he couldn't just date her, it had to be serious. All or nothing. She needed to know what she wanted. They could be friends forever, have their existing relationship until they got old, or she could commit to really being with him. Because they couldn't do an inbetween. Ty wanted to be with her so badly, especially after this date got that really in his mind, but he would take staying like this forever. He needed Jenna in his life as a main player, however he could get it. He laughed, "Wow, I didn't know you could be so cocky, beautiful." he teased, "This date had better not be something lame like playing video games and calling it a date just cuz." He wasn't going to bring it up, at least he was going to try not to bring it up. He was going to wait for her. And maybe if they went on a few more dates she'd decide and hopefully she'd decide to be with him. He wanted to be with her, she should want to be with him.

He always knew what he wanted before Jenna ever started thinking about it. This was a little different, though. It wasn't she just hadn't thought about it. They had planned to go on a date, so it had occurred to her that this might be something that changed everything. She was aware of that. She just hadn't let herself think about it too hard because she didn't know how seriously they were taking this. As soon as he'd knocked on her door, though, she knew it was much more serious than she'd been thinking. This wasn't just them joking around anymore. This was for real. He was always joking about dating her, about marrying her, but it hadn't seemed serious until tonight. She hadn't ever considered that settling down with him was the best decision she could make. And she kind of wished she had now. She wished she knew what she wanted so they weren't stuck in this in between place. She didn't like it and she doubted he did, either. And that would motivate her to figure this out faster. Being stuck somewhere where she didn't really know how to feel about it was miserable. She didn't want to do that, not for long. They'd either commit to each other, or decide to be friends, but she couldn't just do something casually with him and then go back to what they used to be. They weren't going to be like that. It was stay the same or change, but there would be no going back from that. "Playing video games should never be considered a date. I wouldn't do that to you." Right now, she just knew this felt right. Going on this date with him had felt right. And she wanted to do it again. Go on a few more dates while she figured this out. She wasn't trying to string him along or make things harder, but going out with each other a few more times would help her decide. Either it was working or it wasn't, but she'd decide.

He had hoped beyond anything that Jenna would have thought about it before. That they would have decided to go on this date for real and she would have started thinking about what that could mean. It would have gotten in her head that people went on dates to start a relationship, that's what normal people did, most people did. You went on a date to try to find someone to be with, someone who you'd maybe marry. He had wanted her to think of this that way. This was maybe the start of something. He wished she had gone into this date with her mind completely open, thinking about it before he knocked on her front door instead of just coming through the conjoining one. But of course she hadn't because that wasn't how Jenna worked, she didn't think like that. But now she had to, now it was in her head for real, there was no way she didn't feel like everything was different. How they were holding hands and the kiss he gave her, everything was different and she had to pick. Things would change drastically or stay the same. There was nothing else and she needed to figure out what she wanted. If could accept change for him. "You should take me to like...a concert. Or...a game. Bring you out of your comfort zone for me." he said with a grin, only half teasing. "Or whatever other fun stuff you can think up." He was positive this would work. That didn't mean he was right, he could easily be wrong, but he was positive this would work between them. This wasn't a one time thing that it worked so well, they were just great together. She just needed to see it too and want it.

Of course she hadn't thought about it. But she would now. Everything felt different, and the potential to be something more was right there, she just had to figure out if that was what she wanted. She was thinking about it now, she was thinking about it as a serious thing, and not just as something they joked about. He'd made it a real date and she'd taken that seriously, but she hadn't expected it to be this serious. She hadn't expected these feelings to come to the surface. She casually dated, she didn't seriously date, and she hadn't thought about it, either, not until now. She hadn't seriously thought about what might change. That was the issue they were having now. She hadn't thought about how they might change. But change happened whether or not you were looking for it sometimes, and what she was feeling right now had definitely changed from how she'd felt before they left tonight. It all felt different, and she did like it, she just didn't know where it was coming from, and she had to figure that out. She had to know that what she was feeling right now was real and not just her wondering what it would be like to be with him. "I'll come up with something awesome. You just gotta trust me." They were already together for life, she doubted that would change just because they got romantic with each other. But she wanted to be sure, too. She didn't want to jump into it and end up losing him because she didn't know what she was doing. She loved him, and they were great together, and all of this felt so right, but she didn't know where this should go. She didn't know if this was the right step to take. When she knew, though, he'd know, and they'd figure out what to do from there.

