It is going to take a while to adapt. I foresee much difficulty against WoC, and lists will probably be small in numbers with all the expensive choices available. Armies will be different from the old book, and while I didn't play the old one so can't pass judgement on it too strongly, I think it is better now.

Well, one thing I did notice is that both saurus warriors and temple guard got a nice boost... especially the saurus warriors.
Their statline stayed the same, lost the predatory fighter special rule, and both they and their spears cost one point less. On top of that they gained the sacred spawning of quetzl for free. The only downside is the lack of sacred spawnings. So a unit that used to cost 195 points (10 sauri, full command, spears, sacred spawning of quetzl) now costs only 155 points. Meaning that for the points differance we can take three more saurus warriors, an almost complete unit of skinks, or some other nice choice. All-in-all, we'll probably see a lot of saurus warriors soon. -------------------- |
