Hello!

I am new to this board as well, but i thought i would have a crack at this anyways.

Why spears on the Saurus? are you intending on them being charged and need the extra attacks? in my exp playing matches the extra save you gain for hw+ shield will come to your aid more than the extra 5 attacks you gain from spears (for free mind you). It also frees up another 20pts for you to spend elsewhere. (which could possibly used on one of the skink priests to give him the cloak of feathers to allow more free movement around the board for the priest, and thus increasing the effectiveness of the slann's close range spells early in the game. It also allows effective march blocking of enemy troops too!

The other option i would suggest trying... make the steg more scary by dropping the EoTG (you have an assload of magic as is) and chuck a skink chief on it with war spear, that in a squad of skinks would be quite a scary sight indeed! It would still leave you with 10PD + the extras you will gain from the slann, but will give the steg 2d6+1 impacts and the warchief 3 str6 attacks on top of that... should be enough to scare any unit silly from being charged and allow other units to move more freely.

It's a nasty list no doubt just have be careful about being flanked by hoard armies, tomb scorps and tunnellers which could cause you some grief...

play test it and let us all know how it goes mate!

That's 10 attacks these days since sauri don't have the predatory fighters special rule anymore.
