though i am not that big a movie buff....happened to catch up with SARKAR.

guys a movie not to be missed out on....

the desi version of Mario Puzos' , the unforgettable "the Godfather".....
its a classic.....

the background score of "govinda govinda...", adds to the intensity of the movie....

the father and son duo of amitabh and abhishek is indeed magical...
hats off to another Godfather fan and the maker of the movie Ram gopal Verma...

though not an exact copy of the orginal english make....but the way in which extracts of the movie is done in...is excellent....

bravo for such a movie...at times when there are those lovey-dovey non-sensical movies doing thier rounds....

watched SARKAR.

impressive? yes.
the story is predictable (there is no story), but it has the potential of gluing u to the screen for the full length of the movie.

i didnt like the background "govinda" (didnt really find it relevant), but i liked the heavy flute in the background.

recommendations : YES... u dont get to see something like this coming out of bollywood often. so dont miss it.

Well jimmy my friend the SARKAR movie ....as per me was too fast . While the godfather movie which was made in 3 parts was best story written of it type.

Ram gopal Vhatever has cramped the movie in Its && Bits ............
It lost all it flavor as per me

Example.... when did abhishek take the gang from his father was not that well expalined in SARKAR huh.gif

But Bollywood wise i will This movie 3 star out of possible 7 star. rolleyes.gif

the indian audience wudnt have the patience to go thru the sequels of the GODFATHER...if it were to be made in hindi...

i guess thatz Ramu' way of depicting the CLASSIC in his own style....

I felt the movie was made more to portray the charachter of Bal Thakrey. The way Amitabh has dressed and is always with that Rudraksh maala. Even though Bal Thakrey is not a hero for everyone, there are huge masses of people in mumbai who are his followers. Bhai giri, dunda gardi kinda stuff are his specialities. Abhishek and Kay kay are suppose to be Raj Thakrey and Uday Thakrey, i guess (even though Raj is not his son, but his nephew).