It would have been awesome if she had more idea what she wanted going into this. He had so many ideas of what they could be. Of course she hadn't. It sucked that she hadn't. He felt like he was just in the dark now. They had this great date and he was hopeful because it had gone so well. He had let himself think about it a lot and he had decided that now would be a good time to date Jenna. They weren't getting any younger. He had gotten with Isabelle Madison and there was no one higher than that, there weren't any other conquests he could get, there was nothing else but Jenna. He should be with her. Now was a good time. There was no way they would have just started dating after this one date but they'd be closer, they'd have an idea of what was going to happen. Because them getting together was a big deal, it was going to be life changing. He wouldn't take it lightly and he knew she wouldn't either. This was going to be a real thing if she decided it should be and he wanted it to be, he wanted to be with her for real. He had been thinking about it for weeks and tonight just really solidified it in his head. It wasn't the date that made him feel like this, he just wanted to be with her. "I already told you that I mostly do." He said with a teasing tone. If they jumped into this and it didn't work out then they probably would fall apart. So much of his life was centered around Jenna and their friendship that he couldn't handle that, he couldn't not have her around. Because he would let himself fall for her so quickly if they got together and he didn't think he was tough enough to deal with the heartbreak of them not working, of her deciding that she didn't want to one day marry him and be with him. It needed to be for real if it was going to happen at all.

If she was someone else, she might have known what she wanted out of this. Most people would have thought about this more than she had.. They would have realized that this obviously meant more than what she'd thought. Jenna didn't think like that. She didn't think about where they were going, she thought about where they were. And until he'd knocked on her door, nothing had felt different. Nothing had ever felt this serious before and now it did. It all felt serious and different and she was thinking about it now. They'd had time to be young and not at all settled down, they could do this now. They could. She just had to decide if that was what she wanted. She had to decide if this was the direction she wanted to go, if she wanted to settle down with him. It would change everything, and they had to be serious about it. It had to be completely for real. Because he was the center of her world, he really was, and she couldn't ruin that just because she felt something right now. She had to know for sure that it was a good thing for them. And she wasn't right now, because she hadn't thought about it. "That's not good enough. You need to just completely trust me."

Jenna just worked differently. She didn't think about real world stuff the same way other people. Other people would have seen this as the beginning of something new, something different. She didn't. That's not how she worked. But he could tell from the way she was talking him and the way she had looked at him that it was in her head now, without him having to say anything. It was in her head now, it just wasn't before. It would have been ideal if it was in her mind and he didn't have to feel so lost right now, because he did, but he wasn't surprised she had never thought about it. Now it was in her mind and now she had to think about it and decide. He was going to wait for her and he was going to try to be as patient as he always was with her but this was a bigger deal, this was different, this was their future and he didn't actually know if he could be patient. "Really? I have to?" he asked, eyes narrowing playfully as he looked at her.

She didn't think the same way most people did. If she did, she wouldn't be Jenna. She was exactly the kind of person who didn't think about anything until it was right there in her face. And now it was. This was right in her face. She couldn't ignore it now, she had to figure this out and she was thinking about it. She was thinking about it. It wasn't going to just leave her mind and she wasn't going to just stop thinking about it. She was going to do her best to make sure she had an answer for him sooner rather than later. She wasn't going to just forget about it. They were going to keep doing this, going on dates, hanging out as something that was slightly more than friends. That was going to happen. She was going to think about everything, and she was going to have an answer for him, but she didn't know what that answer was yet. Right now, she really liked the idea of all of this, but she wasn't sure it was going to really be what she wanted. "Yeah, you have to. You've known me, like, 20 years, you should trust me."

He hadn't expected her to have an idea. That wouldn't be the Jenna thing to do, think ahead for something other than work. She didn't work like that and he couldn't expect her to. He wasn't surprised at all. She hadn't came up with the idea as a date and she wasn't going to think about it as one until it was happening. He wasn't surprised. It just would have been nice, really nice, if she had thought about it before. It would have made this so much easier. But he could wait, he could force himself to be patient. He needed a definite answer, he needed something solid, and he knew that would take time. You couldn't rush someone when it came to massive life decisions and this was one of them. Was Jenna willing to get married to him one day down the line. Because that's what was at stake, how serious she was willing to be and he was fairly sure she knew that. This was a big deal. "Yeah, I should. I'm gonna try. And if I'm disappointed we can't be friends anymore. 20 year friendship over!" he said before laughing.
