James was really surprised that her mother was apologizing to Jayden. In her eyes, it should be her father doing this, not her. She was happy that her mother did so anyways before turning her eyes back onto Jayden, listening to him speak. She smiled a bit, bringing her eyes down to the floor before looking back to him and then back at her mother.

“I know you two will be okay in the long run. It's gonna be hard, but things will get better.” She smiled before reaching over, kissing her daughter's forehead. She pulled away, letting the two be alone. James sighed heavily, feeling her heart drop in her chest. It was all too easy at this moment. She didn't even know to be happy or just burst into tears. She hated her emotions through her ass for a loop. She felt a lump in her throat, swallowing hard. She looked over at him, hearing him speak. She licked her lips, her being pulled onto his lap. She rested her hands in her lap, before turning her eyes onto him.
“At least she was supportive,” she shook her head.
“But what the fuck?” She chuckled slightly.
“She knew...” She pushed a strand of hair behind her ear.
She smiled, feeling his lips against her cheek. Her eyes turned to him, shaking her head.
“Well we have her on our side, so we have nothing to worry about, until he comes home.” Her eyes closed, feeling her stomach go into knots as she heard the door open, hearing her father's voice. Her body jumped hearing the door close. Now it was her turn to sweat the bullets. She wanted to just run up to her room and buried her head underneath her covers and never to show her face, but it wasn't that easy.
She sighed heavily, resting her forehead against his.
“Can I just pack up my things and runaway right now?” She chuckled slightly, trying to make things a little lighter, but she knew it wasn't going to be this way. She knew her father had a temper, and she wasn't ready to see how he would react to this all. She was starting to feel sick to her stomach as she didn't want to move from the spot that she was. She couldn't break down now. She had to keep moving.
She heard his voice before turning around to see him coming into the kitchen with her mother behind him.
“Hello baby girl.” She smiled faintly, looking over at him.
“Hey dad...” “Jayden.” James instantly rolled her eyes at his greeting to her boyfriend. She wanted to know why her father didn't like him, but right now at this moment, it really wasn't going to matter anymore because she was sticking with him regardless of what he said.
“Why the solemn face? You all right sweetheart?” James looked down before looking over at her, wanting her to just come out with it.
“Do you want a drink honey? You know, relax, take a seat.” James was a little happy that her mother was trying to get her dad in a seated position before this happen.

“I'm fine Dana.” He turned his attention back to his daughter.
“So what's going on?” James really wanted to puke right now, but nothing would come up. She sighed heavily, not even moving from his lap.
“Daddy...I have to tell you something.” Daniel looked at his wife before going back to his daughter.
“What is it? You know you can tell me anything sweetheart.” She ran her tongue over her bottom lip, ready to speak. He stood by the fridge, looking through it, happy that he wasn't staring her down. It made this a bit easier to spill it.
“I-I'm pregnant.” She spoke softly. It was completely silent, and it was driving her crazy. He never moved from his spot, and she heard her mother calling his name but he didn't say a word.
James got up from Jayden's lap and made her way over to her father.
“Daddy please...Say—,” her words were stopped and her body dropped to the floor, feeling a stinging sensation coming across her right cheek. He hit her, struck her down. Her hand rested against her cheek as the tears streamed down her face.
“You have nothing to say to me.” He snapped as her mother came to James' aide.
“You have no idea what you're fuckin' doing. Can't keep your legs closed, you stupid little brat.” James stared up at her father, her cheek throbbing in pain.
“Have you lost your bloody mind? She is your daughter! Your own flesh and blood! You can't do this!” Dana snapped back at her father.
“He ruined my fuckin' child. She's no longer my daughter.” James felt her heart drop in her chest, not believing a word that her father just said about all of this. She didn't need this. She knew it wasn't going to be this easy.
