The thing is though, it doesn't matter if they have a new domain because it's teenhelp.org which is registered on all the search engines and bookmarked in peoples browsers.

There are a lot of teen sites like this, and now teenadviceonline is going to be cornering the market..

the search engine thing isnt much to be worried about. google bots(and other search engines) will notice that teenhelp.org is gone, and they will find helpingteens.org. it took one week for google to notice that i changed my domain to yoaliens3000.com.

i mean like all the content and such. the search engine bots search through the content, not just the website name and address. so it wouldnt be a problem. if google found that domain, and it was empty, it wouldnt be at the top of the search list. something like helpingteens.org would bc it has alot of content.

i dont know if that makes sense or not.

Adam is opening himself up to all sorts of legal issues by doing what he is doing. However I do think he did the right thing under the circumstances. I think they should clean the entire InvisionDB and start anew but thats me.

If they do that, they lose their entire userbase.

actually no.

Google positions the sites according to thier page rank (PR), links back and keywords.

For helpingteens.org to be in top of search engines, they need to get even more links back on site's that teenhelp.org has. Could take years to even get near the teenhelp.org domain.

Teenhelp was never the Number 1 teen mentoring community anyway. between keywords "teen help" and "teen advice", teen advice gets more searches in google or yahoo than "teen help".

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=teen+advice those are who are at top of the market

teen Help : 4947 searches done a month
teen advice: 11736 searches a month

Since helpingteens.org is NOT teenhelp.org, teenhelp will stilll be around and getting more vistors and hits that helpingteens.org. helpingteens.org has a mountain to climb. Could even take over a year to get included in just the yahoo directory. 4_1_103.gif

yes, he is. if that person BOUGHT the SITE and not just the domain name, the new person OWNS the entire Database, templates and site. not to mention copyright theft and false information when they say....

helpingteens is a seperate site, "teenhelp" still hold the above title and recognition, no matter how much the power hungry adam tries to talk up his back side.

Helpingteens.org is a new site, with stolen content.

eh, powers struggles. he didn't get to own teenhelp, so he trying to get what he wants now, instead of working for the new owner. tut tut. typical icecream.gif

i know i sound like an asshole, but i hope this doesn't work out for the admins. i really know i probably sound like a cranky baby, but when they took chit chat away, it really took a great part of the site with it. i haven't really gone on the SG's much since then... i don't come here as often as i went on TH.... so yeah, i'm fading away i suppose, but I think that if TH and/or HT are gonna be run the way TH was, I'm eventually gonna just quit going

Exactly, if you looked at the bottom of all TeenHelp pages it said either copyright Mike Fox or TeenHelp.org.

Adam has put himself in a legal situation now, he does not own any of the content even if he did design it. It was all owned by Mike Fox who fired Adam and then LEGALLY sold to this other person.

Why doesn't anyone want to give the new TeenHelp a try with a new owner?
