PLOT
In the early 1980s a secret worldwide organization know as the Gardiner initiative began to work on a chemical compound to alter human genetics. Their goal? To allow humans to develop superpower abilities.
In 2008, they discovered a formula that would affect certain humans depending on their genetic structure. Once the Gardiner Initiative cut through the red tape of governments around the world they put this chemical compound into world water supplies.
In January 2010 stories began to surface around the world of people who could perform amazing feats such as fly, turn invisible, even read minds....

•The Rules•
------------------------------- •Registering•

• This is a roleplaying site so please register with a characters name. Please make your username your character's first and last name.
• This site does have an application! Please do not roleplay until you have completely filled it out. Also remember to post your application in the APPLY section.
• People apply to the game or waiting to hear back on their application should keep their posts confided to the game essentials or the F.A.Q. Please do not post in the other parts of the board.
•Writing•

• All IC posts must be a paragraph at least.
• All IC posts must be in third person past tense.
• Read the other player's post carefully before replying. There is nothing more annoying than seeing another character completely ignore something important in the scene or describe what they're suppose to be seeing incorrectly.
•Characters•
------------------------
• There is no a limit on how many characters you have, but I'd rather you have 1 or 2 great ones, as opposed to 5 or 6 barely active and under developed ones. Only take what you can handle. Also, if you do have multiple characters, please mix up the genders. If you already have two female characters then pick up a guy to make the game more gender even.
• I want diversity in the game. The plot is that the mutation is suppose to be happening world wide which means there would be a variety of ethnic backgrounds affected, not just white people. If you already have a couple of white characters then try picking up a PB who isn't white to add to the cast.
• Godmodding characters or Mary-sue/Gary-sue aren't allowed here. No one is perfect, and neither are your characters.
• NEW Ask permission before using your powers on another character!
• Your characters should have a somewhat realistic past. Traumatic incidents like child abuse, rape, death, etc. are allowed but don't overdo to the point your character sounds like they're from a V.C. Andrews or Anita Blake novel.
• All characters have only had their powers since December 2009. It is currently July 2010 in the game. No one has had their powers for longer than eight months. This is not new since it's in the premise but people keep misunderstanding so I'm adding it here.
• Since the powers are relatively new characters DO NOT have perfect control of their powers or have learned to use their powers completely as soon as they come into the game. This will be developed as the game goes on.
•Activity•

•EDITED You don't have to be on everyday or every second or third day but if I've noticed you haven't been active in a while and have not offered a reason for this inactivity or are on hiatus, I will contacting you. Also, if your hiatus is up and you're still not back I will be contacting you. If you don't get back to me within the time period I've given you in my PM, you will be removed. Note, if you're a player who I know is regularly active I will be lenient with this rule. If you're a player is more often inactive, I will be stricter with this rule.
• Applicants have three days to post their character in the game after being accepted. Any applicants who do not do this will be removed from the game. Why? Because it's kinda annoying to see players pick up characters and then never post them.
•Rating•

• This is an adult game which means all players have to be 17 or older as the game will deal with mature themes.
• This is the hidden 'prove you read the rules' part. If you don't have this in your application, you will not be accepted into the game. To prove that you have read the rules put this in your application at the end: "Do the evolution!"
•Most Importantly•

• What happens IC does not equal OOC. The character might be a jerk but it doesn't mean the player is.
•Remember that it's just a game. The point of it is to have fun!
