I'm seriously considering having my tongue pierced over the summer.

Any good/bad experiences of this?

I dont have mine peirced too scared lol but alot of my friends that have it done well the majority say it didnt hurt that bad but their toungue swelled up for a longgg time. :blink:

And you can't eat solid foods for awhile.

Which is NEVER good.

Ew no. Don't get a tongue piercing...it could get so infected...I mean, you eat with your tongue...it'll be exposed to so much bacteria in your mouth...
Then it'll get rusted...I bet that'll happen even if you do wash it every day.

I was also considering getting my tongue pierced over this summer. I'm debating actually...if I get a piercing this summer..should it be my labret or my tongue. But yeahh, I'm all for the tongue. I think it's nice.

I personally want to get it done.

But, my friend got it done. She said the only hard part was that you couldn't eat yeast or salt for like a month. Or something to that effect.

Other than that, she said it didn't hurt.

But to each their own, no?

Ohhhh I'd like to get a medusa piercing, in the middle of my top lip. I think that would be cool but it would rub like crazy.

It may also damage your back teeth as well. But it can look really cool thses type of piercings.

Oh yeah, totally. When I had my lip piercing it used to rub on my teeth ALL the time. So annoying.

My mate has a lip piercing, and if its not in, she can shoot water out of the hole where her piercing usually is. It looks like so much fun! :D

Actually, tongue piercings heal really fast. If you didn't like it and took it out for like a couple days it would heal up.

In response to the first post: I think you should do it. I'm considering getting one myself at the moment, and I know a few friends who have had them. If you're seriously considering it, don't go to the most inexpensive piercing place. You don't want to risk anything when getting something pierced.

I was thinking about it again today. I'm going to look for placements of tongue piercings to make sure I choose the right one.

I'd like it in the tip of my tongue, so that it's erm.. in a better place. :D

and so what if you cant eat certain foods for while.. it'll be worth it in my opinion..
