<b>So uh...Ms. Cartido, tell us about yourself?</b>"Well, I am originally from Manhattan, New York. I have lived in New York for over 19 years. That's right, I've seen and heard it all. You know, growing up in New York you have to be everything but scared. I was born on November the 18th, to Justice and Juan Cartido. But unfortunately, my mother lost way to much blood during the delivery and passed. It's a very touchy subject that I rather not discuss. You know, it's hard being a girl and growing up without a mother. It was just me and my daddy, best friends. My father has been a photographer for over 30 years, so I travel with him all around the world while being home schooled. Growing up, I never really got to actually have <b>real</b> friends. So busy moving from state to state, country to country; I never really interacted with many people that much.
I guess that is why I'm known as the <b>tourist</b> around town. Juan and my mother met while they were in college. She was studying to become a doctor and he was busy taking pictures and drawings. I am mixed with Italian and Dominican, only 25% African American on my mother's side. I sometimes help my father with taking pictures, just to make him happy. I have to give it to him, he has really did a good job of raising a teenage girl on his own. My mother and father were both madly in love with each other. Even though they had me out of wedlock, I was no mistake. Sometimes though, I wished I would've had at least a sibling or two to just see how things would have been. I get lonely sometimes when I'm at the house by myself. These days, daddy let me stay home by my self when he decides to go across country. He claims that he wants me to have a nice adulthood, I guess.
Growing up in New York, things weren't exactly the creme of the crop. I witnessed murders, drug usage, and other illegal activities. Maybe that is why I love to smoke pot and drink underage. Oh well, I'm grown and I know what I'm doing. Oh yeah, I forgot to add one little thing about me. I have been diagnosed with <b>Diabetes Type 1</b>. This means, the glucose, or as we call it sugar, tends to become very low in my body. Which overall makes me take insulin, which is medicine administered through a shot. I usually do it on my leg, that way nobody will think I'm smoking crack or some shit. I know, due to my drinking I could possibly re-encounter my meds, which could end me up in a diabetic come. But like I said before, I know what I'm doing.
Daddy makes sure that I take my insulin, but there has been times when I have had that scare. But I am trying to watch out for my body though, I don't want to die. Other than that, living life in New York was great. I loved the schooling, the people, and everything else in between. Daddy told me one night over carry-out that we were moving to California. Hey, don't get me wrong..I did think I wasn't going to have much fun here. But, I guess luck looked out for me. So now when daddy tells me he's leaving for a trip, I don't even frown no whine. Because I know, I will have fun regardless."
<b>Oh wow, what an interesting background you have there. But, how about you tell me about your personality? Like the things you like to do...what you don't like?....etc.?</b>

"I'm your average goofy headed young lady. I love making funny faces in my pictures and cracking people up. There is never a dull side of me unless I'm pissed the fuck off, which is barely ever. I'd like to believe that I can get along with many. But I do understand that there are haters in this world, whether we want them or not. I'm not conceited, but I don't think wrong of myself either. I might have a pinch of arrogance, but that depends on my mood swings. I am very caring, meaning I will sit there and try to understand the situation at hand.
Never been a stubborn chick, well atleast I don't think so. Some people say I tend to always think I'm right, but who doesn't? If you want a debate, we can go all damn night. I can talk my ass off, sometimes I don't know when to just shut up. I speak my mind at all cost, Avele has nothing to hide. You want the truth? I'll give you the damn truth. I'm a competitive person, whatever I want I will definitely get. I get it from my father I guess, oh well. I never get up on anything, because daddy always said once you give up one thing, your giving up everything.
I can be sweet, then again I can be sour. I'm not about to just somebody walk all over me. No way, no how. I'm outgoing, but then again staying to myself in the house isn't bad neither. Only a few people have captured my heart, these days you can't trust anyone. I love making friends, even though I was scared to at first. But after living here for one year, I adapted quite nicely to the people. I'm such a sweetheart with a bit of fire.
I guess since I'm young, people think I can't handle my own. I'm a boss bitch! I can handle any and every thing given to me. As in for relationships? Yep, I've had a few. But since I'm a <b>VIRGIN</b>, it seems to scare off plenty of guys. But I don't care, when I'm ready is when it will happen. Can't trust too many men these days because of the dirt they do. I still love to flirt though, all shameless acts of fun I perhaps.
I'm your average girl next door. I can be one of the guys who likes to play basketball, or be one of the girls who likes getting my nails done. Either or, I am joys of fun and you'll know it once you start hanging out with me. Just hopefully, you won't get me mad. I'm spitfire, don't get burned BITCH!"
