she had been out for three days, and in those three days, marley had done nothing but sit in the hospital, waiting for her to wake up. to say the least, she was worried sick. the poor girl had done nothing wrong, and he had nearly killed her for it. the cops and the doctors said chelsea was lucky to be found when she was, if she hadn't been, she wouldn't be alive right now. either she would have died at dagger's hand or the damage done to her windpipe would've done the job. marley couldn't stop her hands from shaking, she was so choked up about everything that happened. chelsea was like her second little sister, she'd do anything for her and that's why she was so torn up over the situation, of course she felt awful just because she was so young and in this situation, but she felt like there was more she could've done to prevent it from happening. when news got to her that she was leaving, she knew better than to let chelsea do it alone, so she had began to head over to the house to help protect her, she crossed paths with john at a stop light, who waved at her like they were best friends. she knew things wouldn't end well then and contacted the police. they made and she counted her blessings.
she sat in the room with her head between her hands, not wanting to look at the poor girl. her nose was broken, her eyes black, cheeks scratched and bruised, lip busted. she looked awful and marley couldn't handle the sight. there was a brace around her neck and a tube down her throat, she wasn't supposed to speak for another two days but once the tube was removed when she was up, marley knew that chelsea would have a mouthful of words to say. the doctor would have to be on her case. "baby..." she said to her fiancee, standing up and going behind him. "i'm so glad she's out of there..." she wrapped her arms around his torso, kissing him on the neck and closing her eyes. she was happy he was here with her, even though she knew how much chelsea meant to him as well.

Taliyah hadn’t been at all surprised when she’d heard about Chelsea being put into the hospital by that bastard of a man she’d ended up married to after all it definitely wasn’t the first time the guy had laid hands on her that they were all aware of but it didn’t stop her from feeling insanely guilty over the fact she’d really been pushing her to leave. She knew she should have been pushing Chelsea to leave the first time it had happened in fact they all should have created an intervention or something and dragged her ass out of there before things could progress to the shitty level they’d reached now but they hadn’t and now the girl was lying in a hospital bed half dead. Tali could have lost her best friend, in fact she nearly did and that was a thought that just wouldn’t leave her mind. She was far too young to be worrying about losing her best friend and Chelsea was far too young to be married especially to a complete asswipe like he was. None of it even mattered anymore, it was done. Once her injuries healed she could finally start living like a kid again and that was something Taliyah really couldn’t wait to help her with.
As she finally arrived at the hospital and walked into her room she realised nothing could have prepared her for the sight she was met with. There were pipes and machines, cuts, bruises and they all just completely threw her. For a moment she just stood there and stared, waiting for it all to sink in. “I-I brought grapes” she muttered quietly, still in shock over what she was seeing. Her mom had told her not to come until Chelsea was at least awake because it’d probably be hard to handle but as always Taliyah had completely ignored her and done the opposite. “It’s what people bring when people are sick right? Can we call her sick? Is she actually sick?... I-I just brought grapes” she said, her mouth running away with her as she finally pulled her eyes away from Chelsea and looked at Marley. “She’s gonna be alright? Right?”
he hadn't been to school since his phone had displayed a missed call from marley and he'd listened to the frantic message she had left about the condition she had found chelsea in. it had terrified him, enraged, disgusted, and worried him. it didn't shock him, oddly, he knew what an ass john was and didn't put it past him to not lay a finger on his young wife. there was no reason for it, though. there was never a reason to abuse someone...well, there was a reason to beat dagger's ass into the ground now. that's just what oliver wanted to do now. chelsea was his closest friend aside from jace. he trusted her with his life and heart, he'd do anything for the younger female and he knew that anything she ever did wouldn't deserve what she had gotten from the jackass. it had been three days since it happened - three long days of waiting, of guilt, of despair and regret, anger and of fighting back the urge to go to dagger's jail cell and hand the man a taste of his own medicine and then some. it would be worth getting locked up. way worth it. oliver even doubted that any of the officers in the jail would press charges against him for any crimes he did against a perverted and abusive pedophile.he'd spent the night on the little recliner in the corner of the hospital room and he didn't even care about the giant kink he'd received in the neck and lower back from doing so; chelsea was going through a lot worse things and he'd be at her side no matter what. marley had also been there most of the time and that had brought them closer. they shared a mutual protectiveness of the young ginger and they both took blame for not taking a bigger action on her marriage and stopping it before it had gotten to where it did. now he sat, rubbing his eyes and watching marley and dylan before directing his eyes to chelsea to avoid all that lovey-dovey shit. he hated every single one of her marks on her perfect skin and he wanted to hit john dagger as hard as he could for each one. he was plotting revenge when the sound of tali's voice distracted him. "hi tal..." he says softly, standing up and crossing to her. "they said she'll be up soon but...she's fine." he responds for marley, taking the bag of grapes from her and then wrapping his arm around her shoulders. he didn't care if she didn't like it, he was doing it anyways.a eeeck. longish.
