Aofw Drawing Contest, I think its about time we had one ^__^

Heyo All!!

Well why not bring a bit of fun back to the art section? ^_^. This has been sitting in my mind for days now and the possible removal of the season 4 project finnally gave me the push to try this out. ^_^.

Contest

What if there was to be a season 4 of the Animals of Farthing Wood? However the producers wanted different animals to appear in this new series. Thats where you guys come up!

Design a new character for AOFW.

Rules

1. Sounds simple? Well heres the most important rule. It cant be any animal from the original AOFW group. In other words no foxes, adders, badgers, weasels, toads, mice, voles, kestrel, hare, hedgehogs, herons, shrews, squirrels, newts, deers *breathes* Yeh you get the idea :P. Try and be imaginative and come up with a creature they havent already shown in the series ^_^.

2. The Creature must be a British or European species. No American (unless it is an alien species which is found in Britaib), Austrailian or Asian species. Lets try and keep in fairly realistic. What creature MAY turn up in White Deer Park? :P

3. I know some people out there will be saying "Aww But Im no good at drawing". Well the contest is not based on how well a piece is drawn but rather on how orginal the character is. It doesnt matter if your the best artist on the forum or the worse. Everyone has an equal chance!

4. Try to give your character a name ^_^. If your no good at names thats no matter. You can just call it by the name of the creature e.g. Kestrel is called Kestrel.

5. One character and one entry per person. This makes it fair for everyone.

6.PLEASE NO MATURE CONTENT! This includes things such as nudity, sexual references and blood (though Im not bothered about blood, i know i few people out there that dont like it). If any of your pictures has this in, it WILL NOT be excepted and will be reported.

7.You can use any medium be it traditional, digital or whatever. The choice is yours ^_^.

8.All enteries must be in by the deadline date. When you have finished your piece, please upload it on this thread.

Prizes

Due to circumstances, there will only be two winners. The overall winner and the runner up.

First Place will receive a picture from me of their designed character with a main cast character of their choice ^_^

Second Place will receive a picture with no background of their designed character.

Deadline

You have until 25th November 2009 to get your enteries in. Im afraid if i dont get more than 4 enteries Ill have to call it off :(. I do hope people take part in this. And for those that do. Have fun!! :bounce:

Yaay, this is such a cool idea :D I really hope I can find the time to take part. I have a few little ideas buzzing about. Are you allowed to "cartoonify" abandoned book series characters? ^__^

I easily suck at drawing, and I've never really drawn animals. But, I can use this as practise for something I want to do in the future, so count me in.

Good attitude! Not to be patronising but I was pretty much your age when I started drawing animals + on the comp, an I wish I'd started sooner. So maybe now is the time!

As for the contest, sorry but my backlog and my art blockage prevents it for me this time Tsuk-Zors.

Oh hell, why not? Though something tells me I have another contest to draw something for ... bah, memory is appauling with regards to artwork.
