Corey wanted to hear her “explanation” about her job as a stripper. What was there to explain? She went behind his back after he told her to quit and continued to do it, so there was really no explanation that was needed. He couldn’t trust her like he use to. With every passing day, he was growing back small amount of his trust in her, but it wasn’t enough to talk to her everyday like she use to. He just felt like he couldn’t. Not at this time. Maybe sometime later during the week.
On his outing, Corey sent her text message telling her to let her friend babysit Zeke for a while so the two of them can talk without having to worry about their child being presence. He was hoping she would listen and do as told this time. It could, just a small bit, give him some type of trust into knowing she could do something right. He finished up making his runs for the night and came home with bag of Wendys food in his hands. ”I got some food here,” He said without greeting her like he usually do. Setting the food on the kitchen counter, Corey left to go take a shower and wash over the smell of the cocaine, before returning back into the kitchen with a towel wrapped around his waist.
Lately, Leilani had been spending much time alone with Zeke. Corey was always out doing whatever he needed to do to get money for them. She had quit her job this time just like he had asked, and lately she was thinking that it was for the best. Leilani had no right to subject herself to what she did those nights. It was also good to be at home with her son every night instead of the raunchy club. She licked her bottom lip when she received a text from Corey, stating that she needed to drop Zeke off at a friend's house because they needed to talk. Biting her bottom lip, she sent a text to her friend asking if she could come get Zeke. Luckily for her, they were only a block away from the apartments so she knew that it wouldn't be a problem. She carefully moved Zeke out of her lap so that she could gather her things, and once she was through her friend had arrived. Leilani picked up a sleeping Zeke and his things before opening the door. "Thanks girl. I owe you one," She said with a smile before handing her child over to the friend. "Yeah, yeah just fix things with your man."After her friend had left, it wasn't long before Corey had arrived. She hated that she didn't get a greeting from him nowadays. It was something that she missed the most. A sigh left from her lips as he dropped the food on the kitchen counter and moved towards the back of the apartment. She stood to her feet and moved towards the food. Opening the box of food, she slipped a couple fries in her mouth. Once she was finished with them, she began to eat her burger. It wasn't long before Corey came back in the room with a towel wrapped around his waist. "I missed you," She said biting her bottom lip. "What do you want to talk about?"

He was a little disappointed that he didn’t get the chance to see Zeke before her friend came over to pick him up. He made a mental note to stay home all tomorrow to spend the day with him; however if him and Leilani didn’t work out their difference by the end of tonight, he wasn’t going to stick around too long. The drug deals have to moving along perfectly fine. As of matter of fact, he was making a big progress in money than he ever did in hustling little high school students in a game of craps.
He dug in the bag to take out his burger and fries and sat them off to the side, handing the rest of the bag over to her. Her comment about missing him went in one ear and out of the other. He was still hurt with her. Enough to keep up this grudge with her for another couple of days before the distant in their relationship started to bother him. Taking a few fries into his mouth and a bite out of his burger, he chewed it down without saying a single word to her. It was his way of giving her the silent treatment.
”What do you want to talk about?” He stopped his eating to raise a brow over at her. Once he swallowed down the food in his mouth, Corey grabbed the napkin to wipe his mouth and leaned back against the counter. ”You wanted to explain yourself over twitter? Here’s your chance; start talking.” He told her with a bit of irritation in his tone of voice.
When he completely ignored her 'i miss you', she let out a soft sigh. It honestly hurt her that he was treating her this way, but Leilani guessed she deserved it all. She just wished that things could go back to the way they were quickly instead of this slow process. "Okay," she bit her bottom lip, trying to get her words together. Leilani knew if she didn't approach the situation the right way that it would turn into a worse situation. She already couldn't handle this one."I didn't mean to hurt you, Corey. I just wanted to help you out. I know you was out trying to get the money we needed, but I felt like that just wasn't enough. It was the only option I knew, and I'm so sorry that I chose that route. If I knew it was going to hurt you like this, I wouldn't have done it." As she spoke these words to him, she could feel her eyes starting to well up with tears. She hadn't even heard his answer to them yet, but she couldn't help but to get a bit emotional about it.

