Elizabeth nodded to him in response, a small smile still gracing her features. "Good," she said; "Then you should have no problems. It's rather easy when you get the hang of it. But I must warn you as a newcomer, some of my crew isn't quite what you might call friendly. They don't take kindly to strangers. But hold your ground, and they'll eventually back off."
The Tide's owner placed a hand on the main mast, taking a moment to peer at the afternoon sky. Turning to the red-haired lieutenant not far off, she then called, "Axelle, set course for the port at Barock. I think that the crew could use a bit of rum for the evening, and I don't want the bastards bringing their drunken antics aboard." When Axe left in the direction of the wheel, Liz once again turned to Claude. "I think the fact that I allow them to port and get a drink is the only reason any of them listen," she said with a small chuckle, more to herself than him.