He was giving a better silent treatment than he’d give anyone else. He never use to be this good in ignoring someone before. His reason for ignoring her was valid enough for him to stick it out till the very end. In all honesty, Corey was experiencing days when he missed talking and cuddling with her every night, but he just needed quality time to gain back his trust for her. That was all. He was lucky to not have used that time to himself to fuck up his relationship even more.
”I don’t need your help. The only time I needed your help is when I ASKED for your help. You did that for you. Don’t try to say you were helping me out, because if you were, you would’ve left that job when I told you to leave it. Now the whole world knows my girlfriend is a fucking stripper. Out there showing her body off to all these dudes, all these random dudes, and I have to deal with that?!” His voice rose, expressing the hurt and anger in his voice. ”Next time I tell you to do something, you better fucking do it.”
Leilani stayed silent as he spoke, biting her bottom lip. She wished she never took the job at the strip club. If she knew that he was going to get this upset with her, she wouldn't have. It was hard not communicating with him like they usually do daily. The silent treatment he gave her was killing her softly, and she just couldn't do it anymore. She was tired of him being so upset with her. The way he spoke to her caused more tears to fall from her face, she quickly wiped them away. Leilani hated hearing the anger and hurt in his voice. He didn't deserve to feel that way at all. "I'm sorry, Corey! I don't know how many times I have to say it, but I'm sorry." She bit her bottom lip before looking away from him and running her fingers through her hair. "I wish I could take it all back."

There go those goddamn tears. Corey could not STAND seeing her cry when it was his fault. However, he had to stay upset with her and let her know that he was seriously upset about her recent actions to make her understand not to do that shit no more. He would not be able to withstand anymore disobedient acts out of her. If she wasn’t going to follow simple instructions as she was told, the silent treatment was going to happen again.
Sighing in defeat, Corey folded his arms across his chest. It was all in his hands now: he could try to work up another chance or he could continue giving her this silent treatment. Once his mind started to think about Zeke, his decision was easier for him to make. ”Fine..” He grabbed his food and began eating it. ”I accept your apology.” He muttered lowly, taking a bite out of his burger.
Leilani bit her bottom lip as she looked over at Corey as he remained quiet. She couldn't handle anymore silent treatments from him. It was hard going days on end without talking to her boyfriend about things they normally talked about. When he finally gave in to her apology, she looked at him with a soft smile. "You don't know how much I missed talking to you, Corey."

Since he accepted her apology, everything should go back to normal, right? No more arguing. No more silent treatment. It was just be the two of them living back into their normal happiness with Zeke. Sadly, Corey still felt like it was going to be a little more work to trust her full -- as long as he continued to perceive himself to believe he was doing this all for Zeke’s sake, their relationship was going to make through whatever trials it went through. Her comment made him raise his eyes up to see the smile graced over her lips. ”It’s… mutual.”
Leilani hoped that since he had accepted her apology everything could go back to normal. They had to work things out for the sake of Zeke. She didn't want him to see his parents argue at all, their relationship had to remain healthy for him. Wiping the remaining tears from her eyes, she looked over at him when he said that the feelings were mutual. "Really?"

COREY BIT DOWN ON HIS BOTTOM LIP, NOTICING HER WIPE AWAY THE REMAINING TEARS FROM HER EYES. ”GO WIPE YOUR EYES FIRST. I CAN’T TAKE THAT TOO MUCH.” COREY CONFESSED. HE DIDN’T WANT TO KNOW THAT HER CRIES WERE A WEAKNESS TO HIM, SO HE WAS TRYING TO DIG UP SOME EXCUSE TO MAKE HER GO WIPE AWAY THE TEARS WITHOUT SEEING HER DO IT. ”YES… REALLY.”
Leilani nodded when he told her to wipe the rest of her tears away, before she walked to the bathroom to do as he said. Once she was done, she returned to the kitchen and her seat. She was a bit surprised that he actually missed talking to her. Leaning over, she pecked his lips before looking at him with a smile. "You wanna go pick up Zeke now?"

Pecking her lips in return, the smile slowly graced across his cheeks at that. He missed that feeling; her kisses always gave him the sense of warmness on the inside. He rubbed his hand along the side of his face, taking a bigger bite out of his burger and finishing it up in a matter of minutes. ”Alright. I have to get dressed first,” He paused to look down at his attire, which only consisted of just a towel. ”I know you wouldn’t want me going out there with just a towel on.” He pecked her lips once more. Finishing up his burger, he grabbed his napkin to wipe the side of his mouth and moved into the bedroom, finding something to wear. ”You know where you put my shorts?” He asked knowing she did laundry last, or at least he hoped she did.
After the small peck that she had gotten from Corey, everything felt like it was going to be better right then. His kisses always had that type of affect on her. Looking down, she noticed the attire he had on and bit her bottom lip. "Yeah, I don't want anyone seeing all my goods." She said with a smirk on her face. Leilani pecked his lips back, before looking at him with a smile. While he went to go get dress, she started on the rest of her food. "They should be in the dresser, babe!"

Hearing her, Corey made his way over to the dresser and pulled it out, digging through the pile of folded clothes until he finally dug them out. He removed his towel from around his waist to apply lotion onto his bare body before finally slipping into his shorts. Opening another drawer, he pulled out a black tanktop to throw on next. He slipped his feet into his Nike flip flops before returning back out to the kitchen, grabbing the keys along the way. ”You ready to go?”
